The routes and streets along the city of Wayford were more than confusing. Each twist and turn lead to a new dead end. Exploring the city wasn't that bad, but if you're trying to get out, it could have been frustrating. Many people were out and about, even if it was getting to be cooler out as the sun was retreating to its own bed.

After about three hours of walking, retracing steps, and pointless rests, Vince had found himself out of the town. He'd landed on route 2. The scenic location wasn't all that bad, even if it was getting later in the day. Then entire route seemed to light up with the darkness, anyways. Screeching, crying, howling, and growling could be heard all along the dirt path.

Almost out of no where a Heracross leaped onto to road, right in front of Vince. The large beetle blocked his path, but hadn't looked toward him yet. The creature stretched out, extending its wings as to fly off. It fluttered to a near by tree, but only to sip the honey which coated the bark. Boy, was that one nasty bug.

Vince walked out of the city and onto the only route that left the city. Walking down it, nothing really happened until a Heracross came flying in front of him. What the hell was that for? thought Vince. It looked powerful and it could be good for bartering.

Plus, thought Vince. I have two advantages. It hasn't really appeared to notice me, and I have Abra with Fire Punch. This will be good experience for him anyways.

Vince quietly released Abra and informed the fox, "Teleport behind that Heracross and use Fire Punch. Then, when it notices you Teleport away. Confuse it. Make sure it has no idea where you're coming from or going to. Ok?" The little fox seemed to smile and moved to attack position. Then, he vanished from sight.

The Abra nodded at your diabolical plot and did as you asked. Silently, the battle-loving Pokémon Teleported in behind the Heracross. Instantly, his fists started blazing with flames, and he aimed a good walloping double Fire Punch at the Heracross's glossy back.

Crying out in surprise, The Heracross wildly looked around to see what had attacked it. His eyes narrowing in rage at who dared to do such a thing, he didn't spot a thing. At the precise moment that the Heracross had turned around, Abra had Teleported out of there.

Suddenly, the Heracross spotted you. Thinking that you were the cause of its troubles, it flew down from the tree trunk, squared off against you, and shot itself forward with a Skull Bash at the ready. It's eyes were burning in rage, and it had KILL written all over it.

Think fast!

Vince backed up quickly and called, "ABRA! Fire Punch. Now. Attack from all sides with Teleport. Keep him distracted. We have other tricks to play. You're the main force for attack, but I want to have some fun with this bugger." Vince then drew two Pokeballs from his belt and released Bronzor and Charmander. The two watched Heracross warily and waited for commands.

"Bronzor. Use Confusion on Heracross. While you're in his head, also try to use Hypnosis, but don't overdo it. Just put him off guard." Turning to Charmander, Vince said, "Charmander, use Headbutt on Heracross after he's been confused by Bronzor. Following that, try Ancient Power, but be sure you don't hit anyone but Heracross." The little fire lizard nodded and watched Bronzor release his beam of blue energy.

Wow, you were getting clever at this huh? However devilishly you did thing. As the Heracross swooped in towards you, your battle-loving Abra teleported to the side and flung another fist full of fire. However, at the speed Heracross was going, the attack completely missed.

Now the Heracross was getting closer. But luckily your little steel coin fired a strong confusion at the Heracross. As it landed the attack, the Heracross put its hands on its head, shaking its head around in pain. This causing it to drift off target and miss you by a meer two foot, which was close!

The Heracross crash landed on the floor, sliding along the now muddy route. It lay for a few seconds before pushing itself up slowly. Bronzor hadn't been able to pull off using hypnosis with confusion together, but no matter.

Now it was Charmanders turn, as the large beetle slowly turned around, a flying lizard headbutted it hard in the chest. It slowly slid backwards across the ground, as your Charmander embedded its head into it more and more. However, now Heracross had a chance, it was superiorly larger and stronger then your Charmander, and it grabbed the small red lizard with both its hands, before shoving its large horn into it sending it flying back, sliding across the floor next to you.

It had taken quite a beating right now, but it wasn't about to give up. Infact it now had its sites set on your Abra, as it quickly took off the ground and began charging towards it!

Vince watched his plan come into play flawlessly, aside from Abra's miss. Excellent, he thought. As Heracross came close enough to be touched, he didn't flinch. He simply watched the battle take place. When Heracross began to run at Abra, Vince grinned wider. He said, "Abra. Same thing. Mess with his head. Teleport around him, but when you get the chance use Fire Punch." The fox nodded and watched with steely eyes, unafraid of anything.

Turning to Bronzor, Vince said, "Bronzor. Excellent job. This time, I want you to use Abra's distraction techniques to hit Heracross with a Hypnosis. At that point, Abra should nail him with a Fire Punch, if its even the first. Got it?" The cog bobbed vigorously again. Turning to Charmander, Vince said, "Little one, are you all right?" Charmander looked at Vince confusedly and nodded his head. "Good," said Vince."

"I want you to go in there and use Ancient Power after Bronzor has used Hypnosis. Get a good build up of power while you wait for the right moment, okay?" Charmander nodded and jumped to the occasion. His little body began to build power.

[Like I said before, quality+quantity both need improvement. Please try and add a little bit of length to your own posts.]

The synergy of moves was almost a tactful fusion. I say almost because. Well. Read on and find out.

The first part of the plan was to start with a confusing onslaught of teleporting would kinda be a good idea. The constant transfer of energy is what got to Abra, though. Using teleport, even if on ones self, uses a lot of energy. Despite his best efforts, Abra was stopped dead after about four movements.

Luckily, while Abra's plot was carrying out, Bronzor's was brewing. His turn to start was now. Launching rays of distorted energy was a good idea, seeing as they all connected directly with Heracross. The one thing that limited the hypnotic powers was the gap in the defending, and the opposing pokémon's levels.

As of now, the Heracross tried to smack Abra with his horn, but continued to be unsuccessful.

Charmander was up to the plate. He was ready to prove to someone that he has a higher power than what's show right now. Gathering power, he isolated a few rocks that were loosely surrounding the earth. Using a rather unusual force, he was able to briskly throw the small rocks toward Heracross.

As the rocks collided, Abra was unfortunately caught in a line of friendly-fire. On the upside? Vince is going to win this battle hands down.

Vince watched as his plans continued to baffle the large bug bringing it down to earth. It was getting weak enough that Vince should be able to catch it soon. Recalling Abra, Vince said, "Good job, little warrior, come back before you kill yourself." Struggling to get at Heracross, Abra returned to his sphere. Vince was going to get some crap when Abra left his Pokeball.

Leaving that problem for later, Vince turned to the two Pokémon that he had remaining out. Bronzor was beginning to tucker out and Charmander had some bruises, but neither of them had been in the fray as much as Abra. As a result, they were in far better condition than Heracross, despite the difference in strength. The two waited eagerly for commands.

First addressing Bronzor, Vince said, "Bronzor, try Hypnosis again. Focus on getting Heracross off balance so Charmander can get a hit in. Got it?" The creature began to sway back and forth emitting pink rays of subliminal messages. They said, Go to sleep, Go to sleep, Go to sleep. Averting his eyes to not be caught in the spell, Vince said to Charmander, "Now its your turn. Use Agility. Then, run in there and use Headbutt while Heracross is off kilter. Watch out for Bronzor's Hypnosis and bring Heracross down." Nodding his head, Charmander snorted like a bull and charged headlong into battle.

For his part, Vince watched carefully, drawing a Pokeball from his pocket. When Charmander hit Heracross, he would throw the orb, hoping it would catch Heracross. If it did, everything would be going well. Vince was beginning to create the perfect heist team. He had Bronzor who could put people to sleep quickly and quietly. Then, there was Abra who was indispensable for both getaways and breaking and entering. Finally, Charmander and Heracross would be his main fighting forces. Vince smiled inwardly. Tohea was going to find out the power of Vince Roden.

The winded Heracross hissed as Bronzor moved towards it, trying to get out of the steel type's wake with Agility. Yet, the Hypnosis was wide-ranged enough to still hit the bug, making him drowsy. Within moments, the Heracross became immobile and hit the ground, snoring to his heart's content.

While this had been happening, your Charmander had been elevating his own speed by running around the area. Now, the lizard-like Pokémon bit his lower lip as he lowered his head and charged at the Heracross with a Headbutt. Needless to say, the hit was dead-on, and sent the Heracross flying; the bug landed a few feet away, spread-eagled and still in sleep mode.

Taking your chance, you let the Pokeball fly. The spherical electronic device arched through the air before hitting the Heracross. With a red flash of light, the insect was engulfed by the ball. The Pokeball shook for a few moments, wiggling like crazy as you held your breath. Did you have it?...At that moment, the ball stopped wiggling and lay still.

YES! You had caught a Heracross! Now, you could be on your merry, happy-go-lucky way. You could use a Center, but you weren't anywhere near a town, sadly.

Charmander gained 39 :exp !
Abra gained 43 :exp !
Bronzor gained 48 :exp and grew to Level 5!

Vince nodded confidently as the red and white orb stopped glowing and rolling. Damned right he caught that Heracross. With all the fighting that he had had his Pokémon do, he had better have caught it. Luckily, Vince didn't need to get angry. Heracross was stuck in the Pokeball now.

Regardless of whether Vince had caught Heracross or not, he needed to have healthy Pokémon while on the road. Sighing, Vince realized what he had to do. He needed to get to a town immediately. But in order to do that, he needed to let out Abra who would be roaring mad. Shit! This is not going to be good Returning Charmander, Bronzor, and Meowth (who had been sitting on his whoulder the entire time), Vince prepared for the worst.

A red light exploded in the area and Abra should have appeared, but he didn't. Damn it. Where'd he go? Vince looked around slowly and saw Abra sitting on a branch with fire wrapped around his little fists.

Give me one good reason not to kill you. You just took away the glory of a fight from me, a deep voice echoed in Vince's head. "Well," began Vince, "I give you purpose to fight. We both know that you want to fight for as long as you live, but I give you reason to fight. And if you die, well, your desire is no good to either of us."

But you also command me. Is that not true?

Sighing Vince replied again, "True it is, but I command because I believe I have a better plan than you. If you think otherwise, please, enlighten me. I am always open to new ideas."

Very well. Know that your life is in my hands and I could kill you faster than you could blink.

"And yet your own life lies in mine. Now that we agree not to kill each other, we'll move on to more pressing matters. I need you to get us to the Wayford Pokécenter. From there, we're going to come back here and move out. Am I understood?"

Looking around one last time, Abra thought-spoke once more. Yes. Come to me and we will leave. Vince walked closer to Abra and the two vanished into thin air.

Wow, that Abra of yours creeps the living bowels out of me. Can't believe psychics have to be so hostile with their supernatural powers. But anyways, off to Wayford's Pokémon Center! Yes, his powers are quite beyond awesome so you two are safe from transporting into a universe where you can do whatever you want to the hottest girls and drink beer without the lousiness of getting drunk! Oh, you were hoping for that? If it helps, I'm living that life right now XP

But besides the Miller Light and the blonde Swedish girl I'm sitting next to, I have to control the lives of a ton of you puny trainers for reasons I'm not sure of. Guess it's a fair job if I get to live the common man's fantasy. Ok, let's get back to you, your creepy Abra, and that place you wanted to go to and nearly exploded because of the Abra's low level steering abilities.

Sorry about that. Teleporting sucks hell if you haven't done it in awhile

Eventually, you two resulted in standing in front of the Wayford Pokécenter with no lost limbs or Benders to unnecessarily get in your way. The sensors pinged and the automatic doors slid open for you to enter through. The place only moderately filled with trainers who were chatting under some cans of soda.

Well? Or you going to get your feeble Pokémon healed up? Get going so I can get out of this ramshackle of a facility!

The Abra hissed at you with being quite displeased for not speeding up the process but at least it didn't go berserk and swipe the face of you. The free-use healing machine was right in the corner with no one using it so you can get it done and get going. I'd say more, but that is practically all their is. The trainers over there are dwelling under the discomfort of boredom, maybe you could go cheer them up with a battle.

Or you can just head out on your merry way without checking out what's in that neatly decorated red gift box sitting behind that trash can for some reason.

((Note: You do not need to request me to know what's inside. Just inform whoever you want that there's a mystery gift box there.))

Vince arrived at the Pokémon Center safe and sound despite the potential for danger because of Abra's ridiculous temperament. He walked into the Center and quickly used the free healing machine. A strange ditty ran through his head, saying, "That was easy." For some reason it reminded him of staples, but that made no sense.

Anyways, Vince was leaving the center when he noticed a little red box. It was very odd, just sitting there, alone in the garbage. Vince picked it up, examined it and then began to walk down the street. Opening the box, Vince finally decided to see what it was all about.

Hooray you got a box, a red box, now to see what’s inside. You start opening the box, intent on finding out the contents that are inside when suddenly a voice calls out. “Thief, you stole my items! I’ll tell you what, if you beat me in battle then you can have what’s in there, if not then I get the box back sound good?” The voice said behind you.

You look up and notice a young man standing behind you, his hands on a pair of Pokeball’s. “Either way, your not leaving this place without a fight.” The man states and tosses the Pokeball’s in the air. “Gastly, Houndour, come on out!” the man yells and out pops both of the Pokémon, each looking ready and capable of handling themselves in a fight.

The man grins at you in a wicked manner and makes an obscene gesture. “Well, come on dude, let’s see what you’ve got, I doubt you or any of your weakling Pokémon would stand even an ounce of a chance against my team. As a matter of fact, if you can beat me I’ll hand over one of my Pokémon to you to show how confident I am that I’ll win. Do we have a deal?” the man asked, his voice sending the impression that he thinks you wont win, or could ever win with the Pokémon you currently have.

What are you going to do? Is the box and the possibility of a new Pokémon worth the risk of losing? Or were you going to back out and leave before the other man had a chance to react?

Vince began to open the box and heard a voice behind him, “Thief, you stole my items! I’ll tell you what, if you beat me in battle then you can have what’s in there, if not then I get the box back sound good?” Vince smiled to himself before turning around. He was a thief, yes, but this time, no one could prove it.

"You can't prove that its your box, but that makes no real difference to me. A battle is fun for itself." Vince began to rummage through his bag, pulling out his five Pokeballs. He looked through them, trying to decide which Pokémon to use. Then, his opponent tossed out two Pokémon. Excellent. Adds more strategy to the game.

As the Pokémon materialized and the opponent made his offer, Vince smiled widely. "Okay. Your Gastly will be mine when I win. Got it? No backing out."

Vince picked out his Pokeballs. First, Bronzor would be useful because of Confusion and Hypnosis. The little creature appeared in a red flash. Then, Vince put two Pokeballs away and held two in his hand. One held his Abra and the other held his Heracross. Heracross was physically strong enough to win, but Houndour could pose a threat. Abra, on the other hand, was strong enough to win, but Fire Punch would prove futile against Houndour. That Houndour would prove to be a threat.

Despite his problems, Vince eventually after about 4 seconds of inner debate sent out his second Pokémon, Heracross. Whispering to the enormous bug, he said, "If you see any fires, fly away with Agility as fast as you can."

"Since you're the challenger, I'll attack first. Bronzor! Use Hypnosis on his Pokémon and then attack Gastly with Confusion. Heracross! Use Agility and the Fury Attack on Houndour. Remember my advice, too."

((sorry about the wait))

The other trainer jeered in your direction as a few of his buddies came up behind him to back him up and watch the guy beat the snot out of you. You weren’t just going to let him do that were you? I didn’t think so. Your Bronzor floated a few feet above the ground as it tried to position itself to be able to attack effectively. He kept floating until finally he made eye contact with the Gastly and immediately used hypnosis. At first the Gastly seemed like it would just easily shake off the effects of the attack, then after a few seconds it started to lower towards the ground, its eyes drooping closed as it fell victim to the sleeping effect.

Your Bronzor quickly floated over to the ghost Pokémon and started using confusion on it. The Gastly opened its eyes as he felt the psychic attack barrage its mind, falling victim once again to the effects of an attack, this time though it happened to be one that caused confusion rather then sleepiness.

“Blast Gastly don’t let that thing hurt you like that, counter attack with Lick while its close to you. Houndour, use ember on the Heracross, try to catch it on fire. If the first one misses keep firing until one hits.” The trainer yelled at his Pokémon. The Houndour quickly followed its instructions and started building up fire energy to send out a ember. Unfortunately for the Houndour and the Gastly, the ghost Pokémon started drifting towards the first target it could spot, regardless of what it was.

The Gastly floated directly in front of Houndour, its tongue licking the face of the unsuspecting Pokémon, causing him to release his ember directly into the Gastly. Houndour growled in anger, only to feel itself freeze as the lick caused it to become paralyzed. This was the perfect opening for your Heracross, and it decided it would take full advantage of it. He flew forward and slammed its large horn into the dog Pokémon. The attack hit, not once, not three times, but four times as your bug Pokémon added a bit of a flourish into the attack while it could. Well, things seemed to be going your way, now all you needed to do was finish the stupid punk off and take the prizes he promised.
