Too Many Legendaries?

According to this Wikipedia Article, there is around 35 different Legendary Pokemon. Doesn't that seem like a lot? A Legendary Pokemon, to me, is something of immense power and is rare. 35 different species isn't exactly rare...considering theres probably less steel types than there are legendaries!

Did you also know that out of those 35 Pokemon, 12 of them are part physic? I know that physic, in theory, is a very powerful type...but do they all really need to be part physic? What are your thoughts on the Legendaries? Do you think that all of them deserve the legendary status?

And also, just for fun, what Legendary do you think best represents Tohea? Just as Kanto has it's fair share of legendaries (Zapdos, etc.), which one do you think could best serve as Tohea's regional legendary. This is just for fun, don't get excited. :P

I think we should have a contest, and make our own 3 legendaries, and they will represent the legendaries of Tohea? =) that sounds like fun!

And the winner gets like money or RC's or something... or a pokemon? and maybe the legendaries could have pre-evolutions?

I cant think of anything right now, but seeing as, unless I am mistaken, Grouden and Kyogre destroyed the place, it would be them, as they are near there. Also, I think there are too many lgendaries. I mean come on: Fire bird, fire dog, ice bird, lightning bird, blah, blah blah. Cones of legendaries literally, blah.

I don't really think 35 is that much. In game terms, maybe. But think about it - Say there were 1,000,000,000 people in our world. Would 35 leaders be enough to control us? I doubt it. Legendary Pokemon, I would assume, work the same way. They watch over all of the other species. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't there 458 Non-Legendary species total? Would 35 Legends be enough to control all of them? Remember, it's 458 species, not Pokemon. Ingame, it seems cheap. But in a Pokemon-inhabited world, I'd say it's just enough/less then needed.

As for a legendary that represents Tohea? Well, I'm new here, so I don't know too much, but I say Shemi and/or Jirachi seem to fit. Just a feeling.

Well, if you think about it, there are millions of pokemon liveing in the world. There are 35 pokemon that are legendary. That is 35/some almost infinete number. Psycic is the power of the mind. Is it any wonder why all the powerful pokemon are psycic?

On the Tohean legendary thing, I'm not sure really :\

Very good point. I never really thought of it that way, with them looking over all the Pokemon (not just species, but entire numbers). Although my Mayor looks over about 500,000 people in my city, 35 world leaders wouldn't be enough to look over billions of people. What a nice post...it shines new light on my theory. :D

The most powerful legendary Pokemon is a horse guy (so far). It is coming in the new games.

Tohea's legendary Pokemon should be unique.

Yes, there are too many legendaries. And no, Jirachi does not represent Tohea. Or anything for that matter. It's a pathetic unworthy excuse for a pokemon, much less a legendary one.

Heradite: I assume you mean Aruseus? I suppose Aruseus could represent Tohea. Then again, it would probably represent everything Pokemon related if it really is a (or THE?) Pokemon God.

True. I meant him.

Here's a qood question: If we were to have Legendary Pokemon, who gets to have it?

I'd assume it'd either be:

A: Always wild, but still possible to battle against
B: Captured by a Mod/Global Mod/Admin
C: Catchable by anyone, only by Masterball

I think those would make the most sense, but it would be up to the staff to really decide how it would work.

I like A) better.

That way no-one has a higher advantage.

They should be very very very rare, but still catchable.
