You watched as the green flames flickered around the strange monster. The monster seemed confused by this as well. Within moments, the green flames had died away. The monster’s eyes glowed like embers of hatred. “Loooooo!” it bellowed. Wow, it was mad! Then it got popped in the head by the small rock you had thrown. You had good aim, after all, you’re a Pokémon trainer. Without good aim, you’d never catch anything, right? The rock hadn’t done much damage, if it did any at all. This thing looked to have a thick skin on it. But, you had made it mad. That counts for something. You started issuing commands to you forces. Heracross was the first. He nodded his massive blue head. With a buzzing sound, he started picking up speed. You watched as he turned into a blur, Agility kicking in. Looking down, you issued commands to the little kitty of your group. She listened, tilting her head as you told her to use Agility, then: “whatever else you feel is necessary.” She seemed a bit confused by this command, but she darted off, a brown streak of speed as her own Agility boosted her along. Heracross had made his top speed, and was now in position to use Ariel Ace. He ran forward, his feet picking up and off the ground. The air was filled with the sound of his wings humming. It was like listening to an old WWII bomber taking flight. Heracross slammed into the blue alien monster’s shoulder, throwing it off balance. The monster dropped your Charmander, breaking it’s attack. Your Meowth was right behind the big bug. She’s been shadowing the bigger Pokémon, hiding, so she could make a sneak attack. She broke off, and swerved behind the creature at the last second. Tiny claws popped out of her fingers, and she Scratched the monster. The monster, for it’s part, barely seemed to notice her. The big alien monster had lost it’s meal and was looking back and forth across all your Pokémon. It’s tentacles flailed as it started emitting a strange noise. The noise was loud, and sounded like a high pitched screech, coupled with a deep, thrumming sound. It was punctuated with even higher-pitched sounds, like fingernails on a chalk board. You had to cover your ears as the Supersonic attack was blasted at your Heracross. The big, blue bug took the hit. He shook his head, trying to block it out. But the attack was effective. Heracross's big eyes rolled back in his head, and he fell to the ground twitching. The monster took a long step towards the bug when Abra tried to make the Barrier again. You could see the light bend around the psychic energy, but it was no use. The energies never coalesced into the needed Barrier. Abra ran forward, to protect the giant bug. The even bigger monster noticed the yellow Pokémon, and it’s eyes flashed. Abra’s right hand was glowing with a yellow flame. He leapt at the monster, who threw his own arms out to grab the fox. But, nothing was there… Abra had teleported at the last second, and was now coming down on the monster’s head with the Fire Punch! The monster didn’t have a chance to defend itself, and took the mighty hit to the back of it’s head! Way to go Abra! The monster roared once again! This time it threw itself upon your Meowth! This brute latched it’s tentacles around the cat and a sickly green light formed. The monster started draining the life force from her! All the cuts and scrapes done to it were begging to mend! The beast dropped your Meowth to the ground, she seemed groggy, and unsure of herself. The monster laughed at you. “Loo loo loo loo!” Oh no it didn't! It was laughing at you! You looked around quickly, trying to find a weapon. And when a house explodes, it’s not very hard to find debris. You found a nasty plank of wood. It was charred, but had some nice, rusty nails in one end of it. Yeah, that was a definite beat-down stick. :... :genderless Level 12 36/49 84%VS ![]() KO KO Level 9 34/43 91%[[Fireblast - 20%]] Level 7 39/39 82%[[Barrier - 18%]] Level 4 18/33 88%(Speed +1) (Confused) Level 15 50/55 81%(Speed +1) (Confused) -Stand-by- ![]() 45/45 94%[Confused] |

I watched with a tiny smile as my commands were followed swiftly and effectively. For my own part I managed to find a heft plank of wood with some old nails and a hefty weight to it. I picked up the stick and swung it around experimentally. It had a nice weight to it and that made it perfect for swinging or throwing. I began to step forward slowly and evenly, death glinting in my eyes. I called out to my allies, "Caligula, keep him occupied with that tactic again. Skip the Barrier. We'll work that out later. Heracross, use Fury Attack and attack from various angles by upping using Agility. Captain, are you okay?" The little fire lizard growled viciously in response. He was fine. I the told him his duties. "Use Ember on the creature. Seems like it won't do much, but we're going to be attacking from so many angles that it won't even matter." I pulled little Meowth out of the fray because she didn't seem like she was doing very well. Snapping open my last Pokeball, I re-released Gastly into the fight. I told him to watch for an opening and use Hypnosis. A little voice in the back of my head told me that I should catch this Pokémon for use as a brute force attacker. But it was not something that I wanted to consider. Things had been taken far enough and I was going to murder that bastard monstrosity. By now, I had reached the monster. When standing next to it, my head reached just below its shoulder. This was going to hurt it more than it hurt me, especially since this wouldn't even hurt me at all. Lifting my stick, I swung the rusty nails straight at the monster's arm, knowing that it would stick in and cause a lot of pain. Well, if it hit. |

Such anger have you against this thing, anger is path to the dark side it is. And now enough with the yoda talk and onwards towards victory and certain monster carnage. After swinging the rusty nail board at the creature (probably not the smartest things mind you) it connected causing the nails to go deep in its arm. It screeched and turned around whacking your legs with the board. The board not able to take the abuse shattered upon impact with your legs. Although it stung it didn't seem to break anything, the same couldn't be said for the creature. The impact plus the shattering of the board caused the nails to go deeper into the creatures arm, which caused it to start screaming more. The creature looked worse for wear right about now, bleeding from its wound... well what could pass for blood anyway. Caligula teleported up close with a fiery fist started whacking the strange alien creature into next week. Although the attack didn't seem to hurt the creature to much, it did start heating up the nails which did start hurting it more. The creature turned around to attack the small annoying abra, but the abra teleported away before any harm came to it. Abra reteleported next to you, seemingly to watch the battle take place, and to await further instructions. The heracross started attacking the blue, black, and white creature with a fury of small attacks. The attacks were boosted in speed by its agility move, sadly because of its confusion its reflexes were still slow. The Creature jumped up and headbutted the blue bug, with just enough force to send it backwards a few feet. The Heracross rolled slightly and stood back up, shaking his head trying to clear it up a little bit more. Other then being thrown, and being confused the blue bug seemed to be okay. Captain seeing a chance sent out several small embers at the creature. The creature didn't seem effected by it to much, although it did roar out in pain because the ember attack reheated the nails in its arm. Whacking it with the board with nails was a good idea, it seemed to be augmented the fire attacks more. The creature turned and looked at the little charmander, it didn't seem to do anything at the moment. Gastly seeing a opening started using hypnosis on the deranged, demented, and depressing creature. The creature closed its eyes when it realized what the gas Pokémon was trying to do. It didn't close them soon enough to avoid the full effects of the hypnosis attack. It started to swagger around, probably due to loss of blood, multiple attacks, and drowsiness. The creature could be a great benefit to your team should you reconsider capturing it. I mean look any Pokémon that can last this long against this many Pokémon opponents has to be worth something right? But considering that you have its death in mind, then continue on with the multiple attacks. :... :genderless level 12 16/49 75%VS :genderlessKO'd level 9 34/43 85%[[Fireblast - 20%]] level 7 39/39 70%[[Barrier - 18%]] level 15 45/55 70%(Speed +2) (Confused) :genderless level 10 45/45 88%(confused) Standby level 4 18/33 88%(Speed +1) (Confused) Nervous me this made. I swung my board with rusty nails and caught the creature off guard. It landed on the monster's arm, embedding the nails deep into the flesh. My attack didn't leave me unscathed though. A turn by the beast knocked the board into my legs, but it merely shattered and left a minor sting. My Pokémon attacked the monster once again and the fire attacks seemed to become more effective. I grinned and watched the metal nails heat red hot. To Caligula, I said mentally Target those nails with Fire Punch. He should go down like a light. As Caligula teleported away to do that, I came up with a great idea. I might want this thing dead, but it might also be useful for a profit. Could I do it? I pulled an empty Pokeball from my belt and began to throw it. I stopped, looked at the monster and then saw a Pokeball fly through the air, somehow leaving my hand without me realizing it. Well, it couldn't hurt could it? |

The Pokeball flew through the air at the same time that Caligula teleported up to the giant again. Your other Pokémon all watched, wondering what was going to happen now, and hoping that they wouldn't have to be allies with that horrible creature. Caligula smacked it good with a Fire Punch, though even with the nails it didn't do TOO much damage. Following that, the Pokeball sucked up the creature and the little red and white sphere began to twitch. After what seemed like an eternity to you, but was really only ten seconds, the Pokeball released the monster again. Looks like it's not quite low enough in health for you to catch it, though it must be really close. Caligula teleported back next to you, though this alien didn't care where it went to. It leered at your Psychic type and then quickly knelt down and used Bite, and luckily you had leaped out of the way. Who knows if he could have destroyed you! Caligula however was hurt pretty badly, and if you want to be able to keep him from being KO'd, you might want to end this quickly. :... :genderless Level 12 8/49 73%_______________ ![]() Level 9 34/43 85%[Fireblast - 20%] ![]() Level 7 14/39 57%[Barrier - 18%] ![]() Level 15 45/55 70%(Speed + 2, Confused) ![]() Level 10 45/45 88%ON STANDBY ![]() Level 4 18/33 88%(Speed +1) Edited by DarkSlayer1331, Dec 11 2008, 06:20 PM.

((I'm taking a few liberties here, but well, if you think I can't let me know. Also, Gastly shouldn't be confused because I returned him and then sent him out again.)) I frowned as I saw that Pokeball fly through the air. And when it failed to catch the beast, I knew that it was time to end this. I called to my Pokémon: "End it. You're all pissed as I am at it. So do what you wish." Captain grinned a devilish grin and powered up a Fire Blast attempt. It was no more powerful than it had been before, but it was still impressive in my eyes. Gastly, no longer confused, disappeared from view and went in to lick his opponent or do something. With that puffball, I wasn't sure. Then, Caligula powered up a Fire Punch once more and charged straight at the behemoth not even bothering to Teleport. I grinned at the ingenuity of a distraction. Well, I thought it was a distraction. Heracross flew forwards at the behemoth, but his attack worried me because of his confusion, so I pulled him out. Three attacks headed towards the beast and it seemed to be staggering to stand up. Death was eminent. Victory was at hand. |

The clash of titans continued, your Pokémon being Zeus and this alien being Hades. Okay, so that might be a little bit of exaggeration, but without having to go full on with details, let's just say that this creature couldn't handly your onslaught and fell to its knees. Rather, it just plain fell, creating a huge quake that you were sure the whole city could feel. Some people were looking out of their windows and were horrified to see what it was that made such a large upset. Mothers hid their children away, telling them that it wasn't safe for them to be out, and all the little old ladies grabbed all their little kitties and held them dearly. But in the end, this Pokémon was now pretty much dead, and there was nothing more for it to do. Although it turned into a little green fire ball and went right back up into the sky, but not before giving your Pokémon experience. Okay, well it's a shame you didn't try to catch it again, because your Pokémon didn't get very much experience. I'll give you the lowdown on who got what. At least what I think they got, but I don't fully understand the experience system, so I could be doing it wrong. Either way, this is what I'm putting in your Profile: = 31 ![]() = 36 ![]() = 17 ![]() = 29 ![]() = 43 ![]() That isn't too bad overall I'd say. Well when people saw that the beast was gone, they started to come out from their houses ever so slowly, a few of them asking you what it was. Some of them said that they should contact the government and find out what the hell is going on. Others said that there was no need to do that to figure out that what was going on was a taking over of the world. But do you think that's what this was, or do you think that maybe these alien things were gone for good? Either way, it doesn't get rid of the fact that you should probably get to a Pokémon Center and heal your Pokémon. Then don't you think maybe you're ready to meet up with someone? I heard a rumor that somebody wanted to meet you, although I can't remember who off hand... |

I walked over to the felled beast and looked carefully at it. It was dead as far as I could tell and if it wasn't, I didn't care. I motioned Heracross to its wings and the big blue bug ripped the two blue things right off. Blood seeped out and the wings dripped with blood or what seemed to be blood. Anyways, I dried the wings on the burned grass and motioning once more to my telepathic wonder, Caligula, I and my Pokémon disappeared. When I opened my eyes, I had reappeared outside the Pokémon Center. Entering the center, I waited impatiently for my turn to heal my Pokémon. While I waited, I kept the wings hidden from view. When my Pokémon were healed and all set, I left the center headed for the Wayford Research Institute or something. I had seen a sign earlier and I figured I might get a reward for these wings. Suddenly, I remembered something and I rushed back to the Pokémon Center. I put my Bronzor and Meowth into the PC and withdrew my Ditto and Houndour. As I did so I noticed a Pokémon I had never caught. Must have been a glitch in the system. I shrugged and prepared to log off. ((If you think taking the wings off shouldn't be allowed, let me know. The open endedness is so that someone can connect my journey with Snowhawk's so that we can trade my Slugma.)) |

Once you had gotten your Pokémon healed and switched some of your Pokémon out for others, you rushed back out of the Pokémon Center. So you want to go to the Institute to see if you can't get a pretty penny for those wings you clipped off? That's not too bad of an idea I must say, although you didn't get too far before you noticed a Pokémon battle going on. It was a guy and a girl, and one was using a Poochyena while the other was using a Pichu. You watched as the dog was hit by a pink heart bubble, a Charm attack, before he latched onto the little electric Pokémon's arm with a Bite. He then tossed his foe, and Pichu landed pretty hard by the looks of it before getting back up. Thundershock was then used, but the Poochyena was able to easily dodge it and return to the side of his owner, the boy. Interesting battle, don't you think? ((OOC: You can now post right into Snowhawk's Journey)). |

I chuckled to myself as I traded that useless Slugma for $200. And by traded, I mean I stole the money and left the Pokeball. Shrugging, I walked away and before anyone could stop me, Caligula was out of his Pokeball and we were off. I opened my eyes in front of the Wayford Research Center Place Thing. I walked right into the building and said to the receptionist, "Good evening ma'am. I have something that I would like to show to a scientist. I feel that he will be very interested in it. It involves those weird Pokémon that attacked the world through that portal. May I see one of them?" I grinned a winning smile and waited patiently. I figured that the scientists would want to study the things, but that wasn't my primary motive. The real motive was to establish contact in this place. If I could get a contact here, I would have access to the most powerful network in the world. Such contact would be useful. |

The receptionist looked up at you with a clear look of complete uninterest in what you had to show the scientists. Many people come walking in here, claiming that they have something that they would be interested in. It only took once to teach this girl to know better than to just let somebody simply walk right into a lab with anyone. So she gave you a blank stare and didn't even make a move to go get anybody or let you in anywhere. After a few moments she started typing on her computer like she was doing before, probably trying to irritate you. However, seeing that you weren't about to leave without having done what it is you want to do, the receptionist sighed and picked up her phone. "Hello, Dr. Matiglia? There's somebody here who claims to have something that has to do with the alien creatures from October. Yes, of course sir. I'll tell him sir." Hanging up the phone, she looked back up at you with the same emotionless look on her face and pointed to a chair. "Please sit right there and wait. Dr. Matiglia will be out as soon as he can. But don't be expecting anything for at least fifteen minutes. If you can't wait that long, I suggest that you come back some other time. Maybe he won't be so busy then." Dismissing you, the girl went back to typing out whatever it was that she was doing, leaving you to either wait or leave. One scientist walked by you, looking at you and was about to stop until the receptionist waved him on. This must have been some kind of signal to show that you were already taken care of since he did just continue on to wherever he was going. Perhaps you should just call out to him, or do whatever it is that you want to do. Just wait, or maybe leave all together and come back at another time. It's up to you. |

I looked at the girl with amusement as she told me to wait. Standing before her impatiently, I waited a few seconds before she called up a scientist. Dr. M-something. She told me that I would need to wait fifteen minutes or so. I rolled my eyes and moved to flip the girl off. If I was the psychopathic murdering type, she would be one to go. Since I'm not, she got lucky. Before I completed my gesture, a scientist walked by and was going to stop and talk to me. The stupid bitch of a receptionist waved him along as if to tell him that I was taken care of. She might think I was, but I sure as hell was not. Ignoring the girl, I followed the scientist and said, "Excuse me, sir. You seemed interested in speaking with me. Is there a reason for that?" Politeness usually got one places. I figured it couldn't hurt in this situation. Still, if the rest of people in this building were as stupid as the receptionist, then they were in for a rude awakening later tonight. |

The girl looked up at you when you started to make your rude gesture, but since you stopped, she looked away. However, as you began to follow the scientist, she started to yell out at you to stop bothering Dr. Craigman and to sit back down. She then said that if you weren't willing to do that then you could just leave the building, although clearly you didn't listen to her as you stopped Dr. Craigman. Looking toward the bitch receptionist, he sighed and stopped walking, giving you a bit of his time, which is probably important. When you asked him about his interest in you, he rolled his eyes and shook his head, clearly not too happy right now. "I was just wondering what you were doing here and if I could help you. Obviously not, since Ms. Cartwright didn't page me. That means that whoever can help you will get to you as soon as they can, just as she told you I'm sure. Now if you'll excuse me, I really must get going to my office, I do have a lot of work waiting there for me." Trying to be as nice as possible, he patted you on the shoulder before brushing past you and walked towards his office. You don't really have to just give up with him though, as he does appear to be the friendliest person thus far. Although that's hardly fair to say since the only other person you've seen in here was a complete bitch who should be shot and buried. None the less, if you turned to see, you would see that Ms. Cartwright was on the phone again, looking at you. That probably wasn't a very good sign, and if I had to make a guess, I would think that she was calling security on you. Why is she being so rude to you and not letting you go about your business? Somehow I doubt that she's paid so much money that she should actually be that interested in making sure the scientists weren't bothered. But either way, you must make haste and make your choice. If you get back to your seat, she might give you a break, although I'm sure that you don't care for a "break" from her. |

I stood waiting for a response from the scientist and I got scorn. Or well, it wasn't really, but it was close enough to it that I decided that I hated this place. Still, there was a potential for money to be made here, so I didn't just give up. I tried to make things work. I decided that the girl at the desk might be an idiot, but she had enough power to kick me out and that wasn't something I needed. So I sat and waited. As I waited, I thought of all the interesting things I could do to torture this poor girl. I decided that she would be the first victim of my robberies. I wasn't sure what she would have, and it was likely not much. But I was going to mess with her anyways. She definitely deserved it. Finishing my thoughts of revenge, I began to wonder what this Dr. M-something would be like. If he or she was anything like the Doctor I had just spoken to, this job would be harder and easier than I had expected. Easier because I was easily smarter than that moron, but harder because stupid people take more time to win over because they take less initiative. I shrugged and waited. Time would tell of the fruits of my labor. And either way, I still had my first victim. |

As you sat there thinking your evil thoughts, the secretary kept on typing away at her computer. Her phone rang and she picked it up, looking at you to make sure you were going to stay where you were. "Hello Dr. Matiglia. Forty five minutes?" She looked at you again, and you could see that she was trying to size you up and it seems that the doctor was going to have you wait for another forty five minutes. "Of course I could tell him that, sir, it's just that he's been waiting here patiently. Well more patiently than they usually do anyhow. Yes sir, I know you're very busy, but I just don't think... no sir, I'm not meaning to be disrespectful. Please, if you could just hear him out though... sir... I know sir... yes sir... But another forty five minutes is ridiculous if I do say so myself. Just hear him out, he can't possibly take too much of your time. Thank you sir, I'm sure you won't regret it. There's something different about this one." Smiling, the girl set the receiver on the hook and let out a long sigh, looking at you with... oh my gosh it was actually a SMILE on her face. Nodding, she grabbed a piece of paper and a pen and began to hash something out on it. When she was done, she handed it to you, and you saw a little mini map with a star that said "you" and an x that said "Dr. Matiglia's office. Knowing that you would understand that this is a map to his office which you were supposed to go to now, she started back at her computer. It wasn't long before she got another phone call which you could semi-hear as you started walking to his office. But this conversation wasn't going so pleasant as you could hear her yell before slamming the phone down on the hook again. Eventually you found Dr. Matiglia's office, and you knocked and heard someone say to come right on in, and make it hurry! Opening the door, you looked in to find a lot of weird scientific stuff all over the room, and a large wooden desk centered with a middle aged man behind the desk. Papers were strewed all over it, and he looked a bit weathered as well as annoyed with something, probably being interrupted in his work. But I'm sure once you're done, he'll be in a better mood, no? "Well, Ms. Cartwright tells me that you have something of great importance for me? And it has to do with the recent alien invasion on our planet?" He motioned for you to sit down before walking over to a cupboard. Pulling something out, he sat back down and you saw that he had a bottle of something, probably alcoholic, in his hand. "I hope that this is good, because I have a lot of work to do, and you're taking up a lot of my valuable time." So... go ahead and explain it to him. Make sure you sound very interesting. |
