"Ari!" Manuel called out to his Igglybuff who had been rammed into the wall. He hoped she was alright, and when he saw her get up after the impact, he sighed in relief. Ari quickly trotted over to him, and sighed as she looked at the Munchlax with angry eyes. Manuel turned to his partner in this battle and gave him a suggestion, "I think you should have your Budew cover its ears, or command it to fall asleep for this next round. The next song I'm going to have my Igglybuff use effects only Pokémon, and knocks them out soon after." His voice was somewhat angry as he said this, and when he was done he pointed out towards the Munchlax. "Ari! Quickly, use another Defense Curl, and make sure to get as close up to Munchlax as you can. Then, release the second song, try to keep this one hushed, just in case, let's go, PERISH SONG!" Manuel's commands were set as they escaped his lips, and he knew that if this attack were to hit effectively on Munchlax, the battle would belong to him and Velum. "I know you can do it, Ari!" His last words echoed as he watched his Igglybuff go to work. Ari nodded to her commands, and readied her song as she had practiced before. "Iggly..." She said to herself, a sort of reminder that if she failed to perform this song properly.. it could end up just putting everyone to sleep. |

[I looked up on Serebii, and apparently Budew doesn't know Sweet Scent... They might have changed it here on Tohea, but I'm still going to make her able to use Growth, which she gets at level 4.] Velum acknowledged that Manuel was trying to teach his little Igglybuff the whole moveset that a Jigglypuff would need to survive if she wanted to survive through a battle. He knew full and well that the Igglybuff evolution line didn't have many powerful combat attacks, however Wigglytuff did gain a few. They say the time spent largest with your Pokémon is in their main stage, which doesn't count babies. Manuel was going ahead and teaching his Igglybuff moves that Jigglypuff would need, mastering them so he could embrace new techniques when Ari evolved. Velum smiled at him, his shaggy blonde hair waving. Although Manuel didn't know why Velum had smiled, he would tell him soon enough. Velum thought about the choices he had. There were few because of the energy Synthe had used up to perform Leaf Storm. In the back of his mind, Velum knew that having Leaf Storm as a Roselia would be extremely helpful because by then Synthe would be able to call forth energy without getting as tired as she just had. But in the front of his mind, the thoughts passing through him right now, he knew didn't want to wear out his starter Pokémon by spamming out her powerful moves and then just taking her to the Pokémon Center. Trainers who did that were selfish, only wanting to win while making their Pokémon suffer, and thinking it would be all fine just because they would heal them afterwards. Velum, as a thinker, thinks very differently from that. Synthe would only use the simple moves she possessed for the rest of the battle. There were also not many options because apparently Ari was using the move Perish Song, which would make all Pokémon on the field at the time faint. Velum rolled his eyes because this move was, unlike the others great combos Manuel and Ari had coordinated, a bad one. He took Synthe's Pokeball off his neck, and returned her back. She ended her battle with a sweet and grateful smile, and he kissed the Pokeball lightly as he latched it back onto his necklace. She had performed a great move, even though he had thought she might have been able to perform it without getting very weak. "Go ahead." Velum said, giving Manuel a blank look as he sat down in the grass. Eventually he layed flat out, staring at the pleasant sun up ahead. Today was turning out okay, but he stilled needed to get revenge on that man. He desperately wanted to faint that Munchlax... As soon as the song was over, he'd let Synthe come out, and possibly let her use some easy moves to weaken the Munchlax. |

((Be sure to read the Battle Descriptions. :))) The large man eyed the two trainers carefully, his mustache twitching as he was thinking. He didn't know what was going on, except his Munchlax had just collapsed. "Ah ha!" The large man pointed a finger at Velum. "You have forfeited this battle, sir, by withdrawing your Pokémon!" The man managed a smile as he turned toward Manuel. "It is just you and I. Who can last the longest in this duel of indominable wills?!" He let out a harsh laugh as the Munchlax began to stir. The Igglybuff curled within itself, ready to defend itself as it slowly jumped toward the Munchlax. The large trainer had already heard the orders come from Manuel as his look of anger faded. "This battle is won!" The Igglybuff silently reached the Munchlax, and just as carefully, began to sing a song filled with melancholy, twinging a sweet tune within that drew in the Munchlax. Mesmerized, the Munchlax went still as sparks of black lightning began to cackle around it. It'd take three more turns of Igglypuff to complete the song, as long as Munchlax laid infatuated... "Now as we wait," the man spoke, knowing Perish Song only affected other Pokémon, "I think we need to have a small talk, don't you? I demand to know why you stole my wallet and why you wanted my Voltorb!" He lashed out a finger again, pointing accusingly. "With your Budew withdrawn from the battle and your Igglybuff keeping my Munchlax in a certain state, you forgot about a single Pokémon that has been in this field the entire time!" "'Torb!" It floated from its trainer's hands, clearly unaffected by the Perish Song. "Sound Proof! All it'd take is a simple tackle to disrupt your Igglybuff and my Munchlax can use a Metronome to finish it! I'd advise you to answer carefully." Lvl. 9 ![]() 29 / 43 87%Affected by Perish Song - 1st Round Lvl. 2 9 / 29 15%VS Lvl. 5 :Female 29 / 35 71%Using Perish Song - 1st Round Lvl. 5 :FemaleWithdrawn |

[What? o.o Are you talking to me? And there is no "Battle Descriptions". If you mean Attack Descriptions, that makes no sense.] Velum smiled to the man, his eyes narrowed in a feign sweet anger. He knew the man was pestering them, trying to think up ratty little comebacks to distract us and such. Velum knew that Manuel's Igglybuff could win. When the fat man so called "revealed" the Voltorb, basically stating the obvious, Velum flat out started laughing. "I could care less whether by Budew can come back or not. Your Munchlax is as good as dead and your Voltorb too." Velum rolled his eyes at the man's stupidity and stepped forward reaching to his Pokeball. Since he was a fairly new trainer, he wasn't sure if he could bring Synthe back out. If not, then that wasn't fair at all. He stared down with a smirk at the red and white Voltorb which looked too weak to even roll towards Ari. The man expected that weak of a Pokémon to perform a Tackle? "You do know that Igglybuff can attack as she sings you fool?" Velum heard the man contradict him again about stealing his precious Voltorb. "I did not fricking steal it! I was finding it like the notice said in the Pokémon Center! I don't want that stupid worthless crap of an orb!" Velum couldn't care less if that Voltorb attacked him, if so he could manage calling the authorities no matter how rich this man was. Velum stared cautiously over at Manuel. If he couldn't bring Synthe back out, they could be in some amount of trouble. The Munchlax could wake up and attack Igglybuff, but of what he had seen the fluffball do so far, he was sure she could fight it off. [Wait, can I recall Budew? Is that what you meant by Battle Descriptions.. Even though that isn't a thread?] |

Manuel looked on at the fat man, he knew that Perish Song was a rather difficult move to pull off, but if he was correct, his follow up attacks wouldn't disrupt the song. It had been three turns now, therefore Igglybuff's ability hadn't activated in those three turns. 100% was 10 moves or so, therefore is she struck the Pokémon ten times, atleast three of those times would have had to infatuate him, though she hadn't, from what he counted she had stricken four times, therefore taking up 40% if the chances. A 60% chance of cute charm activating was within his reaches now, and from that he knew that Cute Charm itself had a 30% chance of infatuation, therefore if this attack struck, and the odds were on his side, Cute Charm had a 50% chance of working this time around. "Ari, continue your song. Now that we know we have two enemies, this means the battle will only become that much more difficult for us." His words came out like bullets as he now felt horrid for asking his partner to recall his Pokémon before. "Okay, so now. We are going to have to try a new combination, this might even lead to learning a new attack." He said looking off, hoping to properly use the attack. "Now, use Defense Curl to heighten your defenses!" His commands started simply, using an attack that Igglybuff learned naturally anyways, "Then, use Agility to rotate around quickly, but try to stay in one place. Then, when you think you are powerful enough, quickly spin off towards Munchlax, and use his fat to bounce off and strike Voltorb on the reound!" Ari looked at Manuel, her song still in play, and was worried that she wouldn't be able to pull this off. "Iiglyyybuff...." She sang as she stared into her trainer's eyes. Manuel looked back down at her, and in his eyes she could see that all he wanted was for her to become stronger, so that she would never be taken as weak again, by no means did he want her to be mocked any longer. "I know you can do it, Ari. I have faith in you." His words came out in a solid tone as he truly spoke them. Ari looked at her trainer, and could see the message in his eyes, and with his words was only more enthusiastic and determined about this round of battle. With a nod, she jumped into the air, and began her attack sequences. Manuel then looked up with a smile, and frowned when he locked eyes with the other trainer. "If I would've been trying to steal the wallet, I would've stolen it. You retard, after you pushed me off the stupid bus with your fat, it fell out of your pants, I wouldn't know how since I can barely even believe that anything fits between those enormous thighs you have and the fabric of the jeans." He said as he waited for the out come of the round. There was no way he would lose, not now, not after coming so far. |

((That's my fault. Crossed Battle Information and Attack Descriptions. But to quote the passage of Perish Song: "Once the user of Perish Song loses concentration, the move fails." And Shadow, what attack is your Igglybuff trying to learn? Rapid Spin?)) As the Munchlax sat, affected by the Perish Song, pained by the black energy that swarmed around it, the Voltorb eyed the Igglybuff with disgust. The fat man only continued to smirk, listening to the orders Manuel was giving to his Pokémon. This battle had been won--there was no doubt about it. With a glimmer in his eye, watching the Igglybuff curl upon itself, it began to spin with its little arms trying to make itself spin faster and faster like a top with Agility taking into account. She quickly spun toward the Munchlax, ready to hit the perfect spot on Munchlax to rebound onto the Voltorb. That perfect spot required concentration. The song stopped. The black lightning across the Munchlax disappeared as he was stricken. He gave a, "MuuuNCH!" The Igglybuff aimed perfectly as it rebounded like a basketball, slamming into the in-stasis Voltorb as it rolled back harshly, striking against a wall. It rebounded itself and rolled back into the field in front of your Igglybuff. "Munchlax, use Metronome!" The Munchlax's large body began to sway, a single finger on each hand glowing as it channeled its own energy. It opened its mouth up wide and looked into the air as its entire body began to glow. The trainer, surprised, wasn't sure what was going on. The light from the Munchlax began to grow brighter and brighter, stronger by the second. "Is it... evolving?!" The man gasped, not believing his sights, until... KA-BOOM! The Munchlax ended up using Self Destruct. Waves of energy exploded from the light, up turning trashcans and shaking buildings, the wired fences around jiggling and vibrating. The attack slammed into the Voltorb, ricocheting into Igglybuff as every trainer was shoved backwards as the man endured trying to keep his balance. When the light disappeared and the Munchlax lay defeated, the fat man looked at your Igglybuff and quickly recalled both his Pokémon. Your Igglybuff managed to keep alive thanks to its multiple Defense Curls, including the help of the Voltorb taking the brunt of the attack as it rebounded in front of the Igglybuff. "NO!" The man cried, not believing his eyes. "THIEVES! THIEVES!" The man quickly ran off to find a police officer. It seemed he wasn't going to let anybody who called him names get away easily. You can run away as fast as you can, or confront the officer (who could be very easily paid off by the man to arrest you both by the time s/he arrived). Either way, both of your Pokémon definitely needed to be healed. Lvl. 5 :Female 1 / 35 65%VS Lvl. 9 ![]() Defeated Lvl. 2Defeated ((EXP will be given once Loon posts what needs to be posted. :))) |

{{It was Rollout, but I guess Rapid Spin will work too xD}} Manuel had been blinded by the explosion as he too thought the Pokémon was evolving, then thought it might've just been using Flash, but when the light passed, he found himself catching Ari in his arms as Voltorb and Munchlax both lay on the ground in defeat. "Self Destruct?" Manuel said to himself in disbelief as he noticed Ari fall asleep in his arms, obviously to exhausted to stay outside her ball for much longer. "Ari, return." He said as he recalled his little baby, then turned to the man ahead of them and heard him call them thieves as he went to go find an officer. "Dude, I dun think it's a good idea for us to stay here, especially since we're in an alley, and that guys Pokémon are pretty much wasted." He suggested as quickly he looked around to see nothing of much use, so he looked at the other trainer and smirked a bit unsurely as he had no plans anymore. "Any ideas?" |

Velum watched the battle with anxiety continuously messing with his hair and twiddling the strands around his index finger. Finally he was tired of it and reached for Budew's Pokeball around his neck. Just then Igglybuff's horrid song rang out all across the field and caused him to put his hands to his ears. After mere moments the song had ended, and he took his hands off a little confusedly. He watched intently as the he found the pink puff ball now in the center of the field, winding up with a Defense Curl and moving very quickly. She shot off at the Munchlax, hitting him hard and then at the Voltorb, but just then a huge explosion from Munchlax's Metronome sent Velum flying backwards. Right now he wished he weighed a little more. Velum backflipped, landed, and then fell over. He looked up from the ground and shakily arose to see the fat man running off like the little piggy he resembled so much. Velum nodded over to Manuel a bit embarrassed for not being able to help. He had hesitated about bringing Budew back, and he was still wondering if he should have or not. Everything was so confusing now, except that he knew he and Manuel should probably run now, for the officer could come at any moment. He smiled over at him and ran off back down the road with his necklace banging against his chest wildly in his speedy escape. He turned to see if Manuel was following, but couldn't tell. Curse his vision. No matter if he was following or not Velum knew he had to get out this area, maybe not out of Hurst exactly, maybe even the outskirts. And that's exactly what he did. He sped ahead, trying to navigate his way randomly to the outskirts, hoping he could make it would being caught by the dim-wit fat man and his beloved officer. |

As Velum took off running Manuel decided to follow, but he needed to get to a Pokémon center. Igglybuff did a good job but was nearly done for. Manuel took her up and ran off. He caught up with Velum and dragged him in the direction of the Pokémon center. If you guys wanted to last it would be a great idea to have your Pokémon at full health for battling before running off to the next city. The fat man started coming after you, at least you could see him behind you. There was a police officer with him but they bother turned into the alleyway. Maybe they didn't see you guys, but soon you would have to slow down. As you guys rounded a corner the Pokémon center was in sight. Both of you slowed down. A female police officer was standing in front of a corner store as the report came in. They were looking for two thieves that matched your descriptions. She eyes the both of you and smirked, sending in an order you couldn't hear. "Hey, you two! Stop right there! I need to ask you a few questions." The woman pointed to you two and started coming towards you both. Scared and confused you took off. You both ran in the direction of the Pokémon center. As you got to the corner of where the Pokémon center was located, another police officer rounded the corner and stopped at the sight of both of you. "Stop!" You guys turned to run, but found yourself squared off with the female police officer. The officer who was with the man who was accusing you of theft was coming up behind her. There was nowhere for you to go. What would you both do now? |

Manuel looked around, they were surrounded by cops. " " he cursed as he tried to figure a way out of this, the only thing coming to mind was having Ari use sing to knock them out, but she was already pretty weakened, too much so for that to work. He leaned against the wall of a building and sighed, "I dun think we have very many options here Velum." He said closing his eyes as he tried to come up with a plan, something that'd save BOTH their asses from trouble.Suddenly, he had an idea, "Velum, play along." He said as he silently released his Igglybuff in his bag, and he forced tears to come to his eyes, putting on the best crying face he could. Thank you drama class he thought as tears started coming down his face, and as the police officers came towards them, his Igglybuff popped her head out of the bag and knew exactly what was going on as she rolled into Manuel's arms, and acted as though she was horribly ill, about to die even. "Ari, no," Manuel cried as he looked around, hoping that Velum was catching on as he continued to cry. But he took notice of the police coming towards them and he cried even harder. "ARI!" His tears became more ferocious, as he held his Pokémon closer to his body. Ari had been rather good at acting with all the things Manuel did daily, and had her eyes closed as she played along, constantly releasing a very weak "Iggly..." as she continued to use Defense Curl to make her body feel colder and colder, harder and harder. As the police officers drew nearer, Manuel took notice of the fat man with one of them, and before the officers would have a chance to ask, he exclaimed. "WHY! WHY WOULD YOU GO AND USE AN EXPLOSION ATTACK OF THAT CALIBUR ON MY IGGLYBUFF!" He said as tears continued to fall down his cheeks, now onto the floor, atleast now he'd know that Velum would HAVE to catch on, if he hadn't before. He then looked around at the police, and back at the man, "Let me guess, you called the police so that they would think we did something to you! When in truth, you left my igglybuff in a state of near death, and before we could even reach the inside of the Pokémon center, you had them surround us so that she'd die!" he said as he fell onto his knees, a bit overdramatic now as he held his Igglybuff close to him, making sure to keep her face covered as he held her closer to his own face. "Ari, keep on with the defense curls, if the police officers ask to see you, I want you to take a deep breath, and hold it for as long as you can so that they truly think you are near death." Manuel whispered so low, that he knew only Ari would be able to hear him, and he even kept on crying as to make it seem like he was mindlessly blabbering to her, incase anyone did hear him. "It's okay Ari," He said between tears, now speaking between studders aswell as he looked at his partner, "You'll be okay." Velum, if you screw this up I swear I'm going to cut off your family jewels and hang you by your on the highest part of a light post. He thought angrily as he hoped Velum would somehow play along, even though his Budew hadn't taken the damage that Ari had.

The female officer approached you calmly, noticing you weren't running off. However, she did look a bit alarmed when you began to cry, holding your Igglybuff close. She played the act while Velum stood somewhere or another. He wasn't important right now. Right now, you were trying to save your own hide from jail. She looked at the paling Iggkybuff. She couldn't haul your ass in with a supposedly dying Igglybuff. If it died, it would be on her department's head. So, she did the one thing she could do. The officer took you by the arm, hauling you into the Pokémon Center. While she could detain you for a search, she couldn't do anything with the Igglybuff. An assistant immediately came up, taking down your information and gently taking Ari with him. The Igglybuff, still playing the part, let out a weak sigh, her eyes fluttering open. Seeing you still acting, she whimpered and closed her eyes again. As limp as she was, the assistant seemed to be having a time trying to carry her. Upon being rid of that burden, she dragged you to a wall, telling you to assume the position. She frisked you, going through your pockets and bag. Since you didn't have anything to hide, there was no reason to fight this. She did a very thorough job for the first time. Then the second time came and you assumed it was just to be sure. The third time however, now that was a bit too much. Standing back finally, she looked you up and down and pulled a pencil and pad from her pocket. "The man outside claimed you stole his wallet. Since I didn't find it, you're free to go after a few routine questions." Well, this shouldn't be too hard. Your name and age weren't too hard. She then turned the heat on a bit with her next ones as the assistant brought Ari back, right as rain. "Did you have his wallet at some time? If so, where is it now?" |

Manuel didn't feel at all odd at the beginning of his act. Though, when the police officer came and took his witth Igglybuff he had to close his eyes and "attempt" to hault himself from crying as he himself prayed. Please, Ari. Keep it up. He thought as he took a large gulp and looked up at the female officer before him. "Position?" He said between breaths as he wondered what she meant, and then he started thinking of old cop shows and soon he twitched. "You want me to..." He said, before he turned around, putting his hands on the wall as he leaned against it and sourly "assumed the position." Suddenly, he felt a pair of hands against his body, all over, pockets, etc. Oh, this was odd. But soon enough, he got use to it and soon began thinking of other things, such as what attacks he would teach Ari later on, given the chance of course. Soon, the first round of frisking was completed, and he released a sigh of relief, but then found himself being frisked yet again, this officers hands going everywhere this time, though he assumed it was just to make sure that he really didn't have the wallet. The second time was done, and he assumed that the woman had compeleted her work, but yet again he was stunned by the fact that he was yet AGAIN being frisked. Okay, I understand wanting to be sure, but this is just... He thought, and sighed as the woman took her hands off of him, and finally he was able to turn around. Now, he heard her say that there were a few questions he had to answer, so with a nod he began answering them. First came his name and age, and things as simple as that, but soon enough came questions a bit more complicated, such as...
Dangit, what do I say to this. Manuel thought to himself as he quickly pondered it, wanting to give off as quick a reply as possible so that he didn't seem to be coming up with a story. If I say I had it... and then gave it back, that could completely be turned back unto me... but if I say that I didn't have it... I have to make up a reason for the battle. His thoughts were cluttered, but he soon came up with his answert. "Yes, I did have the wallet for a while." He said, hoping that this wouldn't turn on him. "But, I had found it only a few minutes after I happened to actually set foot in this city. See, I was getting off the bus, and this man pushed me off. Though, I suppose that when he got off, his wallet must've fallen. So, being the guy I am, I picked up the wallet, looked at the license, and decided to go look for the man. Soon enough, I did find this man, and gave him his wallet, but then he challenged us to a Pokémon battle and... well..." He said, tears coming to his eyes yet again as he tried to hold the mback. He stopped his story there, and moved onto a softer topic. "He has the wallet with him now, can I please go get my Igglybuff now? I mean, if she truly might die... I want to be by her side... atleast." He said as he turned around and covered his eyes with his sleeve, then smirked as he thought. I wonder if this lady bought it. |

(Someone's driving a tough, yet interesting bargain.... ;)) The woman listened to your story, rubbing her chin in thought as you "explained" yourself. She seemed to be deep in thought, as though she was trying to piece two and two together. Probably the stories of both you and the man, no doubt. Finally, after your little "performance" had ended, she waited a moment before answering. "The story that the man gave me was that you stole his wallet, and then you confronted him, wanting his Voltorb. I'm sorry, but I'm not sure who to believe..." It was obvious that she was probably leaning towards the adult's story, and for all you knew, she was a veteran on Hurst's Police Force. "Well, I'll let you get back to your ailing Igglybuff," she finally said, after thinking some more. "You're off the hook, but I'll keep an eye out for you." Obviously, this meant that she didn't believe your story completely. She mumbled something into her call radio/walkie talkie to someone, and then she and her cop buddies left. Whew, that was over, and for the most part, your little charade had saved your skin. Now...What had happened to Velum? Perhaps he wasn't of your business at the moment... |

{It's an Igglybuff xD not a Happiny xDD} Manuel smiled and gave a slight, gratious, bow to the woman. "Thank you," He said as she allowed him to go see his Igglybuff. Turning away he started running towards the Pokémon center until he heard the officer say that she'd keep an eye on him, then mumble into her talkie. Whatever, doesn't matter to me. He thought to himself as he ran into the Pokémon center to retrieve his Pokémon. Walking into the Pokémon center, Manuel looked about for his Igglybuff, wondering where it might be. He walked up to the counter and asked the nurse, "One of the officers came in here with my Igglybuff..." -He started calling up fake tears again- "might you know where she is?" He looked around, trying to see if there might be anyone observing him at the moment. I wonder... I wonder if I can go find an abra anywhere around here, or maybe... I unno... a Pichu." He thought to himself, before snapping his fingers, looking down at his waste where he noticed his old out-dated pokedex. I wonder if I can get a Poketech here... |

(Sorry.
-_- Got you mixed up with another ref...) The nurse (A Nurse Joy, to be exact) looked at you with confusion, probably wondering why you were boo-hooing in front of her. "She's in the back room. The officer brought her in, and your Igglybuff was immediately lain on a stretcher. However, I was just in to see her, and she's acting fine. I don't know if she may have fainted, or what. She does seem a little dizzy." As if on cue, a Blissey walked out of the OR, pushing a stretcher with Ari sitting on it contentedly, pigging out on Pecha berries. Perhaps she had stopped acting since there weren't any cops around, and since she couldn't get a bad diagnosis in a Pokémon Center, she probably decided to pretend that she had passed out. The Blissey gave Ari back to you with a contented squeak, and Ari offered you a berry with an innocent smile on her face. However, you could see the mischief dancing in her eyes at what she had just done. Such an evil soul, under a blanket of innocence.... Well, you had your Igglybuff back, and as she offered you a berry, a poster caught your eye: POKETECH! Tired of the same ol' Pokedex? Get yourself the latest in trainer technology at a Pokémart near you!
