With the removal of Daycare, leveling up is going to be slow. What if we made the battles quicker? Instead of 100% health and energy, what if we reduced it to around 50%. Obviously, saying the opponent is at 50% is going to make you think it's at half-health, but what if we changed the system (no need for reset) to have like an HP system. Like: Level 1's have 5 HP. Level 10s might have 20 HP. Obviously we would need to make it a bit more advanced, but uh, it would make battles quicker and thus leveling up much easier. |

I like that. That sounds pretty good to me, especially since you mods have alot of reffing to do, thus also making you have to do a little less work. |

Nonononono keep 100% HP just make attacks more hp taken off! So instead of like 12% off from a tackle maybe 30% ;) Theres your answer! |

That would completely screw me up though. I thought of that, but it would get confusing. Actually, it COULD work.... Normally, I refree a type effective Hydro Pump doing like 40% damage. If I double that, it's 80%. Thus, making it end quick, but almost two quick. Blastoise could whipe out Charmander in two attacks... 80% is a lot...Lol |

Hmm. I see the points from both ways. Though the 100% and strnger attacks works well, it'd mean that battles would be TOO short. Wheras the 5HP system would work similarly.. Maybe add 4HP a level? Lvl 1 - 4 Lvl 2 - 8 Lvl 3 - 12 Ect. |

THat would work, but it would mean placing a damage percentage (Say, 15-20 damage) for EVERY move. |

If we increased 4 HP a level, a simple tackle takes off like 6-10 in todays standards, and thus could kill the enemy depending on who strikes first. |

Good point. Well, I know level two's have about 15-16 HP, and add two or three HP points each level. Maybe we could replicate that? |

I agree with making the battles shorter but I'm not quite too sure on the method of doing so. I think the starting at 50% HP would work out fine. |

You'd have to develop an evasion rate system though. That'd be tougher. Determining how much damage someone takes means you have to create a stat system and figure out how each move can be adapted.. |

Good point. Me and Nick have already decided to stay with the good old 100% method, though. |
