Welcome one and all as many of you know the effects in SCII are ambigous as hell and don't fully tell the story(effects) right, some even lie about what effect it has and others don't even tell you anything(Legendary Weapons). I have taken the liberty to deeply uncover the mysteries of each weapon so before I start with the weapons here are effects you will be seeing, be careful as it may get confusing later on down the line so check these often Written as: Regen What it means: Life restores over time Explanation: I don't think I need to explain... Written as: Sap What it means: Life drains over time Explanation: I don't think I need to explain... Written as: XX% Chip Damage What it means: Penetrates opponents defense Explanation: XX% of the damage your attack would do will still go through against a defending opponent, this is useless against enemies weilding a weapon with Deblock on it(read below) Written as: Takes XX% Chip Damage What it means: Guard is vulnerable Exlpanation: XX% of your opponents attack will go through if you were blocking their attack, this does collective damage with XX% Chip Damage Written as: 100/(XX)100 What this means: Weak defense against single strikes Explanation: The first strike of an attack will do what is in the parenthesis any other hits resulting in a combo will do damage based on the outside Example: Xianghua's AAB with the No Name will do 84,70,70 against a Talim holding Wind Guide Written as: (1XX)100/100 What this means: Strong single strikes Explanation: First hit will do more damage than the rest of a combo Written as: CSCd What this means: Constant Soul Charge damage Explanation: Soul Charge lasts longer and will continue to deal more damage till either you block, get hit or it runs out the cost though is your attacks are slower in execution unless noted about it Written as: Drain Strike What this means: Lose life with any form of strikes Explanation: Attacking wildly and missing will have you losing life, since the game bases everything on percentages there is no accurate way to measure this Written as: Leach Strike What this means: Gain life from any form of strikes Explanation: Attacking wildly and missing will have you gain life, since the game bases everything on percentages there is no accurate way to measure this Written as: Drain Hit What this means: Dealing damage to an oppnent deals damage to you Explanation: Attacks that are blocked will not have you losing life Written as: Leach Hit What this means: Dealing damage to an oppnent makes you gain life back Explanation: Attacks that are blocked will not have you gaining life Written as: Longer Reach What this means: Your weapon is longer... Explanation: Unlike SCIII where it's hard to tell if the weapon is actually longer or not(exception Han Guang) it is true here Written as: Shorter Reach What this means: Your weapon is shorter... Explanation: Unlike SCIII where's it's hard to tell if the weapon is shorter or not it is true here Written as: SCD What this means: Soul Charge increases defense Explanation: Usually when hit while Soul Charging/having Soul Charge in effect you would be dealt counter damage with this effect you will take less damage over the course of Soul Charges lasting effect(how long it last if you didn't get hit) than you should from a regular hit, though the Soul Charge animation must finish or you will be dealt counter damage Written as: SCnd What this means: Soul Charge no (extra)damage Explanation: Usually when hit while Soul Charging/having Soul Charge in effect you would be dealt counter damage with this effect you will take as much damage as you should from a regular hit, even if you are struck during Soul Charge you will take minimal damage Written as: (SC1XX)100/100 What this means: Soul Charged single strikes do more damage Explanation: This is really only here cause it is said on the weapon for whatever reason... Written as: SCLR What this means: Soul Charge Life Regain Explanation: The amount of time you go through during the Soul Charge animation will have you gain life for as long as you did it Written as: SCLD What this means: Soul Charge Life Drain Explanation: The amount of time you go through during the Soul Charge animation will have you lose life for as long as you did it, if you do a Soul Charge with low health you can lose the round Written as: SSC What it means: Speed up Soul Charge Explanation: Soul Charge animation finishes a lot quicker Written as: Deblock What this means: The wielder is unable to block attacks Explanation: You will see that you can still execute the guard animation, but when struck the attack will go through as if you weren't blocking, if you happen to be blocking when hit you will be given a small defense boost to lighten the damage which will be written down Since I don't have the Gamecube version or XBOX version I won't be including the console specific characters |

Eh, Buster... I think you shouldn't be posting that in this section, since it is the section for FAQs and Gudies for Soul Calibur 3 and not 2. This one should go in the general Soul Calibur Discussions section, don't ya think so? |

Pretty good job, Buster. Now if they had pictures to go with it, then that'd be awesome. |

"All you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to you." -Gandalf "If this be our destiny, then so be it. But let history remember, that as free men, we chose to make it so!" -King Arthur "You know how legends go, people will believe anything these days." -Eragon "The heart may be weak, and sometimes it may even give in. But I've learned that deep down, there's a light that never goes out!" -Sora "I've seen knights in armor panic at the first hint of battle. And I've seen the lowliest, unarmed squire pull a spear from his own body, to defend a dying horse. Nobility is not a birthright. It's defined by one's actions." -Robert Fitzooth of Locksley, a.k.a. Nope since there is nothing to discuss and this sub-section needs to be renamed so Perse's modification thread can be moved here EDIT: Actually why hasn't Perse's thread been moved here ?

On the second thought, they looks crap because SCII have a semi-transparent DARK BG (quite an issue for my TV card) and some weapons went out of the border  |

Updated with the Weapon Info(when you pick the weapon in Extra modes) and Weapon Gallery descriptions. These are made with people using 1024x768 resolution in mind so if you're using higher than that you will see odd line breaks. Just click the character name to open it. |
