Alright for those of you who still use the ps2 memory cards, if the Data corruption occurs for chronicle's of the sword , simply put in a memory card that dose not have any data on it, and copy the scIII data from slot 1 to slot 2, delete your data on memory card slot one, and copy the data from slot 2 back over to slot 1, Q: Well what do you mean copy the data over from slot 1 to slot 2 then back to slot 1 A: Well, Mostly 92% of the time you will be able to access chronicles of the sword and save the data gain, with out any problems until you delete another data then you have to repeat the process. the thing i found with the ps3 ps2 virtual memory cards, that the data corruption dose not happen in chronicle's of the sword, cause i deleted some data and the data is still in 1 piece credit to personn bethhazer for this one Prequisites: - Have 2 memory cards, one for playing, one for backup. - Have a cheat device that has a memory card manager option How: - Boot the cheat device CD. - Copy all data from Memory Card 1 to Memory Card 2. - Delete all data from memory Card 1 (Format it if possible) - Copy the Soul Calibur III data first - See if your Soul Calibur III data occupied the first slot - Copy the rest of the data. - Do the same on the other memory card as you please. Q: What is a ps2 Virtual Memory card A: A ps2 virtual memory card is a chip that is in the playstation 3 that allows you to use internal memory cards, you can create as many as you want. personally ive created 2 of them for soul calibur III use, this is a good way in case you wanna make more CAS, and don't have to by any memory cards to use it to change slots, all you do is hit the home button on your ps3 controller, go to assign slots and go to any virtual memory card you have. Q: my data has a problem fixing its self A: well try the faq above for the ps2, if it dosn't work try using the virtual memory cards on the ps3, Q: but i dont own a ps3 a: well then you may have to by a memory card to use as back up storage for your data remember to back it up when ever you unlock anything, it is a good idea to always back up your data hopefully I've provided you people with some insight on the data corruption problem Faq done by Omega Zero Feel free to use this on any site but give me credit for the faq Edited by Omega Zero, Jun 16 2008, 02:12 PM.

You should add the easiest way to avoid data corruption, without PS3: Prequisites: - Have 2 memory cards, one for playing, one for backup. So you'll have a memory card in both SCIII save occupied the first slots. This is my successful setup. As you might know, as a screenshooter, I save on my Memory Card a lot while my Memory Card also contains GS2v3 cheat data. Even with this high writing rate, I never get a data corruption. |
