Hurray....*coughs*....Alleys seem to attract most trainers like flies. You were definitely no exception in this case. Trainers usually wandered into these to try and resolve trouble....In your case, you seemed more intent in creating it just to find a pink blob. Yet, it's still a very rare pink blob.

The alleys of Wayford weren't as messy as those of other cities, but they still could use a rag here and there. The "bad" crowd was more prone to being around in these as well; twice, you noticed a gang or two, not to mention druggies and drinkers dotted all over the place. Soon, almost without you realizing it, you had entered into the bad part of town.

Along a street of terrible buildings lurked a sort of "black market". Apparently, Wayford's cops weren't too keen to come into this district, so stalls of illegal trade were pretty well rampant. Most of them boasted rare, foreign items and Pokémon at extremely high prices; most of these asked for more money than you'd probably see in the next year of training and thievery...or whatever you were up to these days.

A sign next to a skinny guy boasted that he was a mine of "priceless" info about anything in Wayford. Most of him was covered in a brown trench coat with numerous bulges; he was probably carrying illegal items within his pockets. His papery-thin sallow face was covered by the brim of an old ten-gallon hat that matched the chocolaty-brown color of his coat.

"You lookin' for anything, sonny?" he shot at you suddenly, taking a cigarette out of his pocket and lighting it. "Or are you just lost? Mind you, I can give you directions to nearly anything...if you pay right." Admit it, this sounds a little intriguing. If you were lucky enough, he'd point you right to a Ditto.

Or you could try someone else, although perhaps they'd be less willing. Might as well give it a shot with this guy for now.

The underworld was an interesting place. Soon, when I walked through the place, people would cower in fear. I would be a master criminal and all would fear me. Plus, if I could ever obtain that elusive Pokémon, Ditto, no one would ever know who or what or where I was. All things considering, my dreams were set on obtaining Ditto. As I walked through the streets, I saw people selling everything from drugs to rare Pokémon, but one man caught my eye. He seemed to be the one to talk to if I needed anything.

He said to me, "You lookin' for anything, sonny? Or are you just lost? Mind you, I can give you directions to nearly anything...if you pay right." As he did this, he lit a cigarette and began to puff smoke. Despicable habit, smoking cigarettes. Shows such a lack of culture. The least the man could do would be to smoke a cigar, but he seemed knowledgeable enough. All I needed to do now was convince him that I had something he wanted. All I had that I was willing to offer was a worthless Meowth, $30, and that red box. I hadn't taken the time to see what was in it, but it could prove useful. I took the box out of my pocket and looked at it.

I opened it a small bit to peak at what was inside, and I knew that whatever was in there would have to be my bargaining chip. Smiling broadly at whatever was in the box, I put it away and looked back at the man. "You can give me directions to nearly anything, you say? Do you know where I can find certain rare specimens of Pokémon? For example, one that can transform its shape at will? If you can lead me to one, you can have the red box. What is inside it is so valuable that I dare not say what it is. Regardless, it is not valuable to me."

I stood there waiting for the man to respond, knowing that he would probably want to see what was in the box. And that would ruin my chances of finding Ditto. So I stuck my hand into my pocket and wrapped my hand around Abra and Heracross's Pokeballs. Just for safety. You know... safety.

"I take it you're lookin' for a Ditto, then?" the nicotine-ridden guy asked, raising one of his eyebrows slightly. "Those are pretty darn rare around here, even for a city. Luckily for you, I happen to know of a general area that attracts 'em...Not a fixed location, mind you. Those things can literally 'shift' around a lot, if you get my drift."

Snuffing out the cigarette, he pulled the brim of his hat down more, showing that he meant business in his own personal way. Unbuttoning his trench coat, he revealed many rare and illegal things to you concealed in various pockets. Evolution items, gold nuggets, all sorts of drugs and tobacco, the works. This guy was a regular black market salesman...and he knew it. Why did you think you could fool him with a box?

"So you say you can pay me with what's in the box, boy?" he asked, smirking. "I'd like to see what's in it first. I like to see what I'm bartering with. You don't think amateurs learn how to avoid being gypped? I've been pulling this sort of thing since I was about your age. Didn't have anything else to go to, otherwise."

If you didn't give him something of value, you could get into trouble. For all you knew, this guy had a couple of associates around...and a hefty Pokémon or two to boot. He may not seem like much, but even "common trash" could yield a surprise or two. It would be best to have a back-up plan, or else you aren't going to get anything for your efforts.

Or, you could lie about what's in the box by really twisting the truth...Or something to that nature.

"Since you were my age? Well, perhaps later in life, the two of us can form a little partnership. I plan to take this island for all it has and I might need a strong and wise older person to keep me in check. However, that proposition is for another time," I replied to the man's gibe. It's always good to flatter people. Plus, I was serious. If I could get him to take me in, I wouldn't have to start from scratch. I'd have influence and power from the start. And when I gained enough influence of my own, I'd take him out to put myself in power.

"Looks like the old tricks won't hold up here. However, what I have appears to be something that you do not have. I happen to have some Rare Candies in this box. Looks like 20 or so. However, I'd like to keep some for myself. So how does 15 Rare Candies sound for a trip to this Ditto gathering?" I asked. They were free and I wanted some for myself, but it was best to keep to the truth as a back up. I removed one from the box and held it in my hand. Then, I put the box away. My other hand remained in my pocket, wrapped around my Pokeballs.

I stood waiting for the man to agree or disagree to my offer. It wasn't like I had much else to offer. I had the Meowth that I didn't want and $30. That was it. But since he didn't seem to have any Rare Candies in his coat, it looked like they were either popular or the man used them himself. In any case, they appeared to be more than useful enough for bartering with. My eyes scanned the alley searching for any sudden movements. If there were any, I would have to release my Pokémon and hopefully, I'd have the element of surprise. Because likely, I wouldn't have the upper hand in strength.

If the guy liked this flattery, he didn't show it. Like most dealers, he kept his game face on and tried to not become too impressed with anything; he didn't want to jump at just any offer. Still, you raised his eyebrows slightly when you offered him fifteen Rare Candies. These were indeed rare, and they were probably hard to get a hold of.

"Fifteen Rare Candies, you say?" he asked, smirking. His eyes were twinkling ever so slightly, and you knew that he wanted them. "Now you're talkin'. It usually costs me a bundle to get a hold of those things to sell...and they're dead useful on Pokémon." Good, he had jumped at the idea. No doubt that he'd charge outrageous prices to sell them, but he would give you what you wanted now, right?

"Okay, so you wanna know the scoop on Ditto?" he asked earnestly, leaning in closer. His smoky breath caused you to cringe inwardly; didn't this guy ever brush? Truth is, probably not. "An old guy used to breed Ditto in the city; he's gone onto wherever you go in death now. His Ditto were wild, and for a time they were rather common...until nosy trainers like yourself came along, usually wanting them for breeding and battling purposes.

"They're pretty rare on the streets, but it's said that a few still live in the guy's condemned mansion. It's in an older area of town; there's a lot of gang-bangers there, so watch it."

With that, the guy scrawled down the address and handed it to you. Then, hewalked off, whistling but no doubt still dangerous. He lit another cigarette and started puffing on it while contemplating a set price of the new RCs in his arsenal. Either way, you didn't have any other business with him...for now.

Turns out you'll have to walk halfway across the city...well, you'd get there eventually, correct? Anyway, many streets and hours later...you were on the designated abandoned street. Much of the pavement was cracked and had weeds creeping up through it; ivy was growing around metal fencing. In front of you was a decrepit mansion with a "Danger" sign swinging in the breeze at the gate...you had never seen a more forsaken and run-down place.

You couldn't make out too many details from here, but this could definitely be termed as "Haunted". Still ready to walk in?

I gave the man his payment and he completely disregarded our deal and left me with an address and my remaining 5 Rare Candies. How stupid was that? Maybe he wasn't the best idea for a partner after all. Before walking away, the man did warn me about gang-bangers, which was rather odd. I'm a dude. Who gang-bangs dudes? Maybe I didn't want to know.

Anyway, I eventually arrived at the house, which seemed to fit perfectly in with the stereotypical haunted house. It was old, rickety, and falling to pieces. There was even a "Danger!" sign put up. Like I would believe that. I wanted a Ditto, and I would get a Ditto. End of story. Recalling Nurse Joy's advice, I released my Pokémon to help me search. Caligula (Abra), Meowth, and Heracross would search the outer grounds for a Ditto, while I, Gastly, Bronzor, and Charmander searched the inside. Informing my six Pokémon of the plan, we walked onto the grounds.

I repeated my plan to Caligula, Meowth, and Heracross. They would search the grounds for anything suspicious and if they found something, Meowth would attempt to tickle it. If it attacked, Heracross would defend the team until I arrived. I would be warned of the attack by Caligula, who after recieving confirmation that I had heard his news, would engage the Ditto as well.

If I managed to find a Ditto within the building via tickling (how absurd), I would send Gastly to retrieve Caligula, Meowth, and Heracross. From there, Caligula would Teleport all four Pokémon to my location to engage the Ditto as well. I was going to take no chances with a Ditto. I would pull out every stop to get the transforming Pokémon into my hands and under my control.

This was my plan

While three of your Pokémon took off across the weed-covered and overgrown grounds, the remaining three along with yourself entered the old building. Even though the home's porch was fairly sturdy, the inside wooden floor was not. Carpeting had rotted/been removed ages ago, and many of the boards were falling in or rotted through.

Wallpaper was peeling all over the place, and there were some holes here and there in the ceiling. A heavy stench of mildew and decaying wood reached your nostrils, and the place was rather stuffy. Some sunlight was let in by the windows, but only through the broken bits of them; the rest of the windows were covered in grime. And we're only talking about the entrance hall. What looked like a kitchen was to your left, and a sitting room/parlor was to your right. Some old wooden stairs were at the end of the entrance hall, but a human would be foolish to try and climb them, as half of the stairs were broken/falling through.

Nothing strange was in the entrance hall; in fact, if you didn't count all of the "lovely" attractions of the falling-down place, this part was rather empty. Regardless, Charmander had the right idea and started tickling some of the floorboards. Gastly and Bronzor tried to, although Bronzor didn't really have any arms. Not a lot of help in this situation, is he?

Oddly enough now, the dimensions of the room seemed to be stretching. The hallway seemed to stretch longer and longer until it didn't seem to have an end. The walls seemed to dance with glowing red eyes as at least a dozen ghosts appeared in all of their glory. Gastly shuddered a little, and you knew at once that these things couldn't possibly be Ditto...right?

:gastly x6 Lv. 12 (various)

Yay, you had just walked into a trap of ghosts. I wonder if your Pokémon outside were having any luck? None of them had reported back yet...But even with your full arsenal of Pokémon, it would be rather foolish to battle all of these ghosts. Most of them were of high levels, so you'd have to use brains more than brawn in this situation. They don't seem very happy that you've intruded into their abode.

Then again, there was the possibility that some of them were only copies of ghosts, since Ditto could store transformations in their memory. But alas, you couldn't really tell the difference here. It was probably best to bide your time, but the whole situation is really left to you here.

((As I've said elsewhere: Finally. Someone makes my journey difficult. Everything else I've done has been too simple for my tastes. Not that I mind, but for a Ditto, it should be difficult (and beyond that, fun).))

I entered the building and began walking around. My Charmander had the idea to start tickling floorboards and other items. I smiled at his intuition and said to him, "Hey, little one." The firey lizard turned to me with a big grin. "From now on I'm going to call you Captain. Ok?" The creature's grin grew even wider (if such a thing was possible) and he began to go back to what he was doing.

Yes, Captain would be the leader of my fighting squad. Caligula might have a lot of brains, but Captain's instincts were something I knew I could rely on. Thinking of the feisty Abra reminded me of how he had yet to respond about finding something. I couldn't figure out if such a thing was good or bad. Well, I trusted that Caligula would contact me if things went wrong outside, so maybe he had just not found anything.

The four of us, myself, Captain, Bronzor, and Gastly, walked down a long hallway that didn't seem to have an end. It just kept going and going and going. If I felt fear, I might have been, but fear was something that I felt was a waste of time. When the walls started to glow, I became a little annoyed. Something was getting in the way of my finding a Ditto. I was not going to allow this.

When the eyes finally revealed themselves to be a dozen ghosts of relatively high power, I changed my tune a bit. There was no way that the three of my Pokémon could take on all of the Pokémon in this room. And if I tried to attack, I would do no damage at all. See, THIS is why I wanted that guy to come with me. But he ignored the terms of the deal and now I was stuck here by myself. Asshole, I thought to myself. But enough about that, back to the 12 ghosts ready to kill me.

I knew that any of these ghosts could be a Ditto, but I doubted it. Still, I couldn't rule out any possibilities. I thought for a few quick seconds and made my plan. I stood still and looked at my Pokémon, informing them to do the same. I wasn't here to disturb anyone's homes. I just wanted a Ditto. However, it was possible that the Dittos and the ghosts were in league with each other, so saying that right out was a bad plan. What I did say is the following: "My, my my. Such remarkable specimens. I've never seen such powerful creatures working together in such a manner. I applaud your protectiveness. I assume that I have intruded on your homes and that is why you are angry at me. Well, I came in here looking for rare specimens of Pokémon, and though you are not exactly what I was looking for, you are fine specimens yourselves. If you will allow me to continue my search, I would be much obliged, but if you would like me to leave, I shall respect your wishes. All I want is to research Pokémon, especially ones that I have heard are in this house. So, what judgment do the ghosts of this house pass on me? May I stay or must I go?"

Flattery was a fun friend. And when it isn't a lie, everything because so much more fun. All I had to do now was hope that the ghosts would allow me to stay and search. Perhaps they felt the Dittos intruded on their home and wanted them out. That would be useful. Regardless, I hoped that they would allow me to stay. If they didn't, well, things would become far more fun, but also far harder. And no one likes a hard job.

You had already learned rule #1 in the terms of thieves and so forth: Beware of being double-crossed. Sure, that guy had pointed you in the right direction, but he had neglected to mention that this place was inhabited by some hefty ghosts; Perhaps that was why he wouldn't come with you. I wouldn't suspect that this had been a trap set up by him, but this was definitely a pickle with wild Pokémon.

Your attempt at flattery to the ghosts was well-planned, and you may have had three or four of them convinced at one point. Still, you didn't have the leader of the group, Dusclops, convinced. You could almost feel its single, grotesque eye probing your mind; odd how ghost and psychic types have this kind of ability. It knew full well what you were here for, and it didn't seem to involve research.

"You should have realized...We coexist with the Ditto." With those cryptic words spoken in your mind, the room started spinning to the point where it was only a senseless blur of color. You didn't quite know why, but you found yourself blacking out as you had a falling sensation....
~~~~~~~~~~~~
The first sensation that hit you was that of a musty smell. Opening your eyes, you were only met with...darkness. Sounds around you could be heard in the dark, and Captain's tail came into focus. Raising the power of his tail flame higher, you could see that all of your Pokémon had joined you. Obviously, the ghosts had also captured the group outside.
And where exactly were you? You were obviously in some sort of small cellar, as the floor and walls were made of ancient, slimy brickwork. The ceiling above you was wooden, but you had a funny feeling that you couldn't get out that way; earth was falling through it. A set of ancient wooden stairs that were falling through spiraled out of the cellar opening and to a wooden door. Such an easy way to get out...but you didn't know if you were even in the house anymore.
Sure, the door was locked, but for all you knew, a hoard of ghosts was waiting on the other side. Cowards would stay put, but you obviously wouldn't. You were a man on a mission, and nothing was going to deter you from it...except death, of course. Death would literally try and prevent you, mainly since the ghosts more than likely had died once. And if the exit wasn't blocked, it was more than likely watched. If it was true that the ghosts and Ditto cooperated and lived together, than you'd have a harder time getting a hold of one of the pink blobs from this point onward.
The option of giving up is still a necessity... ;)
((Do you mean option not necessity? xD. Either way, there is no way in Hell that I'm gonna give up.))
I waited for the response from the ghosts, assured that they would exile me from the house and I'd have to try again later. Well, I was right about my assumption that the two races, ghosts and transformers, lived together. The Dusclops probed my mind and spoke to me, You should have realized...We coexist with the Ditto. That only made sense. If the two races were at war, it'd mean that this house wouldn't be still standing. To be honest, this made things more difficult, but it also made everything that much more fun.
Suddenly, my vision began to blur and the room spun. I began to feel as if I was falling, but then I blacked out. What a pain. Well, I woke up and I was in a musty old cellar where the only light was the light on Captain's tail. The lizard's tail illuminated the room enough for me to see all of my Pokémon in the room with me.
Using that light, I saw that the room was made up of brickwork, which was covered in slime. The ceiling was made of wood, but it also had dirt seeping through cracks and landing around me. I figured that meant I was in the basement of the house. Assuming that they took me to the basement, that is. Well, I knew one thing. This wasn't going to stop me from getting me a Ditto.
Well, there appeared to be only one way out of the room. There was a wooden door at the top of a staircase. Since it was the only way out, I should probably just go out there. But there was another option. I could go back to the hall...nevermind. Caligula was never there, so the psi would never know where I was talking about. Looks like I had no choice but to go through that door.
Before going through with my plan of action, I searched the room thoroughly, just in case. I also tried to figure out what I might have to do to get a Ditto. Since I wasn't dead yet, the ghosts didn't seem to be willing to deter me from getting a Ditto permanently. Also, it was possible that they were testing me to see if I was worthy of getting a Ditto. Like Houndour. The dog didn't want to come with me unless he deemed me worthy. Perhaps this was what the ghosts were planning. Either way, I had only one option. After searching the room, I walked up the stairs surrounded by my Pokémon and exited the basement, ready to face the unknown.
(I knew that. XD)
Forcing your way through that locked wooden door was no problem at all. Indeed, it gave after a couple of blows from when you and Captain hammered at the door with your bodies. The third time around, the door splintered, and you were able to kick the remains away with your legs. Once the dust from this had cleared, you were able to behold where you were in the decrepit house.
Along with your assumptions, you had indeed been in a sort of basement. The room that you had entered appeared to be the remains of a kitchen, although most of its items had long since been removed. The only things that lingered now (besides an inch or so of dust) were some old cabinets that were falling apart and an ancient sink filled with spider webs. I highly doubt that the latter is in working order. Nothing strange seemed to be in the kitchen, but then again, Ditto could become anything. That, and you could vaguely sense a pair of eyes watching you...some of the ghosts, no doubt.
Following your earlier commands, all of your Pokémon spread throughout the kitchen and started tickling things. One time a floorboard emitted a weird squeaking sound when they did that, but that was only because a Spinarak was being crushed. Nothing strange there; more than likely the little guy had made the cobwebs in the sink. Still, it may be wise to track him. After all, homes like these were probably full of spiders and other insect life.
That said and done, you exited through the kitchen and found yourself back in the hall, now within close distance of the stairs. The ghosts from earlier weren't present, although you were fairly sure that they were still in the building. If they weren't on the ground floor or the basement....perhaps something was worth protecting on the second floor. Still, you couldn't climb them on foot without falling through the stairs...and probably back into that wretched basement.
Sighing, your Pokémon followed you out of the kitchen, still having not found anything. You were starting to wonder if Nurse Joy's tickling hint hadn't been false...but then again, they usually weren't known to lie. No doubt that she had seen a Ditto at least once, so it would be fairly reasonable to trust her.
(Since I'll be gone for a week or longer, I'm handing things over to Shadow until I return. I've explained things to him, and I think he'll do quite well.)
I and my Pokémon left the basement after searching it futilely. We exited the door (which we were forced to break down violently) and entered the kitchen. We began to tickle everything in sight, finding nothing of interest, except perhaps the existence of some sort of insect like Pokémon. They didn't interest me much. The seven of us left the kitchen and came right back to where we started. We were now back in the hallway, right next to the stairs to the second floor.
It was obvious that the ghosts were in the building because I could feel that chill of their presence, but that could have just been Gastly. Either way, they had to still be here. They were protecting the Ditto. Since nothing seemed to be on the first floor, now was the time to go to the next floor. I thanked my Pokémon for their efforts and returned them to their respective Pokeballs. However, I left Caligula out of his Pokeball because he was my only way up the stairs.
I looked at the stairs carefully, and I quickly came to the conclusion that they were not nearly sturdy enough to hold my weight. That was why I had left Caligula out. I told him to Teleport us up to the top of the stairs and from there, we would move out. I told him to use his psychic senses to preempt any incoming enemies, so that we would not be caught off guard. With that said and done, the two of us teleported up, up, and away.
(Sorry that it's been so long... -_- I've had a whole torrent of things happening)
As Caligula could see the second story landing from where you stood, Teleporting both of you up there proved to be a simple solution. The floor seemed solid enough to hold your feet, although rotten boards and a couple of broken ones were evident here and there. A large hall ran the length of the second story, and ancient half-closed doors were situated on each side of the hall. A musty smell hung in the air, and stairs that were completely rotted through ran on at the end of the hall and into the attic.
There were noticeably more holes that led into the dark attic above your head, and occasionally a splash of sunlight would filter through. No doubt that the roof had some decent holes as well. Two chipped stone statues flanked the doorway which you had just walked through. One was of a miniature Dragonite, and the other was a sinister-looking Garchomp. These pieces of artwork looked nasty, but you didn't have anything to worry about with these. After all, they were just two feet tall and wouldn't really prove to be any trouble.
This whole time, Caligula had been scanning the area with his psychic abilities for anything living, but this was almost futile. Ghost Pokémon were pretty resistant to psychic types, and they weren't exactly living. Their brain activity was almost nonexistent as well, and Ditto pretending to be inanimate objects wouldn't really show much "activity". Better luck next time.
Suddenly, odd music drifted to your eardrums from what sounded like the room closest to the attic stairs. It sounded sort of like a sixties rock song, but it was slow, clunky, and the song kept skipping on occasion. A cold breeze ruffled the back of your neck, and you knew that ghosts were still present. Perhaps they thought that you'd give up before they'd have to interfere again....
No, scratch that. Remember those two statues that you just passed? Well, they were slowly turning on their pedestals towards you, and their stone eyes were glowing a sinister red....And, just like that, the Garchomp statue pounced at your face, arm/hand blades first. At least those are made out of stone....
Caligula and I reached the second floor without a hitch. We began to search for something, anything, but nothing seemed to be a Ditto. There were two statues of Garchomp and Dragonite that seemed oddly suspicious to me, but no matter what I did, they seemed normal. I tickled them, but they stayed cold and hard. I still trusted Nurse Joy's words and moved on. As I walked away, I began to hear music on the floor above, the attic. It was an old sixties song, playing on what seemed to be a nearly broken phonograph. I assumed that because it kept skipping and the music was very scratchy.
I continued to walk down the hallway, unconcerned with what the music meant. I would figure that out when I came to it. As I walked away from the suspicious statues, I saw the eyes glow red. I turned, and in that instant, the Garchomp statue leapt up and out at me. I yelled in fright and must have screamed in my head, Fire Punch! becuase Caligula leaped off my shoulder with his hand wreathed in flame. I dropped to the ground and released Captain and Heracross. The two of them stood by my prone form and waited for me to give them commands.
I told them to take on the Garchomp statue before us. I told Heracross to try to use a new move called Brick Break. "Concentrate your energy into your hands. Then, slice down at the statue, trying to shatter it." To Captain, I said, "Captain, just concentrate on building up your fire power." I watched them go, hoping for the best. For his part, Caligula fought on his own, shooting off Fire Punches where he saw an opening.
Caligula's Fire Punch came into contact with the statue and was able to successfully repel it, if only for a moment. A scorch mark was left on the statue's belly, and it didn't seem too thrilled about that. A throaty, gravelly growl issued from the Garchomp statue in your direction; its fellow joined him by jumping off of its own pedestal. Luckily for you, this stone Dragonite didn't seem to possess the ability to fly.
Deciding to avenge its fellow, the Dragonite statue ran at Caligula, growling throatily before attempting to slash the Abra. The psychic fox narrowly dodged and countered with another Fire Punch. This one was better-aimed than before, and the force was enough to crack one of the dragon's wings and leave a decent scorch mark. You could tell by Caligula's set expression that he wanted to handle this possessed statue alone. No problem there, although you wondered how long a Pokémon could keep assaulting a statue with attacks. Hopefully the stone that these were made of wasn't too dense.
While Captain was concentrating on building up his inner fire, Heracross decided to try using Brick Break. Lifting up its right hand/foreleg, he started building power; this was evident when his hand started to glow white. Then, with all of the force he could muster, he brought his hand down karate-style onto the head of the Garchomp statue as it charged again. However, the power from the move faded just as Heracross's hand came into contact with the thing's head, merely leaving a really small crack.
Unable to defend itself, Heracross was slammed into a wall by the statue. Caligula had definitely scorched most of the Dragonite statue, and some of its more prominent points were cracking. This meant that your strategy still wasn't in vain, and it also hinted more than ever that the house's ghosts were still watching your every move. In fact, you were wondering if some of the ghosts weren't just copies that were really Ditto, but I wouldn't dwell on that too much just now.
Anyway, back to statue-smashing!
