"I do not think there is any thrill that can go through the human heart like that felt by the inventor as he sees some creation of the brain unfolding to success... such emotions make a man forget food, sleep, friends, love, everything." - Nikola Tesla

  • RULES FOR SIGNING UP

+To sign up you must PM the account: Tournament Official listing, at the most six Pokemon you want to enter, their levels, their genders, and the move set that they know upon signing up.

+ UPON SIGNING UP, your current profile will be SAVED. Thus, if you do training after signing up, it won't count! It will in your RPG, but all battling will be used off of the SAVED profile. (Basically, you can do whatever in your journey while the Tournament is in progress, but it won't affect the tournament). Whatever you receive from the tournament however, such as experiance, items, etc will be added to you In Character journey. So if your pikachu gains a level in the OOC tournament, your pikachu in your IC tournament will also gain that level. So don't sign up until you have finished with whatever training you wanted to do.

+ When signing up, you are going to need to select AT MOST SIX Pokemon to bring into it. Only three will be used in each battle, however. You will need to choose which three depending on the arena. You will only be able to use these six (or less) for the duration of the tournament, but you can use any combination of the three that you like. For example:

Trainer A signs up with these six Pokemon: Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Totodile, Cyndaquil, and Chikorita.

For his first battle he uses: Charmander, Bulbasaur, Totodile
    Second battle: Cyndaquil, Squirtle Bulbasaur
    Third battle: Chikorita, Charmander, Squirtle

+While you can only sign up six Pokemon at the max, you CAN sign up any amount LESS than that. Thus if you only want to sign up 5, 4, 3, 2, or even 1 Pokemon, you can. However it is in your best interest to sign up 6 Pokemon. You will not be given any special treatment if you have less then six. And if you only have 2, and go up against a trainer with a full team, your two Pokemon will be expected to battle the opposing trainer's entire team.

    PM Tournament Offical Here

+Signs up will CLOSE on FEBRUARY 10TH!!!!

  • Tournament Format

    Overall Format

+ After signing up, staff will devise a roster. Everyone will start out at the bottom level and be randomly paired with one opponent. They will then battle, with the referees updating the rounds, etc. Whoever is first to KO all three opposing Pokémon will progress to the next level.

+ The arenas you will be battling on will be random. Your match type might even be random. We might give you a twist and state that your battling on a grassy field, but in a 2 on 2 match. Thus, you're going to need to call out TWO Pokémon as opposed to the normal one.

+ If a Pokémon leaves any arena under your orders or under its own decision, you will be disqualified from the tournament.

+ Be prepared for anything...and choose your initial six with great thought. After stating the arena you are going to be battling on, out of those six you registered, you're going to need to pick which THREE will actually participate in that particular match.

+If you loose a match you will still recieve 1/4 :exp

+ If both Pokémon faint at the same time, both will recieve full :exp.

    + The top 4 winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th) will receive prizes.

    Individual Battle Layout

+Battles will always only be between 2 members. Once each member has stated what they want their Pokémon to do, a staff member will ref the battle. These three posts, (Each trainer posting how they want to attack, and the ref posting what happens) makes up one round.

+Once the pairings are decided, their battle topic will be created by a staff member in the appropriate arena. Once the topic has been created, each trainer MUST PM the staff member who created that topic with the three Pokémon they wish to use for that battle AND they Pokémon they wish to START with. This way, neither trainer will have an advantage to start with. I.E. if the first trainer sends out Charmander, the second trainer can't suddenly decide to use Squirtle, rather than the Bulbasaur he had planned to use first.

+When the pairings are decided, each member will be given either the letter A, or the letter B, at random. The member with the letter A will start first in the battle. After that it switches off. For example:

    Ref: "Battle Starts!"

    TrainerA: "Bulbasaur use vine whip"

    TrainerB: "Chikorita use razor leaf!"

Ref: "Bulbasaur uses vine whip, Chikorita looses 10 hp. Chikorita uses razor leaf, Bulbasaur looses 10 hp."

    TrainerB: "Chikorita, use sweet scent!"

TrainerA: "Bulbasaur, try to dodge it!"

And so on. After each round, the trainer who went last in stating what they want their Pokémon to do, goes first. This way neither trainer has the advantage for very long.

+When ONE of the two battling Pokémon faints, BOTH trainers have the option of switching out their Pokémon. HOWEVER, the trainer with the Pokémon who DID NOT faint, MUST switch FIRST if he wants to switch.

+You may not switch out your Pokémon unless either yours, or your opponent's, Pokémon has fainted.

+If both Pokémon faint at the same time, the one who attacked last sends out a Pokémon. Afterward, the other trainer sends out a Pokémon AND orders the first attack. Then the round proceeds as normal.

+When the battle ends, the winner will be matched up with the winner of a seperate battle, an arena will be assigned, and you start all over.

+If your opponent forfeits by statement or by lack of response, the winner will receive full experience.

+The use of items will NOT be permitted in the Tournament
