"I do not think there is any thrill that can go through the human heart like that felt by the inventor as he sees some creation of the brain unfolding to success... such emotions make a man forget food, sleep, friends, love, everything." - Nikola Tesla

This is the sad and unfortunate story of Abby Thorans life before she came to Tohea. I hope it makes you think about if this was a real person as it has been known to be true. I will do one chapter a day, if I can, hope you'll like it. Also if any of this contradicts my profile, this is the real thing, and my profile should be changed if it can. Chapter 1 ~ The Life and Death of Liam Chapter 2 ~ The Wise Preachings of the Young and the Old Chapter 3 ~ What Was and is No More Chapter 4 ~ Life with Out Being Alive Chapter 5 ~ A Plague on All Your Island Chapter 6 ~ Goodbye, to the Life I Loved ~Chapter 1 - The Life and Death of Liam~ That morning she rembered like no other, waking up to the screams of a newborn baby was a dream come true. Abby had always wanted a younger sibling, someone to love and cherish for always and eternity. When your four years old, you don't think of being cheated by the world, or death at all. Little did Abby know that ten years later her whole family would be dead and gone. She watched him grow up with passion, the years whizzed pass without stopping, soon he was a lean, tall boy, who loved to range the forests covering the island. She was twelve now, Liam, as her brother was called, was nine, and was developing a kinness with the wide world around him. He was peaceful and never harmed a living thing. He loved to run through the forests after Stantler or Aipom and one day he brought home a large something wrapped up in his t-shirt, which he refused to show anyone and immediately locked himself in his room. It was three weeks later that she found out what he had been hiding all this time. She had seen him creeping off into the forest with his precious parcel still wrapped carefully under his arms, she put down the fishing net she was mending and crept off after him, into the misty refines of the forest. The air immediately went cold, the forest closed around her as if it never wanted to let her go. Abby carried on though her inquisitive nature taking over from her fears, as it had always done in the past. She didn't let Liam out of her sight and carried on until he walked carefully into a large glade, the floor covered with rich brown and red leaves, the sun came streaming in making the glade seem like a holy place in the dark reaches of the forest. She stopped on the edge of the glade hoping Liam hadn't noticed her creeping after him, she didn't want to disturb what he was diong she just wanted to see what he had compassionately been working on these past weeks. Liam had stopped in the middle of the glade and had started unwrapping the parcel. Abby had expected to see a pile of meat, or one of his wooden toys, but as the clothes fell off it one by one, she felt tears starting to form in her throat, and had to stifle back a cry. It hadn't been a toy, it was a Pokémon, an Aipom. Suddenly memories she had tried to compress flooded back into her consciousness. Her Aipom, the way it had smiled, the way it had acted and its cheeky nature, but the world had taken it away from her when she was six years old. It had jumped in after a fis that had escaped from a fishing net, and never came back up. But here was her brother releasing one he had obviously saved from death back into the forest it had lived in. The Aipom still had a bandage wrapped around its chest, but didn't seem to notice as it slowly raised itself up onto its legs, and suddenly ran back towards the forest, jumped into thetrees and swang off into the distance. Her brother stood calmly in the glade watching the little Aipom swing through the trees and out of sight. Abby could watch no more, she let out the cry she had been holding back and a long sob came out. Her brother immediately whipped his head around spotting her instantly, she hadn't seen him like this before. His face had contorted with rage, he looked nothing like a nine year old now, he seemed to have grown another five or six years in minutes. Abby stepped out into the clearing knowing it was no use trying to hide, he would find her anyway. Her brother stared her down as she slowly made her way towards him, the sun seemed to create an unbreachable space between them. "Why...., why did you follow me?" Liam struggled to get out, his face becoming slightly calmer, but his eyes betraying his furious anger. Abby didn't know how to reply. She had followed him and watched him release the Pokémon, what was so wrong about that. "I....umm....just wondered what you were doing," Abby umbled as mean of a reply, she had never seen her brother looking like this. He had always been so quiet and laid back, and now, all of a sudden, he was up in arms over nothing. "You could have asked,"[/color Liam growled, through gritted teeth,"But no, as my older sister, you felt it was alright to stalk me to my secret place, and watch me do something I wanted no-one else to know about." Abby stared dumbfoundedly at her brother, she thought that he loved her, but here he was blaming her for being alive. "Look Liam..." Abby managed to finally say, but Liam wouldn't let her go any further. "No, you listen to me, all my life I've lived on this stupid island, been followed by you, mum or dad every where I go and been forced to mend fishing nets when I'd rather be in here, alone. Why will no-one see that!!" Liam suddenly grabbed an old stick off the ground and threw it straight at her, Abby swiftly caught it as her brother picked up another stick. "Come on then," Liam shouted across the hallowed glade, defiling the quiet surround it gave off,"Fight me, you followed me here you can fight me." "Liam, I really don't think.." but Abby got no further. Liam charged straight towards her, stick raised high in the air, bringing it swooping down towards her head. Abby neatly side-stepped sending her brother sprawling across the leafy floor. Slowly Liam picked himself up and started circling Abby, staring her down, like a tiger stalking its prey. He then let out a bellowing roar, seeming strange coming from a thin, stringy boy, and charged Abby again, stick raised high. His blood curdling yell sent chills through Abby, as she stood her ground. As Liam neared, she whipped her stick up into a solid block, giving it a quick flick as Liam's stick came into contact. What happened after stuck in her memory for ever, she knew it was her fault, if she hadn't followed him none of this would have happened. Liams stick flew across the glade and landed about twenty feet away. Their faces came up close together, and they could feel each others breathing on their faces. Abby could see deep into her brothers eyes, and saw, not anger now, but shame. Suddenly bursting into tears, Liam fled back into the forest, away from Abby. She chased after him ducking branches and dodging trees, trying to keep up with her brother. She chased him for over a mile until she burst into the final minutes of his life. She found him with his back turned to her behind a tree, like he was leaning on it. "Liam, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done what I did," Abby apoligised, expecting her brother to shout at her again. When she got complete silence, she moved cautiously towards him. As she rounded the tree, tears began to form again, but this time she couldn't hold them back. Her brother, her little brother, was pinned to the tree, the only thing holding him up were two Stantler antlers. They had gone right through him and into the tree. Abby rushed over to him and caressed his head in her hands. "Abby, I always looked up to you, I always wanted to do better than you, but I never could. Yous should know that I will never stop loving you, down to the last seconds of my life." Liam spluttered suddenly, blood erupting from his mouth as he spoke. As the last of his life ebbed from his body, she kissed him for one last time as he died. She pulled the antlers from his body and let it fall to the floor. She sat there for a couple of hours before picking up his limp form and starting the long trek home. As she entered the village, gasps came from all sides as she walked down the street towards her house. Her parents came outside as loud cries filled the air, and stood stock still outside the door as Abby made her way towards them. She took his body into the house and laid on the table. Then ran to her parents and cried, cried for her brother, cried for her family and cried at the cruelty of the world. Thus ends Chapter 1 of Abby's life. |

If you can do this for a chapter. Why don't you write more in your journey? But yes, very good. I know briefly all this anyway from discussions with you. |

Some of you may know I'm going away for a week, so won't be able to post. Here is a snippet of what's to come. Taken from the upcoming 'Chapter 2 - The wise teachings of the young and the old' "There they stood, twenty feet away from each other, both clasping bright red Pokeballs in there fists. Staring into each others eyes and neither breaking contact. Bruno reacted first throwing his Pokeball into the air, closely followed by her Grandpa rolling his along the floor. "Come on out Machamp" Bruno yelled as bright red mist seeped from the Pokeball. Abby's grandpa said nothing, but just watched and gave a small noise of approval. The red mists slowly started forming into Pokémon, both growing in size, until they took the form they needed. Two things amazed Abby at this, she had never seen two Pokémon fight before, and her Grandpas Pokémon surprised her even more, a bright green lizard like Pokémon had formed in front of Grandpa. Brunos shocked face revealed his surprise. "Well Sceptile, old chum, its been a long time," Abby's grandpa chuckled, "Lets get this started then, go on Sceptile, Slam that Machamp." Bruno reacted instantly, pulling himself out of shock, he shouted to his Machamp,"Don't let that oversized lizard hurt you Machamp, when it comes near hit it with a cross-chop." Both Pokémon ran towards each other, grimly determined to do what their trainers asked of them. Abby's Grandpa's face was screwed up with concentration, while Bruno seemed laid back and extremely calm. As both Pokémon neared each other the whole arena went silent, the only sound coming from the pounding of the Pokémons feet. Suddenly they me, a large thump echoed across the field, throwing copious amounts of dust into the air, surrounding the Pokémon. When the dust had settled the sight that appeared was amazing, two powerful Pokémon, locked in an embrace, waiting for the other to give in. It was a sight to treasure..." That's it for now, hope you will continue reading!! |
