"I do not think there is any thrill that can go through the human heart like that felt by the inventor as he sees some creation of the brain unfolding to success... such emotions make a man forget food, sleep, friends, love, everything." - Nikola Tesla

Trainer Name: Drakos Vyrnstrum Trainer Gender: Male Trainer Age: Twenty Trainer Weight: One hundred and eighty four pounds. Trainer Biography: Drakos has no recollection of who his parents are or what they looked like. He doesn't particularly care, but he knows that when a child is born, they are usually brought up by a mother and a father in a loving home for many years. He had none of this. He was born, he was dumped into a basket, and he was delivered to the Children's Orphanage of Goldenrod City. In vastly populated cities like Goldenrod, unwanted babies and children were delivered to orphanages almost daily. For that staff that worked there, watching over these breathing mistakes were more of a chore than a privilege. It was also common for children in an overly populated orphanage to lack the proper attention and love they needed to become adequate social beings. This was the case for Drakos. The headmaster of the orphanage could hardly tell you how many kids he had in his building, let alone what all of their names were or how old they were. Drakos mostly kept to himself, watching the night sky through a dirty window or watching the Rattata of the facility battle each other over small crumbs of food. He didn't particularly bring attention to himself. Everyone notices the weird kid who sits in the corner all day and watches wild Pokémon battle and then goes to his room and night to stare at the stars, but no one really talks to him. Much less ask to adopt him. He was a dreamer, a wisher, one of the few who denied his reality and waited for his true purpose in life to come around. This orphanage and it's inhabitants were meaningless to him. He wanted out. He wanted to live freely and get the respect he deserved as a fellow human being. He needed the power to fight for his wants. Just like the Rattata needed the power to fight for the food they needed to survive. And then, as soon as Drakos pieced this puzzle together and knew that he was destined to live his life seeking out the means to bring out his unlimited potential, he came. Quill Vyrnstrum. Pokémon League Champion of the Kanto Region and famous Normal-type Pokémon Trainer. Aware of his time was coming, Quill was gathering talented children from around the world in order to teach them how to become Pokémon Trainers. Drakos was unaware what about him grabbed Quill's attention. His brilliant orange eyes, his confident and silent air, or maybe even his interest in the wild Pokémon that lived in the building? Whatever it was, Quill adopted Drakos and two other orphans before returning to his private island off the coast of the Kanto Region. Within the Vyrnstrum family, Quill Vyrnstrum was referred to as Father Quill. Never father, daddy, dad, or poppa. He felt it necessary for his student to know that though he had indeed adopted them or saved them from certain situations, he wasn't related to them in such a relationship. He held no biological significance to any of them. Instead, he could be seen as more of a savior to them. A leader in their lives made to bring out their utmost potential and guide them along their proper pathways. Almost like a priest to a dedicated cult or religion. Thus, he told them to call him Father Quill. It held it's authority and it represented the influence he held over them. Drakos had no idea that the man who had saved him from one prison had done so just to place him into another. Despite the fame that Father Quill carried from his old days as a Pokémon Trainer, he was a cruel and ruthless man. He trained his children harshly and pushed their bodies to the breaking point. Drakos slowly learned that Father Quill held as much love for him and the others as the staff members at the orphanage did; scarce to none. He simply wanted to continue his legacy and have the glory he brought to the Vyrnstrum name carry throughout history well after his death. Drakos didn't like the idea of being a puppet in someone else's grand scheme. He was his own individual and wouldn't be used like a pawn in a giant game of Chess. From the moment this became obvious to Drakos, he determined that he would milk Father Quill of all of his knowledge before tearing his kingdom down from the inside. His goal wasn't to free the other children from Father Quill's grip nor to escape the family himself. No, he simply wanted to best the old man and establish his position as the strongest of the Vyrnstrum lineage. As the years progressed, Drakos grew exceptionally powerful in commanding Pokémon and exploiting advantages and weaknesses on the field of battle. He wasn't exactly tactical or stragetic about his approach, but his overwhelming brute strength and endless talent seemed to be just as effective. Father Quill watched his staggering progress with slight interest. He, along with four other prodigies of the Vyrnstrum surname had really caught Father Quill's attention. Deciding to establish their leadership over the other members of his small legion, Father Quill established The Order Of Five. Drakos and the others were handed this honorary title along with numbers that presented their order from strongest to weakest. Though Drakos was indeed powerful, his rash actions and lack of logical thinking put him as the fifth strongest member. This was the opportunity that Drakos had been waiting for. He was closer to Father Quill now than he had ever been before. He decided to bide his time and wait for Father Quill to expose an opening in which Drakos would attack. Once he took down Father Quill, Drakos would become unquestionably the strongest member of the Vyrnstrum family. Those above him in the order, however, were extremely loyal to Father Quill. He'd have to effectively fight through them all just to get to him. Though he hated to admit it, Drakos knew he wouldn't be able to do this alone. Using some of Father Quill's own finances and resources, Drakos enlisted the aid of Team Rocket to try and bring Father Quill to his knees. However, Father Quill knows all the happenings within The Vyrnstrum Isles. Drakos's act of treachery was quickly unveiled and he was labeled a heretic of the family. The Order Of Five quickly wiped out the small army of Kanto-branch Rockets that actually came to Drakos's aid and turned their attention to Drakos. Father Quill revealed that he knew Drakos's intentions all along, and had simply performed each of his actions to effectively bring Drakos into the open. He was stripped of his title from The Order Of Five and branded an enemy of the family. Father Quill had taught his children well. Any enemy of the family was to be removed as quickly as possible. Seeing that he couldn't stand up to Father Quill now, Drakos fled from the Isles. The Order Of Five made to give chase, but Father Quill stopped them. He said it was much more important to find Drakos's replacement before disposing of their little problem. Meanwhile, Drakos had used what little money he had earned under Father Quill to book a flight to the Tohea Region. It would be his new home. His old Pokémon had been confiscated by the family and he had no other place to live with his only guardian now putting out orders to have him killed. Drakos liked it this way, though. He had finally obtained the freedom he had desired all those years ago in the orphanage. With his chains broken and his enemies obvious, Drakos swore to train a new team of Pokémon and crush Father Quill's empire with his own power. He would hold the title of the strongest Vyrnstrum, especially since he'd have to take Father Quill's head in order to obtain it. Trainer Appearance: Drakos stands at five feet over ten inches and has a slim, athletic build. His skin tone is healthy and tanned, seeing as he's traveled for quite some time. He has long, black hair that is pulled back into a thick, lush ponytail save for one large bang that hangs over his oddly cut hairline. His eyes remind most of two burning embers trapped inside crystal orbs, reflecting the sharpest color of orange. On his left shoulder is a tattoo of the number five, representing his position of power in the Vyrnstrum family. For apparel, Drakos wears a collared vest without any sleeves and that's kept open at all times. It's a creamy white on the outside and black on the inside and lining the holes where the arms come through. On the back of his vest is an enlarged image of an altered Fleur De Lis, a marking he uses as a sort of insignia. His pants are baggy with large pockets and reflect the same white complexion as his vest. It's held to his waist by a large, black sash that matches the inside of his vest and the black sandals that secure his feet. They have a thicker sole than normal sandals and cover his entire foot, but are still considered sandals due to the material and the openings near the edges to allow the foot to 'breath' per say. He keeps his PokéBalls in his pocket and carries his more important belongings in a large, black bag made for traveling. He's only seen carrying this between towns, but it's still a part of his image. Starter Town: Kadaraa Starter Pokémon: Male Ekans[Miasma] Requested Egg Move: Poison Fang - Drakos, being from the Vyrnstrum family, didn't train ordinary Pokémon. Miasma was bred from a Seviper and an Arbok, two of the deadliest Poison-type Pokémon to be discovered. Miasma received the recessive genes from the Seviper, allowing it's body to route the dangerous venom that it housed directly to it's developing fangs at a very early age. At first, it simply made Poison Sting much easier to train, but as time progressed, Drakos noticed that Miasma had trouble suppressing the urge to bite. Wondering what would result from this, Drakos gave Miasma a small object to bite. It's target realized, Miasma reared back and struck with lightning speed before slithering away. What Drakos saw was surprising. The puncture holes were being eaten away at by a corrosive poison that Miasma was storing deep in it's glands. Seeing the power of such a bite, Drakos trained with Aconite until it could effectively produce it's poison with every bite. Over the months, the corrosion caused by the stored poison happened much quicker and the poison in question was injected in larger quantity. After several trials using live Pokémon, Aconite could poison a Pokémon along the same lines as if it used a Toxic attack. Satisfied with the results, Aconite was deemed the first Ekans within the Vyrnstrum family to learn Poison Fang. When Drakos's true intentions were discovered, Aconite was the only reliable Pokémon Drakos could manage to bring with him as he fled from The Vyrnstrum Isles. Sample RP: This was it. Freedom. Well, not technically. He was on the run from his own family, who were probably chasing him down at this very moment with every intention of ending his life at the first glimpse of each others' eyes. Still, he didn't feel fear. He felt exhilaration. It was a stimulating sensation knowing that you were being hunted. Perhaps he was just a bit...demented in the head. Whatever the case, he was on his way to starting his own life. That was an achievement in himself. No more Father Quill, no more being part of The Order Of Five, no more Vyrnstrum family. For all intents and purposes, they could burn in hell. He had used them for everything he needed and effectively dropped them off like useless baggage. Of course, he hadn't finished the job. He couldn't, really. The Order was much too powerful for him to deal with at the moment. They held talents and abilities that were beyond the scope of any ordinary Pokémon Trainer. Then again, if you spawned from the Vyrnstrum family, that in itself was beyond the scope of a normal Trainer. He would need to train himself and his new Pokémon to new limits. He had to gain more power. As sad as it was to admit, he'd also need the assistance of a few allies. And by allies, he meant pawns. He might not like being used, but he had no qualms against using others. As a matter of fact, leeching off the skills of others was his forte. So much planning, so little time. It wouldn't be long before The Order came upon him. He could only hope he had a Pokémon before then. The plane dipped low and headed towards the runway connected to the Kadaraa Airport. He had arrived. He had spent so much of his time on the flight sleeping and thinking of his future plans that he had lost track of time. But that didn't matter anymore, seeing as his destination was achieved. The wheels of the airplane skidded roughly against the pavement of the road before the vehicle rushed towards the docking lane. He could feel the rumbling of the entire model as the pilots fanned out the wings to slow down the plane. Eventually, it came to a slowed roll and finally stopped. The lane jutted out and connected to the exit of the plane before the seatbelt signs above the seats dimmed, signaling the okay to leave their hardly comfortable chairs. He could finally stand up and stretch. "Well damn if that wasn't a cramped seat." Drakos complained through a rather loud yawn of his before stretching. Several satisfying popping sounds chimed from his body as he twisted and turned his skeletal frame this way and that. He fixed his ponytail by pulling all of his hair back tightly and retying it before stepping into the aisle and walking off of the plane. Entering the airport, Drakos looked around for the exit. Fortunately and unfortunately, he didn't have any baggage to pick up from Baggage Claim seeing as Father Quill still had his wrinkling old hands on his belongings, so there was no need to stay in the facility. Following the glowing signs until the automatic doors that lead to the outside were before him, Drakos exited the facility to take his first steps in Kadaraa. |

Great Job! Your profile has been approved. This means you don't need to make any further changes, and what you've done is acceptable for use in Tohea. Before you can FULLY begin your journey, however, you need to answer these four questions. If you get them all correct, you will be admitted into the RPG. Otherwise, you will be asked another four questions. Be sure to read the rules to find the answers, as you should have done already. [X] What rule allows any Pokémon to use Agility? [X] Can a Pokémon learn a move before it has reached the appropriate level, without the use of TMs? If so, how? [X] Is it permitted to advertise in the CBox? [X] Are Pokémon abilities (Eg Swarm and Pressure) taken into consideration in Tohea? Thank you, Tohea RPG Staff This is an automated message (1) |

[X] - Under Battling Information, there's a topic labeled "Global Attack List". Agility is one of the numerous techniques all Pokémon can use, though if it isn't a natural move that the Pokémon can learn, it will be slightly weaker. [X] - Yes, through training. The more detailed and effective your post is when training a Pokémon to learn a move, the more believable it will be. The further away the move is from your Pokémon's current level, though, the more difficult it will be to teach. [X] - No. Under no circumstance are we allowed to advertise in the Cbox. [X] - Yes, they would work in a more realistic fashion here at Tohea.(eg. Drizzle would cause a light downpour while Anticipation would cause your Pokémon to let you know it's opponent has a move in it's arsenal that's Super Effective to yours.) |
