Trouble Down Under

Steve Irwin A.K.A the legendary crocodile hunter died at the age of 44. Strangely like most people thought not from a crocodile, or snake, nor spider. No it was a stingray that did him in.

While making a documentary for his 8 year old daughter a stingray tail got stuck in his heart. Being the daredevil he is Steve Irwin pulls it out. Sadly shortly after he dies.

His wife was hiking and just recently there had been some rumours that Steve was killed by a crocodile but now it was real you can only imagine how his children felt (8 year old daughter and a 2 year old boy).

I know this is old new or maybe new news to some people (maybe someone already made a topic) but, it dosen't hurt to tell it again.

Well that all i want to say...................

I just think it's strange that he died from a Stingray. They're one of the least agressive animals around. The first sign of danger, they nearly always run like hell!

Apparently he was alive long enough to pull the barb out of his heart, though. They caught it on camera.

It is pretty sad for us Australians, even though he was made big in the U.S.A. and at first all Australians thought he was stupid! :P

Anyway, he was punctured by the stringray in the heart, and he would have lived longer, had he left it in there. Unfortunately he pulled it out and he died shortly afterwards. Trust me on this, we have discussed even in class with the teachers!

R.I.P. Steve.

Yes it is a bit sad :( , Mr Irwin was a great hero to us Kiwis in NZ,

I was actually shocked when I heard the news, I don't think that there was a man who was more risking.

I thought that was a rumor but I guess its not, we'll all miss him.

RIP Mr Irwin

Yeah, I was shocked when I heard this too. I was actually pretty down about it, because he does great things and doesn't deserve to die.

From what I heard, his guard was down when swimming with the sting ray's (let's face it, Crocodiles are more dangerous then them anyday), thus he didn't exactly see it coming. When the camera man circled around him, the sting ray felt pinned between Steve and the guy, so he shot forward with his 10 incht tail and pierced him right in the heart. Steve pulled it out instinctively, and died seconds later.

It's strange, because the camera crew and his wife always use to joke. "If you die, it's going to be in the water". because he's far too quick. In the water, he was out of his element and thus couldn't jump back like he usually does.

RIP.
