Soul Calibur: The Movie (or Soul Calibur: Endgame) is a movie adaptation of Namco's Soul Calibur video game series. According to the teaser website, the movie seems to be scheduled to come out on some undisclosed date in 2007, although this has yet to be verified.

Warren Zide's Anthem Pictures has acquired the rights to adapt the game to film. It has been stated that the game's story "revolves around two warriors who are chosen by Shaolin monks to recover and destroy a powerful sword that has fallen into the hands of an evil prince who plans to use it to open the gates of hell and destroy the world."

However, other than the copyrights, it provides no further information.
Had this for quite a while but kept forgetting to post it...anyone still want to see?

Where did you get this information? The story seems okay to Soul Calibur, since there are Shaolin Warriors, evil swords, evil princes and others in SC worlds.

Monks, princes...only two characters? Are they canon or new creations? And if so, what happens to the others? All those elements seem OK, but when moviemakers get their grubby hands on them (examples from Mario: Goombas are now pin-headed giants, Koopa's Gordon Gecko, Bowser's a...mushrom (?!)), things tend to turn into [CENSORED].

Hmmm... I've read few rumours about the movie on the internet, and as far as I've read, the story will have no big relations to the games.

I feel about this movie, as I feel about the upcoming Mortal Kombat: Devastation; With the technology of today they can really make these movies incredible good. But the story need to be great enough for us to think of them as video game adaptions and not cheap movies. We can all just hope they'll make a great movie.
