Please guys, I can not stress this enough. When a member goes to the Employment agency and asks for a job check to make sure the job is still open!!!. There are a LIMITED AMOUNT of slots for each job!! If all the slots are filled, they can not have the job. There have been alot of times where someone has asked for a job, and its given to them, but then I check and find that all the slots for that job have already been filled. Please, do NOT forget to check!

And if you DO give a person the job, you must put their name in one of the slots. If you can't edit the post, alert a gmod or an admin, and they will edit it for you.

Don't forget this okay? This is VERY important.

Post here so I know you read this. Thanks :)

Oh dear, I was worried this was happening. Well then, I'll continue doing so Rune. I've kept to checking, though I only had the chance for one job, which I had to turn down.

I'd like to make a second account sometime in the future. With that, I would also like to create a 'Crossover'. 'Crossover' : Someone or something that comes from another world or setting that was not originally intended to be in the world (Tohea).

Example: Stephan Reiken. A State Alchemist from Amertis. A Character from the 'Fullmetal Alchemist' Anime that normally would have no business being in a Pokémon RP, except that I felt like trying and Stephan was accepted as a character.

Now, I like to think about making characters and create nice backgrounds and such, but I want to ask some limits to Character Creation that were not needed before now besides, perhaps, Psychic Using.

Here is a list of Material that I would find important. It matters not if one or all are denied, these are unusual things that should not be taken lightly. As listed next to some are certain penalties that may offset the gained abilities.

Reploid: A completely Robotic Humanoid with Actual Intelligence. A Reploid would typically have built-in weapons, such as a Buster, an arm that turns into an Energy gun, an Energy Sword, and one or two additional, Energy Consuming Weapons.
Is also very strong physically.
-Penalties:
Does start with a Pokémon and..

Limited to 5 or less Pokémon. May/must gain Experience and may not Level up, a 'Static' level is set into place to determine Health and relative power. Can 'Learn' new attacks through defeating a strong opponent and gained his/hers 'Signiture' move. Or perhaps cannot.

Solar Boy: A character with a Gun Del Sol and a Arm Del Sol (Cannot remember name, Arm Del Sol will do.). The Gun can be equiped with various modfications, though few if any will be found in Tohea. The Arm modifies the weapon, Sword Axe etc.., the user is holding in that hand, lacing it with Solar, Fire, or Dark Energy. Solar Energy would be considered Strong vs Dark types, Bad vs Grass.
User has Experience Levels with the weapon, more Experience, the stronger the weapon is.
-Penalties:
Hmm.. doesn't start with a Pokémon? No Pokedex or other Pokémon related items, problems created IC with not having a Pokedex.
Note: Gun Del Sol uses Energy and leveling. As such, it does not have the destructive power of a Firearm until much later.

Samurai, Gunman, other related: A character proficent with Swords or stuff. Starts with related Weapon(s)
Penalties:
No change?

Crossover Powers:
Magic, Supernatural Powers... those Oriented towards Combat?
Penalties:
It would depend on Power, but elimination of Max No. of Pokémon.

The ideas are all good, however I doubt that most of these will be accepted.

Here's why.

1) Most of these abilities would undermine that of the Pokémon—this is a Pokémon roleplay, having those kind of powers would make Pokémon all but useless.

2) With a character as strong as one of those you suggested, it would be easy to take out competitors. (Whether team competitors or simply rivals) Let's say I have a Reploid character and I'm a member of Tohean Guard. If I wanted to, I could just walk over to Munch and blast her to bits with my energy gun, or carve her for dinner with my energy sword. (No harm intended to either Munch or the Tohean Guard)

3) If you have one of the aforementioned characters, you could easily be able to traverse almost all of the island with ease. Ex: Is that a level 17 Pikachu? Well, I won't use my level 5 Trapinch on it, I'll just pwn it with my Gun Del Sol.

4) Tohea is after being realistic, so although those character ideas were no doubt the work of careful planning, they don't fit well with the rest of the site. Sure, Pokémon aren't realistic, but besides that, we try to keep it as accurate as possible.

5) It would take quite some time for coming up with signature moves for over 300 Pokémon. . .

I'm not knocking your work; it's very good. I'm just saying that Tohea might not be the best place for those ideas.

I have an idea...this would help everybody and you can still make your character have what ever habits, disadvantages and other good background stuff you want. However, this would all have to be based on one condition...YOU ARE 100% HUMAN! It's ok if you want to have a couple of appendages missing or made into some sort of metal blade or whatever. Nonetheless, if I was an opposing player and saw that I would have to first call a time out. Have a ref reassure me you aren’t going to try and pull some evil death ray or death star out from your pocket and nuke me with it. Basically what I am saying to you is...play on an even field with the rest of us. Not saying you can’t have some sort of training like ninja or martial arts. God knows I have martial arts knowledge and there is at least 2 ninja characters running around on the site. However, with that said they don't have something from mega man where they can blast a building with there plasma cannon or what ever the correct term of it is. As much as I would love to see Rush come out of nowhere and convert into your hover ship I don’t want to see it be used unfairly. It's like those stupid kids who play rock, paper, scissors, and then they say that play typhoon or volcano and it wipes out all others. Stuff like this leads me to see a warning sign that reads:

BEWARE FOR GODMODDING AHEAD

So if you can find some way to please play a normal character and not have to bring in other animes mechanics to the game that would be great...then again having a buster cannon would be fun...just not to role-play against and would take all the fun out for me. End of /rant

I'm sorry Stephan, but in the end the answer is no. Allowing you to have either characters only opens doors for other people to have fantastic characters, and there really wouldn't be anyway to keep it at a certain managable level. This is a Pokémon RPG, and such characters from psychics, to robots, are not accepted. We've denied people before who have wanted to do such things, and I must deny you now.

I do not really care about whether or not the Reploid is denied Pokémon Technology is advanced, however, so the thought exists.

The Gun Del Sol is nothing more than a gun. A gun that is weaker than a normal gun, because it relies on more energy based attacks. A bullet is much more damaging, and is in Tohea.

As I have said, it doesn't matter if these are denied. But, it is not true that you could not keep such things to a managable level. Allowing a player to choose such a person could require extensive background information. That would be restrictive enough to let it only on the deticated few.

Donnie, don't lump me in with those whose intelligence you have lumped me in with.

Yet, the smallest section because it takes the least explaining..

A guns expert.. a Swordsman. You are not restricted in the age of your character, therefore your character has experience in something.

Finally, I did not ask a Yes or No Question. I asked what the limits were, so... what are they?

Ok seriously Steph...may I call you Steph...anyways Steph those ideas you had a couple were plausible, but no way in hell should you be half a robot the idea of a human having the strength of a robot is just unthinkable. I understand you would have some limits to it, but even the limits would undoubtedly not over weigh the possibilities. I think you seriously have a problem with coming up with just a normal character. Is it that hard to just to play a normal human being or must you find some way in which to spin some sort of abnormal reality into the mix. And to tell you the truth your character you play is kind of iffy if you ask me. I have seen the Full Metal Alchemist series so trust me I know what I am talking about. I am assuming you have lost your ability to use Alchemy correct. If not I think your character should be looked at again to see if it may be a little overpowered.

Anyways getting back on the subject at hand. Is it really that hard to play your average Joe or Jane for all those girl players out there? I mean you give them a basic age a basic height. Of course there can be anything within reason...certainly no 150 year old men going out for Pokémon training. Now here is what makes your character different from everyone else’s character and this is why making a normal character is fun. You give it a background and then a personality. Ohh and don’t forget you can give it some background training as well. My character has past experience in Martial Arts so not saying you couldn’t have like swordsman training or something, but please be realistic. I am sure your not going to have demolition training if your 12...unless you parents didn't do a good job of raising you that might be understandable. Now when you put that all together that makes your character. And from all that it certainly will sound very interesting in its own way, but you control how interesting it is. However, guess what I just did...I made a normal 100% human character sound like something great and I didn't even have to take stuff from other animes of Mangas or video games to make my character. Everything can be made up on the spot as long as you allow it too. Now if you are that bent on making a cross over character I am sure there are other rpg out there that have those type of limits, but from what I understand from what roo said it appears those limit are something that Tohea doesn't do. However, I will leave her to say something as exact as that.
