"I do not think there is any thrill that can go through the human heart like that felt by the inventor as he sees some creation of the brain unfolding to success... such emotions make a man forget food, sleep, friends, love, everything." - Nikola Tesla

The watery shores of Tohea was the perfect place for a grass Pokémon like your Seedot. All types of water Pokémon were bound to be around Tohea! A small group of people with a tour guide in front of them stopped at the beach, looking out at the reef as the female tour guide waved a hand toward the water. "An earthquake struck this land, causing the reef to split into two halves. The explorers of the reef aren't quite sure what type of Pokémon exist in these waters, but there have been a few cases of people being pinched by Krabby's. So if you wish to go barefoot like many Tohea's residents, be careful!" A few clicks of cameras captured pictures of the beautiful ocean with the rolling waves. "Now, if you'd all follow me!" The tour guide led the people away from the beach, closer to the stalls within the city. People looked down at the myriad of footprints in the sand, some distracted by the glare of the sun on their glasses, but they all kept up with the tour guide, curious about Tohea itself. Before you had a chance to leave the beach, a bare chested surfer stepped in front of you, a large, white, grin spreading on his heavily tanned face as long platinum blonde hair fell across his forehead. He certainly looked like he was familiar with the beach. "Guess what, li'l dude? You know how that shakin' tour guide said there be some unknown Pokémon in the water?" He bent down briefly, still smiling a large smile. "Give me $100 and I'll tell ya what type of Pokémon I've seen in the water. Trust me, li'l dude, it'll be worth it!" His bright, white smile seemed to reflect the sun itself, but he never budged, awaiting an answer. Who knew if he was telling the truth... or even if the information he was willing to sell was valid. |

The new scent of Tohean air rushed through Robert's lungs. The view was quite something as he took in his surroundings, a beautiful beach, a city, a tour guide. It felt a lot like a tropical destination! With seedot in his pokeball tucked away on Robert's belt. Robert could feel a few nudges from his friendly Pokémon from his pokeball; this was a usual sign to know if his Seedot wanted to come out. He peered down to his pokeball and grabbed it click a 'click' to unlink it from his belt, finally he pressed and held the middle button on the red and silver ball as a ray of light came out of it and appearing for a few seconds a white silhouette of his Pokémon, Seedot was out and about and was delighted too. With seedot happy with his and Robert's new adventure ahead of them he couldn't wait to get started. But then something clicked in Robert's mind. [Oh wait what about Matthew?] He thought to himself. Robert looked behind him and couldn't see him in the barrage of people leaving for the beach, Robert decided to follow on when suddenly a bare chested man came popped in front of him, Robert didn't listen much as he wasn't interested, he acted as if he was taking in what the guy was saying but he clearly didn't want to know. "Firstly don't call me little, secondly I am not a lil dude, I am a nineteen year old Pokémon Trainer." He listened a bit more to what the guy was saying, it sounded slightly interesting. Then again, it wasn't hard to tell a phoney... Robert came up with an idea, he knew he had to look for his twin brother Matthew so then he came up with a solution. "Say, I like your idea, it sounds cool. I'll do you a deal, I am sure me and my brother would both like to check out these unknown Pokémon. We will once I have found him which if your still up for this deal we will find him before departing, he will give you $50 and I will give you $50. Oh and another thing, you seem a real genuine guy so I hope for your sake considering both me AND my brother are Pokémon Trainers that you will not be ripping us off. How’s that sound mate?" Seedot watched putting on a good strong looking face for the man and then jumped on to Robert's right shoulder as he watched on and spectated the scene developing. He kept a good eye out for either Matt or his Pokémon Numel a good friend of his... |

{I'm starting a tag team journey with Rob so I posted here and in my own journey just in case!!} Matt looked around the new land he had just stepped into, it was stunningly beautiful. The flocks of Wingull screeching overhead were amazing to watch, swooping and hovering, disappearing as they flew into the dazzling light from the sun. Matt brought his thoughts back down to earth and began looking around for a sign of his brother. They had become seperated on the boat and hadn't managed to meet up before the boat had docked. Looking around he wondered where Rob might have got to, maybe he had headed into the town, or maybe he had gone to the beach. Looking down towards the beach Matt watched a large tour group ushered off the beach and towards the town, but a lone figure was left behind. There was no mistaking it, it was Rob, his little Seedot bouncing up and down next to him. Matt smiled at the view and began making his way towards the beach. As he made his way towards Rob a blonde surfer stepped over to him and chatted to Rob. Matt couldn't quite hear what was being said but just managed to hear his name mentioned. Slowly pacing his way over to his brother and the surfer, Matt released the smal, dopey camel from its Pokeball and let it trudge along beside him. Matt finally reached the pair and drew a deep breath before announcing his presence. "Hey Rob," Matt said cheerily, as Numel waddled over to the little seed Pokémon and nudged it with his head. The camel then collapsed on the hot sand and started basking in the heat and sun..... |

The surfer stared at Rob, looking rather slow in comprehending the trainer's words. He stared off in the sky a few minutes, and finally realized what you, Rob, were trying to say to him. "Oh, no deal li'l dude. The price for two is $200 now! Is this the face that would lie?" The surfer continued on with his beaming smile, raising a hand and shifting his fingers through his hair. A few specks of water rained from his head and splashed Rob in the face. The surfer noticed the other kid, debating if this was the brother or not, before Matt spoke. First Rob wanted help, but it seemed now that the help wasn't needed. "$200 for my information! I'll tell ya both, li'l dudes, what kinds of Pokémon are in this water. That's it!" However, the surfer's face suddenly looked crestfallen, a delay in his reception of Rob's words from earlier finally being recognized as an insult. He wasn't doing any type of rip-off. He was honestly going to say what types of Pokémon were in the ocean... from what he knew (which wasn't very much). "Make that price $300! If you don't give me the money, then you'll both be sorry!" The beach-boy took out two Pokeballs before glaring. "Trying to make me look like a liar in front of these fine beach bunnies! No way, li'l dudes! Give me the money, or now you'll be facing the toughest surfer on this beach in a Pokémon battle!" |

[Could you change the name of this journey to Matt and Robert Prideaux's Tag Journey please? And thx for making this possible.] Robert's eyebrows rose. He looked to his brother in eagerness as if he wanted to show the guy something. In Robert's head, many thoughts of if he should just ignore him and walk past him with his brother came to mind. He smiled to himself thinking about that, but it seemed the surfer guy wasn't happy. Robert saw the surfer guy draw his two pokeballs. Seedot looked in curiosity, Seedot only battled a few days ago before departing for Tohea, with a couple of battling experience already, Seedot could sense a battle forming. Jumping off Robert's Shoulder, he stood on the firm sand ready to battle and yondering to his friend Numel to get prepared. These two new how they battle from being brought up together, this could be an interesting chemistry of grass and fire working as one. Robert looked down and saw what Seedot was doing. He nodded his head in agreement to accept the challenge, which is the challenge to battle, not to buy money to know that water Pokémon live in the sea. Robert and Matt's CTS studying would come in use for that. "Sorry mate, but you kind of started by calling me little, I am as tall as you and at the moment I am your customer that your trying to sell to. By upping the price your hardly going make any money is you?" Robert paused for a bit then continued. "Right, we have been educated in sea life from studying and I think we will pass. As for a battle, I guess you multitask. I am up for battle if Matthew is. Matthew?" |

Matt had drifted off into his dreamland and was gazing vacantly down the beach, still captivated by the Wingull flying above. His gaze changed to the waves slowly slapping against the beach and then dragging back out into the sea. He faintly heard the surfer mumble about raising the price but was brought suddenly back to earth by the two words, Pokémon Battle. Matt didn't much like the idea of Pokémon battles, they seemed slightly cruel to him. Admittedly they were fun to watch but to Matt the beauty with Pokémon was their nature, their mannerisms and the power these creatures exhumed. He found the thrill was to watch them in their habitat and to observe these magnificent creatures as they went on with their secret lives. If this surfer wanted a battle though, Matt guessed he would have to try his best to beat the guy. Matt felt slightly annoyed but sorry at the same time for this surfer, the guy had only wanted to help after all. Matt thought about the possibilities of battle, if this guy had water Pokémon he was in trouble due to Numel's double weakness. There was hope for fighting Pokémon though, he had learnt about a surfer Gym Leader in Hoenn who used fighting Pokémon. Matt nudged the little camel with his foot, causing it to look up dopily. The camel was basking in the hot sun and soaking up heat from the sand. Matt looked up at the sun, well at least the weather was on his side. Water moves would be half as effective and his fire moves would be twice as effective, meaning that his moves would do normal damage against water Pokémon and water moves would only be twice as effective. Also, Seedots speed would increase due to its Chlorophyll ability, maybe luck would be with them. Matt looked up at the surfer, who was ready to throw his Pokémon into battle, and nodded his head, consenting to the battle. Well, it couldn't be avoided now..... |

And with the nod of his Brother. Robert looked towards the Surfer Guy and stared him in the eyes. Both of them were ready for battle, this could turn out to be a good match for the both of them. Tohea Style. "Alright then, let's get started. You can choose your moves first. Seedot and maybe you too Numel be prepared!" Taking command of the battle, Robert knew Matthew was in charge of his own Pokémon but they both didn't mind helping each other to succeeding. With the sun high in the sky and the tides slightly in their side. This battle could be pretty even... |

The Surfer stared at them both in frustration, his once happy features now in an expression of annoyance. "You li'l kids are really starting to flood me out!" He noticed, vaguely, that the brothers were preparing themselves for a fight. "I don't like multi-tasking!" He groaned as he tossed one of the Pokeballs behind the brothers. Not to be unleashed, but to be caught by a female in an one-piece bathing suit, stretching out her hand with the Pokeball in her grasp. "You're not the only sibling duo around," the girl snorted, tossing her blonde hair behind her with her free hand. "Poliwag, go!" The girl threw her Pokeball into the sand as the Poliwag appeared. The circular formation on its chest began to idly twirl. "Tyrogue, go!" The surfer threw his Pokeball as well. The small, nimble Pokémon took to a fighting stance, ready to pounce, once unleashed. "Helping hand, li'l Pokémon!" The Tyrogue used his hands and began to clap, the Poliwag beginning to have confidence in itself with Tyrogue cheering it on. "Thanks, bro!" The girl smirked. "Poliwag, use Bubble on that Numel!" The Poliwag jumped into the air, blowing several small bubbles from its mouth as they aimed toward the Numel. It was only a matter of time before they would pop against the camel-like Pokémon! Matt silently watched as the female surfer snatched the Pokeball out of the air and released the Poliwag. Matt cringed, this wasn't what he wanted, he'd rather be wandering the forests and plains looking for wild Pokémon than battling these two surfers. It wasn't his fault but he had comitted, what can you do. Matt calmly watched the Poliwag release a stream of bubbles towards Numel, this wasn't a good start. Options raced through Matt's head, he could do a multitude of different things. Whatever he thought of though, those bubbles where getting closer and closer. "Numel, I want you to Yawn it'll give us an advantage and maybe a few turns to take a toll on their Pokémon," Matt said calmly to the little camel who was still ignorant of the bubbles coming towards him, "and when you've done that just throw an Ember at that Tyrogue." Matt watched the little Pokémon get up off the sand and start to open its mouth to yawn, something it did regularly anyway. Matt hoped Rob understood what he was doing. He would have to rely on Rob to take down the Poliwag while he worked at the Tyrogue, and take the Poliwags attacks. He glanced at Rob and hoped that he would do the right thing. If Seedot got in front of those bubbles, they would do hardly any damage. If they hit Numel though, though reduced by the sun, Numel's double weakness would show. All Matt could hope for was that they didn't hit his Pokémon..... |

With a second challenging trainer, this was a full on 2 trainers versus 2 trainers. Robert watched as the two Pokémon appeared, it seemed like one of his thoughts were correct, a water Pokémon appeared, but also, a fighting Pokémon. Seedot looked prepared and looked very quick off the step, infact, the whole day Seedot has been jumpier then usual. Seems the sunny day has taken a good result on his seed-shaped Pokémon. Chlorophyll was in play. Realising that the women had support from the Tyrogue, it was obvious Seedot needed to back up his friend Numel as much as he could. Robert and Seedot turned to see Bubbles floating towards Numel, it was obvious they had to do something, with water in not a very good situation due to the hot day; Robert knew the best course of action would be to do something and fast. Robert listened to his brother give out his orders, Matt then turned to Rob as if hinting him to something, he realised. He had to use Seedot to take out the Poliwag and make this a one vs one battle. Immediately Robert pointed towards the Bubbles as Seedot looked as well, Robert instructed Seedot calmly. "Seedot, get in front of Numel and use Harden! Make sure those bubbles dodge Numel and if they do get close to Numel, take the damage. Then I want you to use Quick Attack on that poliwag and try to make sure it’s in a good position for the Yawn to have an affect. Understood?" Seedot took everything in with confidence, Seedot nodded and roared his name out and began phase 1 of the double battle... |

The Numel opened its large mouth to let out an exhausting yawn, the seemingly tired look traveling to Poliwag after it attacked. The swirling pattern on its stomach slowed down, eyelids becoming heavy, as the Tyrogue quit clapping once the Poliwag unleashed its bubble attack. Just in time, with its enhanced speed, the Seedot jumped in front of the bubbles as its exterior hardened, taking the Bubble attack with ease. "You suck at picking challengers!" The girl argued toward her brother, knowing very well water would never be effective against grass types. "Stop trying to pick on kids that are smaller than you!" "Don't give up yet! They ain't as smart as they look, ya know?" As the Poliwag remained drowsy, it never even had a chance to see the Quick Attack that slammed into his defenseless frame. It was flung backwards, its back skidding against the beach as the ocean's mist trickled against its soft body. As the Numel began to spin, spreading a light fire all around it, the Tyrogue quickly jumped back, not getting anywhere close to the Numel as the surfer grunted. "Tyrogue! Fake out! Now!" Jumping and darting, the Tyrogue nimbly landed in front of Seedot, giving a quick jab to cause the Seedot to flinch. "Tackle it!" Launching itself into the air, the Tyrogue tackled the Seedot, forcing them both to roll onto the sand. The female surfer was already by her Poliwag's side, splashing it with water. "Use Water Sport, Poliwag! Hurry!" Still dazed and a bit exhausted, the Poliwag fell asleep, ignoring her trainer's orders. "This sucks!" She growled. "You Pokémon washed out! Ha!" The surfer continued to battle as he waited for his Tyrogue to regain his balance. Things had turned out pretty well to start off with, an untouched Numel, a heroic Seedot, a retaliating Tyrogue and an injured but asleep Poliwag. It seems now that the Prideaux twin brothers had the upper-hand. Realising that waking up the Poliwag would be silly, Robert turned towards the Tyrogue and so did Seedot instinctively. It was time for Robert and Matthew to take down this fighting Pokémon in an unobvious fashion. Taking into consideration the fire power of ember at this point of time, Robert had an idea. He had to use Seedot's speed to get the upper-hand once more and in doing so combining these advantages together. Robert's imagination sparked into shape and Seedot noticed this reaction and twisted his eyes round quickly. "Seedot, quickly, using your speed Tackle Tyrogue to the ground by using all your force on it's left shin, make sure to then get behind it to then use Quick Attack to bash its Spine flying Tyrogue towards Numel. Ready?" Seedot nodded hastily and took in everything Robert said; he was ready to give Tyrogue a nasty beating. By letting Matthew hear the instructions given, he hoped Matthew realised that he was trying to get the Tyrogue as close to Numel as possible, looking towards Matthew nodding his head hoping he got the jist of it. He then pointed at the fighting Pokémon as Seedot stared at the Pokémon in focus. "Okay, Seedot, NOW!" |

Matt glanced at the Pokémon sprawled across the beach, luckily his Numel had escaped serious damage though the same couldn't be said for the Poliwag. His Yawn had worked and now they had to take down the Tyrogue before Poliwag woke up. Matt surveyed the battle field and what had already passed. His Ember attack hadn't done much, it had just sort of surrounded Vulcan then fizzled out but that sparked an idea into Matt's head. Hearing Rob shout his orders Matt secretly smiled. He didn't like this battling thing but school had taught him well. They were going to triumph, hopefully. "Alright Vulcan hears what I want you to do," Matt said to his Numel, who really hadn't moved in the slightest, "Let's use the weather to our adventage. Your Ember attack won't work at a distance but close up it could do a lot of damage." Matt paused for a moment before continuing. "When Seedot takes Tyrogue down and then knocks the Pokémon towards you, I want you to shroud youself in Ember then Tackle the Tyrogue." Matt considered the outcomes, "Oh, if Seedot fails to knock Tyrogue towards you I just want you to do the same though it will be slightly harder as it won't be dazed. O.K." Matt hoped his Pokémon understood what he wanted him to do, he didn't really know if the Pokémon was concentrating or not. The dopey camel always seemed far out of it and always interested in something else. This usually didn't bother Matt, but he relied on the little camel. Anyway, past experience taught him to trust the camel and everything would be fine. Vulcan stared off into the distance, taking in the surroundings. He didn't much care for what was happening though he always did what his master commanded him to. Vulcan knew many people thought Numel were stupid but he didn't care. He perfectly understood what was asked of him and just vacantly stared off into space until the time was right. He could hear the little feet of Seedot pattering along the sand and knew it would be soon so concentrated on the fire inside of himself...... |

The Tyrogue jumped back on its feet, firmly placing its balance into the sand as it raised its hands in a fighting positions. One versus two. He could do this with no problem. Tie a hand to his back, poke out his left eye, this Tyrogue was going to take out these two Pokémon no matter what they were. "Good attack, Tyrogue!" The surfer cheered after Tyrogue attacked the Seedot. "Keep it going!" The Tyrogue watched the Seedot prepare itself, running across the sand as the bits of beach were flung out behind it. The Tyrogue stood in anticipation, hearing Rob's orders and getting ready to dodge. But the Seedot was too fast for the Tyrogue, the fighting Pokémon's footing too slippery on the sand as the Seedot slammed into its left shin. The Tyrogue's balance faltered on one foot, struggling to keep itself standing straight until another blow plowed into his back. He was sent flailing straight toward the Numel. The Numel once again casted ember, the flames licking out around it as Tyrogue fell straight into the Numel once it attacked. A fiery tackle sent the Tyrogue back into the air, its voice yelling in pain as it landed on the sand and skidded into the Poliwag. Ouch. "You're never allowed to choose competition again!" The girl threw up her hands as she called back her still sleeping Poliwag. "This battle ain't over, sis!" The surfer continued. "Come on! We can be these li'l dudes!" No response. The sister was already walking away. "Alright, fine! Tyrogue, let's finish this!" The Tyrogue struggled onto his feet again. "Tackle that Seedot and throw it into the ocean!" The Tyrogue jumped again, a blur of brown Poke-skin as it tackled the Seedot, but it was far too weak to throw it into the ocean. Instead, it struggled to lift the Seedot up as it stood close the Numel again. "C'mon! Wash 'em out!" Matt surveyed the battle, though before he had felt pity for the male surfer now he felt only contempt. This battle was over, the surfer's sister seemed to know it and Matt know only felt sorrow for the Tyrogue who was forced into battling this hard. Matt knew he would have to finish this, if only to stop the battle, so he looked at the positions of the Pokémon on the field. The Tyrogue was still struggling to lift Rob's Seedot and was oblivious to the fact that it was so close to Numel. Matt decided the only option was to attack it while its back was turned. "Alright Vulcan," Matt called to his little Pokémon, "We can't risk using Ember just in case it spreads to Seedot, so we'll have to stick to physical moves. What I want you to do is to Tackle the Tyrogue from behind, hopefully knocking Seedot clear. When that happens let fly a powerful Ember attack on the Tyrogue. If Seedot doesn't roll clear then just Tackle Tyrogue again." Matt looked down at his Pokémon and knew that no matter how dim witted his Pokémon seemed he had understood. Hopefully they could finish this battle and be on their way, Matt wanted to explore this vast new land and expand his team. He hated the idea of catching Pokémon so always tried to get the Pokémons trust before attempting to get it to join his team. He would never battle and force a Pokémon to join his team, if his Pokémon ever wanted to go he would let it. Vulcan stared across the battlefield and felt sorry for the fighting Pokémon. He knew it wasn't its choice to fight but it was being forced to do so, Vulcan knew deep down that the kind trainer who had saved his life would never do that. He listened intently to the commands and could tell by his trainers tone of voice he didn't like doing this. Vulcan gathered himself and looked to the Tyrogue, pity swamped his mind but he gathered his senses and took a deep breath. Vulcan readied himself to go and concentrated on the inner fire, so he could launch his Ember if Seedot got free, and started to run.... |
