My character is from another world, forced into this world. In his orgin, he could use Alchemy.
Quote:

-Alchemy-
Stephan has special access to powers probably unheard of in the new world he inhabits. Though now its potency is limited, Stephan can still use the Alchemy he remembers.

Alchemy is a Science driven by willpower. Alchemy is activated when one draws a specific Alchemic circle designed for a purpose. This purpose is to turn one substance into another, or in other words to transmute matter. Any kind of matter will do.

Simplest
Simple
Moderate
Artisian (Think, impossible is more like it. This Circle actually failed its purpose)

An Alchemist simply draws a circle, and touches it... willing the Alchemy to happen, and it happens. However, the Alchemist must understand what he is trying to do in order for it to work.

This is not quite as magical as it sounds. Alchemy follows a simple law. The Law of Equilvalent Exchange. You cannot gain more then you started with. Energy from the Alchemist is used in the process, and the substance changed can only change into something made of the substance. You could transmute a Radio fixed, or create a stone wall out of earth under you. But you couldn't make gold from lead, or create a stone wall out of the air.

-Summerized-
Stephan can draw an Alchemic circle around some raw material, and create objects.

He can also cause a small fire, though limited. More Expanisve, he can transmute the air so that the Oxygen is more concentrated in one area, specifically a small path of oxygen, and then a large area of 100% oxygen. Thus creating an Explosion.

Stephan has a Giant Sword that sits on his back, which he throws on a substance that he invented and lights it on fire with Alchemy.

Another type of Alchemic attack is very simple. Trasmute a spike of earth into something, or just a pillar of earth to smash something.

I'm sure you can see good reasons why this isn't exactly something that should be allowed without first considering the possibilities. Pokémon themselves can easily stop Stephan from just terrorizing the place, if he wanted to, which he does not. But also consider that Stephan could convicably open up a shop and fix things, or create things to sell. This would cost Stephan little more then some work and sweat.

Also, Stephan has an AutoMail hand. This Hand is made of Metal, and Stephan has enough expertise in AutoMail Engineering to keep up its Matinence. It works just like an organic hand would, minus the feeling of heat. Just the feeling of pressure.

Now, the question is, is Alchemy unbalancing if thrown onto a Pokémon Trainer? Here are possible disadvantages that could be added on to Stephan himself due to his Alchemy.

-Another World
Stephan still practices Alchemy, and this interupts his Training of Pokémon quite a bit.
-5% all around to all Pokémon Stephan trains.

-Evil Wizard!
Stephan is misunderstood whenever he uses Alchemy within Cities. Most people think it witchcraft and run him out of town. (This could be won over.. over time and lots of good happening because of Stephan's Alchemy.)

Another problem exists where Stephan could potentially train other people Alchemy. This is solved by.

-The Gate of one's Soul
Stephan has a connection to the source of Alchemy, others do not.

I don't think it's a good idea to have Stephan go running around with these special powers.
I agree with Rizyana here.

"Hi, I'm a Pokémon trainer. What do you do?"
"I"m an alchemist from another world."
"o_O"

Good, at least some people have some common sense. I don't want something that would unbalence the RP, but at the same time it would be fun to truely be an Alchemist. It might not be completely unbalanced, but it would give him a definate edge over other trainers.

-EDIT-

By the Way Crimson, Stephan can still do that. ^^

-Spoiler Alert!-

Here is the reason why Stephan Cannot utilize Alchemy in Tohea.

In FMA, One must access the gate in one's self in order to use Alchemy. Simply put, Stephan was transfered to another plane of existance, and Stephan's Personal Gate cannot reach World War 2 on our, the real world, plane.

It is confusing at first but it is actually quite easy to understand.

What don't you understand, or what do you understand right now if that is easier. I can explain anything you need to know.

He can, he really can. I've known him long enough to know he's seen every episode of FMA and owns both games.

Not true, I missed two episodes. And there is a fighting game.

But, seriously... I can find out anything you need to know. The stuff I use for Stephan... it is based on the Anime, but with my own little twist. Also, some things are just better that way, so that an Alchemist is not too powerful.

Aw, the wonderful world of FMA. How I enjoy that anime. Thou it's a lot to take in, as long as your character isn't all powerful, I see no problem with a little Alchemy. If you ever need a partner in the Pokémon world, Samantha will always be willing. ^_~
