Cheat devices modifies the game's memory temporarily, so most of the time the duration of cheats only last until the game is switched off/reseted and the cheats applied again. Thus, in most cases your game data and saves are salvaged. |

Because we're playing on addresses that does not save to the memory card, I guess it is quite safe, except the Weapon modifier main code. I'm yet to find a better code. |

Go get a codebreaker then. It's only $20 and you'll find so many other uses for it besides being able to play as Night Terror. |

As CT said, your saves and general game data is usually safe. Figure this is true 9 out of 10 times. It really depends on the code or codes being used. Sometimes a code does more than the described effect. A good example for a non-damaging code is the Human + code for Armored Core: Last Raven. Human + is a secret ability that is SUPPOSED to be completely disabled for the players(to many AC fans dismay). However, as it is not savable, aka only works when you use your cheat device and enable the code(aka turn it on) the code does not affect any other data, than to turn the ability on for the players. However, some games, like WWE Smackdown vs RAW 2007, for example, have "play as X NPC" codes. While these characters are unlocked and selectable, a few of them freeze the game, and if you try to save your game while these characters are enabled, it can corrupt your save data. The above two are just examples of both extremes - good and bad. However, this is not always the case. My personal advice to anyone is that if you use ANY codes, copy your save data to a second memory card. This way, if you should wind up with corrupted save data, you still have your original stuff on a second memory card. Also, make a note of which codes cause lockups and/or save data corruption. I don't know how to remove corrupted data from a memory card however - sorry. Perhaps someone here DOES know and can provide some notes for this? |

You just need the right code, obviously. Check on the initial page of this thread. |

Then try to learn. If you aren't able to enter code into the codebreaker, then I can do nothing to help you. |

You can brush up on entering codes manually on Codebreaker here: http://www.herrvillain.com/codebreaker/enteringcodes.htm Remember that an enable code (referred to as Master Code or (M)) is a mandatory entry before any actual cheat codes entry. |

dont misunderstand me, i know how to enter codes manually. its the talk of joker codes, weapon modifiers, and disablers that is confusing me. ive only used codes that came with my codebreaker or ones i got off the codebreaker website. what i meant was ive never had experience using hacked codes. |

Codebreaker and Gameshark has different algorithms. Assuming you have CB v7, you'll need to find a mastercode that works with raw codes. All codes on the first post is a raw code. If you've got one, I can continue to tell you more. |

Using user created codes aren't different opposed to using official codes, you'll still enter the codes in the same manner. A Joker code is simply a code that provides the address of where the game saves the joyspad state(s) in memory. This can be used to "map" codes to special hotkeys on the controller. In other words, they allow you to activate and deactive cheats during gameplay by inputting certain controller commands (ex. pressing L1+R2 to activate one hit kills and pressing L1+Select to disable it). Weapon modifiers codes are self explanitory -- they simply modify the target character's weapon. Disablers allows you to disable active codes so that they don't interfere with other codes or allow you to replace a code with another when normally you wouldn't be able to. This is significant when you're using the moveset modifiers for example: when you switch to a different character's moveset, you'll need to disable the current moveset modifier code (reload the normal moveset) in order to switch to a new moveset. Here's a Master Code that should work with raw codes on any version of CB: (M) F0422080 00422083 |

Is that a Mempcy +3? Well I hope it works with CB, because Mempcy +3 does not work with GS. |

Also, kristof, keep this in mind about hacked codes - RAW format codes(usually referred to as RAW or RAW codes) work fine with codebreaker, but you can NOT use them with "official" CB codes. The reason for this is most hacked codes are not "encryped" and you can not use encrypted codes with un-encrypted ones. I THINK it's a kind of security measure, but I'm not sure. I DO have a code that is supposed to allow the use of encrpyted and un-encrypted codes simultaniously. However, I do not have it in front of me. I acquired the code from the Codemasters Project. I don't recall the website address off the top of my head - you'll have to Google it. Most of the links lead to German-language sites, but the boards are in English. They are your best bet for hacked codes. They also convert codes from other formats. They can explain more over there. |
