Chapter One: The Absolute Beginning I gradually began to open my heavy, tan eyelids for the first time in God knows how long. My usually perfect vision was terribly blurry, and my train of thought was a complete mess. I failed miserably at trying to recollect my memory and find out why the hell I was in this situation. My sight began to clear up and was now able to process sharp, detailed images easily and without problems. I took in a giant breath of air, which felt unusually weird. It tasted funny and smelled worse… It seemed “heavier”, if possible, and crowded. My body, violently shaking ever since I was able to open my eyes, grew calmer and less tense. I tried to get up slowly, and cautiously, due to the fact that the room I was in was pitch black. Halfway up, though, I was stopped by some force pulling on each of my wrists and ankles, and shortly following the tug came a sound I really didn’t want to here… The eerie rattling of chains. I was captured, caught, kept within these walls against my own will. I didn’t like the feeling of being secluded. Being kept from the outside and only left to suffer here until I died of starvation, thirst… Or worse, dying due to the loss of my mental sanity. I needed to get out… Fast. I couldn’t be kept in here much longer. Adrenaline was quickly pumped throughout my aching, large body at unimaginable speeds, helping my senses better themselves, fueling them to serve me in any way I wished. I felt like a freak of sorts with super human possibilities and all I had to do was harness my newfound powers. My rather small head quickly forced itself to the upright corner of the small dark room, and slowly rotated from corner to corner desperately trying to unravel an exit of sorts. My attempts to locate an exit failed and I was forced to shake and try to somehow get loose. The rusty chains, combined with my violent movement created a large amount of ruckus. My two lungs were about ready to explode from the amount of air I was inhaling. “Damn it!” I shouted to no one in particular. My many struggles, my numerous attempts, they were hopelessly useless. All I could do was sit here, and wait for something or someone to come in. Hold on one second here… If only… I thought to myself. I regained a sense of hope in myself as I took my right hand and began to feel on my jet black belt. The slack, the left over chain was now fully extended, rendering my right arm useless beyond this point. I extended my thick fingers just a bit, A little further… I thought to myself, carefully trying to reach the opposite side of my belt. There! It was there; my index finger finally ran over the cold, reassuring surface that was my Pokeball. It contained one of my two companions, Kadabra. I’ve had him for a while now, months actually. I found this gold mine in one of the many alleyways of Ayer, the quaint town at the southern most part of Tohea. I quickly slipped the miniature ball out of its round socket and clenched it in my palm. Feeling for the smooth button that would expand it, my entire mind clouded with the thought that I would finally get out of here. The pokeball, now fully expanded, was in my hands, ready for takeoff. Due to the four, rather short chains I couldn’t possibly throw it so I “fed” it to my mouth, that was widened, and then held onto it as tightly as possible. Another breath was inhaled before I chucked the ball into a random location by thrusting my head furiously. I heard several sounds of collision between medal and concrete before the Pokeball discharged a flash of white light, illuminating the room for a split second as well as revealing my own Psy Pokémon, Kadabra. It’s magnificence and psychic presence still to this very day gives me pleasurable goose bumps around my body. The flash of bright light had allowed my two eyes to take in the horrific view of the room. There were countless death traps layed throughout the room. A large, medal door lay in front of me, about 5 or 10 feet away. There were no windows at all making it clear to me that I was underground. The concrete walls were moistened by what seemed to be water, although I wasn't entirely sure. The Kadabra quickly spun around, obviously taking in his surroundings. With one look at me he sighed and began invading my privacy. “What in the bloody hell did you get yourself into now? I mean, what kind of sick, twisted, Psychopath locks people up in this… This… Torture room! So, I’m taking a blind guess here… You want me to teleport us the hell out of here? Yes, don’t argue with me, I can see it clearly. I’m Psychic you fool.” Before I was able to talk back to him, he abruptly ended the psychic mind connection. He closed his brown eyes, focusing his current energy into teleporting both himself and I into the open, successfully. Then, without any prior warning for what was about to happen, I found myself being materialized in front of Kadabra. “If my power’s serve me right… We should be in the middle of Riverwood City. Now, please… Do me the favor of returning me inside my Pokeball. I was in the middle of my nap until you—“ It felt nice to disrupt his connection for once, with the use of a handy tool we call, the Pokeball. |

Chapter Two: To Kadaraa! Now, with everyone gazing at me due to my rather outlandish arrival to the city, I began to calmly make my way out of town. The light rain cascading down onto the Earth, along with the active breeze, caused a bleak temperature. The storm clouds up above moved gracefully across the heavens, delivering their life supporting rain to the rest of the continent of Tohea. I sighed and desperately tried to remember, at least, the smallest bit of detail to my past in hope that it would help solve the mystery of the room that I was held in. Whoever it was, or whatever it was, was to be found and confronted by me. I wanted answers, and I wanted them damn fast. I then halted myself from any further movement. I stood wide-eyed and still for at least another minute scolding myself in my mind for what I haven’t already done. Moving my arm to my belt once again I released the Pokeball that contained Kadabra. I pressed the button in the center of the sphere twice, swiftly and continuously. Out popped Kadabra about five feet away from where I was standing. “Kadabra… I’ll need you to look deep into my mind, and I mean deep, to see what has happened to me and caused me to be held captive in that room! Look for the culprit, the person or thing that captured me. I want to know who it was!” I explained the situation to Kadabra. He knew what he had to do but could he live up to my command? I wouldn’t know if he could recall my own memories without me even remembering them. It was worth a try… He belonged to one of the best Psychic families on the planet. The Pokémon before me nodded and then closed its eyes. He rose his right arm slightly and opened his hands. The metallic spoon that he had held his entire life was now floating in front of his hand and was also at the mercy of his doing. It seemed as if he were trying to channel most of his Psychic energy into one task, telling me that what I commanded of him was not going to be easy. I suddenly felt a sensational surge of power enter my body, invading every bit of it. It felt extremely uncomfortable and was exerting a massive amount of stress on me, both physically and mentally. About a century and a half later, Kadabra finally took grip of his spoon and opened his eyes. A deep breath, and an exhausted expression later, he had begun explaining what happened through yet another mind link. “Sorsha Medevil. That is her name. She plotted the capture but she didn’t carry it out, someone closely affiliated to her did… Yes. Yes she is the Kadaraa gym leader. She possesses two Pokémon of level 25 each. I can’t really find the reason for her doings but I think your past mentioned something about a test… If you want any further answers then I advice you head out to Kadaraa and find the gym.” Kadabra ended the mental communication with a snap. I was seriously and utterly confused. What would she want with me…? Was she testing me? I had no idea, but I wouldn’t just leave it be. Somehow I think she knew that I would hunt her down… Yet, I will, even though I might be walking obliviously into a set trap. My Pokémon would do me good… Even if she wanted a battle I would be able to easily defeat her. Haunter, Kadabra… A dream team of sorts, that would escalate into a powerful duo. It was my time and nothing would stop me. I would find her, get my answers, and hopefully pay her back for what she put me through. I smiled at Kadabra, “You’ve done me a great deal of favors… I thank you for that.” I then recalled Kadbra and bestowed the container into my belt. With another deep breath I took off to the nearest path that led to Kadaraa. Kadabra was too worn to teleport both of us to another city and I couldn’t possibly ask him for yet another favor. He was exhausted, over worked… Drained. I’d have to rely on myself and Haunter for the travel to Kadaraa. Hopefully I would then be able to locate the Pokecenter there and prepare for my confrontation with Sorsha. |

[ Chapter Three: Deadly Encounter Me, Kadabra, and Haunter departed from the great city of Riverwood. Many buildings, lights and people were suddenly replaced with calm, quaint, nature and wildlife. The afternoon daylight quickly withdrew from the skies of Tohea, leaving the nightshade to conquer the continent. The rain from before had stopped long before and the gray storm clouds were absent. The only thing above my head was a clear sky with a bright moon and stars as company. The perfect layout for dark Pokémon to begin their search for food, shelter, and territory. This fact proved deadly for me. Haunter, being the Ghost Pokémon he is, and Kadabra, now totally exhausted from the previous feat he accomplished, was no match for highly leveled Pokémon of the dark. Keeping a hand on Haunter’s Pokeball, and a clear lookout for anything unusual, I progressed through the third route of Tohea, on my way to Kadaraa. Several sounds and noises were heard, mainly those of birds and crickets chirp, through the scattered trees and bushes to the side of the dirt road. The moon, showering down on the land with its illuminating rays of light, gradually made it’s way across the sky… Slowly. The angle of the Moon’s sudden location against that of one of the bushes triggered a bright, golden yellow light to activate. It was an Umbreon, busted and revealed of its hiding place. Its four paws came closer as it fixed its eyes onto me. Any sudden movements and it would pounce. My fingers made their way down to the button that would soon release Haunter from it’s captivating home. An unsuspecting CLICK! Was heard as a bright flash of light came from my waist. Haunter was successfully called out into battle. “Haun… Ter!” It cried out as it patiently floated in the air. The umbreon, seemingly stalking the Ghost, circled around Haunter and me. Just my luck… I’d have to try my best to get this Umbreon out of my hair, and fast. “Haunter… Listen to me carefully.” I started. I knew that an offensive approach would just provoke the Umbreon and force him to attack. “Focus all your energy into defending yourself by dodging as much as possible. If the Umbreon tries to attack, and your dodge fails, try desperately to counter it with Hypnosis.” I finished my commands to Haunter and anticipated the outcome. The umbreon struck first, using it’s lethal Pursuit Attack. It dove into the shadows cast by the many trees and leaped out behind Haunter. “Umbreon!” It cried out before it collided with Haunter. That same cry helped Haunter to realize the fact that Umbreon was behind him. He moved to the left with great speed, watching as the shade Pokémon flew past him. Umbreon skidded as he landed on the ground. Quickly turning around, it began pursuing Haunter, again. Knowing that he couldn’t dodge it, or stop it he needed to find a way to stop Umbreon… Hypnosis was his only option. As Umbreon charged for Haunter, he began to chant something completely creepy, in a different language. It was a deep, cold, emotionless voice that was being expelled from Haunter’s mouth. The Umbreon slowed down, the came to a stop as it was just about to leap. Hypnosis had taken full effect. “Perfect. Great job Haunter. No need to continuously attack the Umbreon… Let us keep moving along.” I stated, already on my way out from the scene. Haunter, behind me at the time, began to follow me by floating through the air. With the exception of the occasional evil laughter and scary or funny faces he made due to his silly nature everything was going smoothly… Until now. About three or four growling noises were heard from behind us. I turned around, praying to God that it wasn’t at all anything to be afraid of, so much for that… Two fierce Houndoom and a Houndour were staring us down. It seemed as if we trespassed onto their territory. We couldn’t possibly take all three of them on so I shouted the only thing I could… “Run!” I said to Haunter and myself. I began sprinting through the woods, weaving and maneuvering through the many obstacles. Recalling Haunter, making it safer for him, I hid behind the trunk of a giant oak. Breathing heavily and trembling I pulled on the Pokeball of Kadabra. Hopefully, now that we were halfway there, he could teleport us to Kadaraa. Once again, Kadabra appeared in front of me with an exhausted expression on his face. “I’m sorry… You’ll have to teleport us back to Kadaraa! Now!” I struggled to reach into my bag for an Ether. :censored… Better make it two. Scrambling to keep them from falling onto the ground, I managed to open one and spray it on Kadabra, then another. I tossed the bottles onto the ground. Feeling reenergized he nodded, closed his eyes and used Teleport. |

Chapter Four: Sorsha Medevil I attentively opened my eyes, taking in the sight of Kadaraa, the bustling, loud, Business City of Tohea. My vision focused on a brown figure before me, with long whiskers. Kadabra. Once again the Psy Pokémon had come through for the team. I gave it a thankful look and was really appreciative. The weather was finally letting up. A blanket of silver light covered the City due the rays of the Moon. Soon enough the Sun would conquer, but now it was the Moon’s reign. The air was cool, steady, and calm. The streets were still amazingly busy even in spite of the current time. I wasn’t a bit concerned with them; my mind was filled with anger aimed at Sorsha. After what she put me through I wanted her head as a trophy. Well, not literally, I wasn’t that sick and perverted. I just wanted her to go through the same suffering I did. “I suggest we leave now. I’m perfectly healthy and can take anything Sorsha might throw at you. I’ll have your back, as well as Haunter. Don’t worry… We’ll have that woman at our mercy!” Kadabra spoke. Another mind connection was active and I had a chance to reply. “Yes, you’re right. Let us go now.” I thought to myself. Hopefully Kadabra was reading my thoughts. I was still kind of new to the whole mind communication thing and was still learning to talk back. My response was rather dull, but whatever. It was true… We did need to move and now. It would be better to confront that devil at night. Most trainers would challenge her in the morning or evening and would make it uncomfortable, since I would like for my situation to be known by nobody else other than Sorsha and me. With those final thoughts I prepared for my walk to the gym. Pokémon safely bound to my waist, check. Bag on my back, check. Mind set on a course for revenge, check. My stroll through the streets of Kadaraa was quick and easy. Several people, apparently sensing my mind track, avoided me as I blindly walked up the sidewalks in a silent rage. They avoided contact and eyesight, even being close to me made some uneasy. My hands were balling up fists continuously, my feet made a sound as if I were stomping the entire way there, and my overall body language said: “Back off… Danger.” I passed few houses and instead came by many large office buildings and advertisement agencies. I turned a corner and continued my walk towards the Gym. I neared a giant dome shaped building at a corner of yet another two streets. I slowed down and lifted my head to see if I recognized anything at all. I noticed big bold letters printed at the top of the building. I stopped and began reading it to myself: “Kadaraa Gym- Prepare to be shocked!” I chuckled at their pathetic joke. I stood there, looking at the gym and taking a moment to think of how I’m going to go about my business. I was thinking of just walking in, telling her what was on my mind, challenge her, then leave knowing that I had beaten her senseless. Wait… Nah, that wouldn’t work. I’d need a more sophisticated, professional plan if I had any hope of getting my revenge. I grew extremely anxious and nervous as I began my walk towards the gym. It took nearly a year for me to finally reach the entrance to the building. With one final breath and though of encouragement I reached for the door and pulled… Locked. Perfect… Just great! Once I was able to find the courage to actually open the damn door it’s locked. How the hell would I come across Sorsha now? It’s not like she would fall out of the sky and land right next to me. It made perfect sense though, a gym leader wouldn’t seriously stay at the gym 24/7 and tend to every trainer’s challenge. She was human too. I proceeded to turn around, heading back to where I came. Suddenly the doors swung open letting a large amount of hot air rush into my back. “It’s you…” An intimidating voice called out to me. “Hikaru Ikasu. Come in, I don’t bite.” The voice faded off as footsteps followed a shadow inside the building. I grew tense and fretful. I managed to turn around and face the open gym. I then licked my lips, a nervous reaction that I had developed as a child, and walked inside. |

Chapter Five: Answers The gym lights turned on, illuminating the entire arena with bright, blinding lights, as I took my first few steps into the gym. I noticed the yellow and orange color scheme painted onto the walls and roof. Many rocks covered the arena serving as great hiding spots for smaller Pokémon. A rather large pond sat snugly in the middle that could be a certain death trap for any Pokémon that was stuck in there… Considering Sorsha, who had electric Pokémon. She led me to the very end of the building, furnishing a tale and two seats. She kindly motioned me to sit across from her. It was then that I was fully able to notice her physical appearance. She stood at a very fragile five feet, four inches. She seemed to weigh about a hundred and twenty pounds, give or take ten. She had long, blonde hair that reached down to about the halfway mark of her back. She looked at me with big blue eyes. She had a very slender build and a fragile body of sorts. I took a deep breath as I waited for her to explain. Even though I hadn’t said anything I think she knew what I needed an explanation for and why I was here. “I know why you’re here.” She began. “I knew if that you were able to get out of the room I had you in that you would be a challenge to me, someone that could finally beat me after all these months of consecutive wins. If you were able to escape then surely you would be able to defeat me. That is all…” She finished her explanation, or her excuse for one. I stood there shocked at her for what she did. She locked me up in that room for God knows how long and just so she could find an opponent. I rose from my seat furiously, slammed my hands on the table, and began my reply. “Who the hell do you think you are? You can’t go around locking random people up just so you can find yourself a challenge! You are a selfish, cruel bitch!” My temper got the best of me. I had allowed my voice to escalate into a frightful volume. It echoed throughout the room and carried on outside through the open doors. In spite of all this Sorsha looked calm. She had her legs one over the other with her hands folded respectfully over them. She had her eyes closed and finally opened them. “Finished yet? I hope so since I really want that battle, now. The only way for you to get your revenge is to defeat me. So, what’ll it be?” She stated the truth. The only way for my mind to be cleared from the path of revenge was to battle, defeat her, and claim her badge. And so I made up my mind. I was to carry out the battle right here, right now! I frantically reached for my pokeballs and grabbed them. “Let’s go…” I told her, already on my way to the arena. I watched as she let a smile slip through her face and then proceed down to her side of the arena. Once she took her final step I nodded to myself. This was it… I needed this win so that I could finally pay her back for what she did. Kadabra and Haunter were going to do great, I knew they would. Now it’s up to me to win this. All right, let’s do this! I tossed both the pokeballs into the air as she did with hers. All four of the pokeballs clashed with the ground in synchronization. All of them revealed their respective Pokémon. All four of them knew what was happening as they stared into each other’s eyes. The scene was set, we were set, and they were set. Now all we needed to wait for was the right time to strike. |

OOC: If I were to receive an A I would seriously appreciate an Aerodactyl, the money, and two rare candies, traded from the prize B, in place of the evolution item. Thankees so much Chapter Six: The Absolute Ending We both stood there, fixing our eyes into each other, trying to sense the slightest flaw or weakness in each other. Our Pokémon did the same, the battle was going to be hard and brutal. I had faith in my Pokémon and even though it would be tough I had a feeling we would make it out winners. Another minute of silence took place until finally Sorsha gave her commands. “Plus, Minus… Initiate formation two, now!” She said with a demanding and fierce voice. Almost instantaneously the two electric mousses ran up to Haunter and Kadabra. Before anything though I had to let them know what to do. Obviously those two miniature rats were highly advanced and trained. “Alright, lets get started! Kadabra use your Psychic attack to slow down the two opponents or even stop them if possible! Then, Haunter, while they are being held by Kadabra please get in front of them and then use Hypnosis!” I called out. Although Minus and Plus were already executing their commands we had a chance. As the two, yellow rats zigzagged throughout the rocks and what not Kadabra was able to catch one with his Psychic abilities. The other was well on its way to attack Haunter. Its body was covered in what seemed like static electricity. It quickly jumped at Haunter, gaining incredible altitude, and struck it down with force. The Ghost and mouse collided onto the floor creating a large dust cloud. Pebbles flew in every direction due to the impact caused by the attack. Once the rat decided to jump off of Haunter's seemingly holographic body, Haunter quickly got up and chased the mouse around the rocky field. “Enough fooling around! Hypnosis, Haunter!” I yelled. Haunter halted and looked at the helpless Minus. It began chanting the same exact thing he had earlier. It sounded just as creepy and cold blooded as before and it seemed like the effect was working here as well. Minus was out cold. To the right of the field was Kadabra. Seizing the opportunity, he flailed his scrawny arms to the right, forcing Minus into a brutal path towards the gym wall. Plus watched as his sister pummeled into the wall with extreme force. It jumped up at the horror of the view, as well as Sorsha. Minus' impact created a rather large dent in the wall, sending cracks flying through the wall. She finally dropped onto the ground, unconscious, still sleeping. “Damn it… Come on wake up!” She yelled at Minus. Her continued attempts seemed useless. She turned to Plus and looked at Kadabra. “Plus I’ll need you to use your Quick Attack and get near Kadabra. If possible hit him, but make sure that you use Thunder Wave once you get close enough!” I chuckled at how naďve Sorsha could possibly be. Didn’t she know that her rat couldn’t get anywhere near Kadabra? Guess I would have to show her… The hard way! “Kadabra, Teleport away from Plus then turn to him and use Disable on it’s Thunder Wave.” I finished, rather calmly. I knew I had this battle in the bag. “Haunter, go towards the sleeping one and unleash a barrage of Shadow Punches! Go!” I finished my command and looked up at Sorsha with a look that said… It’s over. I couldn’t help but smile at her loss to be. I was to beat her here and make her suffer for what she did… The plan was executed beautifully. My Kadabra Teleported away from Plus numerous times until he found an opening for a devastating Disable. He waved his arms into the air once more and balled up a fist that sent Plus shivers up it's small, furry body. Plus was no longer able to use Thunder Wave for the duration of the battle. Haunter made his way over to Minus and began his onslaught. Sounds of bashing were heard from the corner as Kadabra unleashed yet another Psychic attack, only this time it was on Plus. He continually slammed Plus into the walls, rocks, and floor. The battle was won; it was only a matter of time before it would be over. Sorsha dropped her head in defeat, she knew the fact as well. “Sorsha! Give up before your Pokémon are severely beaten. I’ve won. You know that.” I shouted across the room. I stepped closer to Sorsha signaling that in fact it was over. Both of her Pokémon lay motionless on the rocky floor. She looked back up and smiled at me. “Great job, you’re an excellent trainer, indeed. I apologize for caging you up like that… I felt it was needed though. Congratulations you deserved the win.” She said as she threw you an envelope from across the room. I gradually opened it to reveal a badge, money, and a disc that looked like a TM. She returned her pokes and went into the back room leaving me in the arena. I returned Kadabra and Haunter right away and pocketed them. I looked up at the ceiling and sighed. This was the life of a trainer… Full with surprises and such. I made my way out of the gym thinking of what I was to do next… |
