Apologies

I haven't been active lately...simply because not only do I literally go out with friends every day of my life...but, I took a look at my progress report today and I'm failing four classes.

Now, as if I didn't have enough time, I have to:

> Spend 3 days after school every week for extra help, which guarentees no failing classes due to effort.

> Make up all the work I'm missing, which is a lot.

> I had an appointment with my guidance counselor at my high school, and apparently, to get into anything other than a community college, you need at least a 2.6 GPA and a 1,000 on your SATs. I have a 2.3, and I scored a 986 on my practice SATs. So, I have some work to do....it's just I never do it. Not only that, but I have to take up an extra curricular activity such as a sport or join robotics team or something. So yeah, I'll probably take up baseball.

All in all, I have to do a four page paper (which isn't much...but it's 3 days late...and I loose 10 points every day). So, I'll get on when I can. Sorry. P.S. Runea is doing a great job.

It is so not a problem. Don't even worry about a thing Nick, we've got things here. You just focus on your studies! Good luck, and we know you can do it. And if you have any random college questions, feel free to ask, if you want another perspective on things k? We're cheering for you!

and *sheepish smile* thank you for the compliment

Nick, it is totally nothing to apologize for. I know it's hard to meet the standards the system sets, and harder still for one's own personal standards. This is fight you've gotta fight, and one that I have every faith you can win. We're all right here behind you! And like Runea said, if you have any college questions or anything you need, I'm glad to answer them all, though I'm a year behind her. Good luck!!

Hey, at least you're trying to fix things. An old friend of mine was so addicted to World of Warcraft that he literally didn't go to his classes and failed out of college. And he got my ex boyfriend hooked on the game, too...and from what I heard, he lost his position as a residence assistant as well as his scholarship.

You, however, actually seem to care about you education, which is definitely good! I'm sure you'll pull through. And you're right, Runea's doing a great job ^__^

2.3 GPA isn't that bad. You could get into a university with that, espcialy if you make a good ACT or SAT score.

Anyway, good luck getting your real world stuff sorted out. :D

I agree with everyone here. There is nothing to apologies for Nick. I know that you will succeed at this battle. I'm done with High School I just hadn't got into college yet but I'm behind you no matter what. *smiles*

Like they all said, it's good that you are taking a hold of your future. You don't want to end up like me, who failed six classes due to lack of attendance. Sure I learned my lesson and made it to college this year, but i wish i did what you are doing now. Good for you.

School should always be on top of your to do list.
No need for excuses, just do your best and I know the community will back you up allways. Now go for it!!!
