"I do not think there is any thrill that can go through the human heart like that felt by the inventor as he sees some creation of the brain unfolding to success... such emotions make a man forget food, sleep, friends, love, everything." - Nikola Tesla
Tohea is in archive mode, but the legend lives on. |

Ayer's reef stretches along the shoreline, just underneath the water in some places and nearly nonexistent elsewhere. Shoals and schools of fish and other aquatic Pokémon swim hastily along through the coral and Corsola, trying to find food without becoming it themselves. Watch out for the sharp coral! Make sure to check out the sunken ship - an old wooden ferry that discovered the reef the hard way. There are rumours of archaic treasures hidden inside, guarded by strong and territorial Pokémon. Are you brave enough to find out? The sandy ocean bottom is still fairly shallow here, only about 20 feet deep that the most, while a bit further out it drops suddenly off of the small continental shelf that surrounds and supports the island. |

Off the continental shelf that supports Tohea, the seafloor slopes steeply down to the ocean floor itself, the water becoming cloudy and dark as you get further from the sunny surface. Mysterious shadows move in the darker waters - could it be a Sharpedo or a Wailord? You never know, down here. A few pieces of debris line the coastal wall, what look like bones or maybe bits of wood and coral. Everything else is gnawed clean down here - food is scarce, so watch out or you might be next! |

Hokay, so. With the introduction of the Ayer Diving hut, a new section of lists has replaced the old "sea common/rare" list. Because of the nature of the seas, not all Pokémon that are in the sea will show up just off of the beaches of the town and the island. The new lists are as follows: Shallow - anyone swimming just off the shore, and anyone who is on the beach who encounters a Pokémon. Water under 15 ft deep. Reef - anyone more than 50 feet from the shore, water deeper than 15 feet, water around the new Ayer reef. This is -all- submerged. Anyone at the surface of the water will fall under the 'shallow' list - including Wingull. This applies only to people who are diving. Depths - this also applies only to people diving. This is anyone who is in deep water, more than 30 feet deep or more. Basically, anything beyond the reef all the way to the sea floor. This is intended to be dangerous water. People should run into vicious Sharpedo, hungry Octillery, etc. The minimum level for wild Pokémon here is 25. Does anyone need clarification on any of these, or do they speak for themselves? Post to note that you've read and understand the distinctions, please, or if I need to word anything better. |

Perfectly understandable, to me at least. Good addition to Ayer. |

The Tohean Power Plant sits just ouside the southern border of the town, and is responsible for powering most of Tohea. It is a futuristic building - chic and sterile with stainless-steel walls and white panelled interiors. Clean white rooms hold special boxes full of Electrode which generate electricity for the cities of the island, each one producing several thousand watts a day. There are rooms and rooms of them - each set of six with their own trainer, in case of emergency so they may be withdrawn. Outside the power plant, many otherwise rare Pokémon seem to have a habit of loitering in the bushes, just waiting to be shooed away by a pest control agent or caught by an asipring electric-type trainer. Because of the electrical nature of the plant, and it's immediate area, pests that feed off of this energy can get stronger, quicker. It is for this reason that you must pass through guarded gates and present the Ayer Badge when asked to. |

Near the Tohean Power Plant, the Kadaraa dump and waste management facility is situated (downwind) of the city, with quite a few fans pointed away from the populace. A few chain link fences surround the facility - mainly to keep wild Pokémon from raiding the garbage - but they hardly succeed. Many of the fences are down altogether or twisted out of place, and many torn trash bags and Pokémon droppings alude to the fact that they're here somewhere. Its proximity to the Power Plant leads it to be filled with several different electric type Pokémon, along with the usual scavengers and looters. Because of the environment of the dump, poison pokémon tend to get very strong very quickly. It is because of this that there is a gate you must enter through to get to the dump - you must present the Riverwood Badge to be allowed through. Trainers who not yet acquired the badge cannot enter. |

Anyone in Ayer or Kadaraa might notice some new additions: a Diving hut complete with a detailed reef and open water for discovering underwater treasures and Pokémon; a Power Plant in Kadaraa that attracts all manner of electric-type pests; and a dump in Kadaraa with more pests of all types, right next to the power plant. There are some rare Pokémon out there and some great adventures to be had - I expect to see well over 9000 people rushing to check out the new sites! Have fun! |

Yay new places! I especially like the reef, since it has a sunken ship and whatnot... That'd be really cool to explore. |

Yes indeed - this also means your fishy Pokémon are no longer worthless! With a breather from the Diving Hut, you can swim with your fish to your heart's delight. Just rent a locker to store the rest of your stuff and go for a dip! A few more updates might be coming this week as well concerning fish Pokémon - just wait and see! |

Question about Lapras. Couldn't they appear on the surface of the water, too? Obviously not at the shore of the beach, but from 50 feet back. Also, in reference to certain pokémon on the sea list. The only one I really noticed was Goldeen, but some of them struck me as freshwater fish, rather than saltwater fish. I know Goldeen evolves into Seaking, but I've always thought of them as freshwater... Ignore this if I'm wrong
:P Otherwise, I understand perfectly well. |

Good points. Perhaps "deep water" mentions Pokémon traveling ABOVE deep water...*shrugs* Just a suggestion. You also make sense, Matt...goldfish are generally freshwater. I don't think there is a goldfish that's saltwater. Again, correct me if I'm wrong...I'll look that up on Wikipedia now, actually. |
