Sauron asks...![]() I don't like it myself, but fuck, sometimes it has to be done. And I for one have no problem admitting that I do it. You might be asking yourself right now "Does she really?". Fuck yeah! Especially on Chronicals Of The fucking Sword! That damn game will make anyone insane if you try to strictly play it by the book. Now, unless you cross the line from casual play to obsession, and start playing it in every possible minute like Jukain, whether it be at the dinner table, in your sleep, or even in the bathroom, there's no way you'll get good enough to handle anything without resulting to plan B. I mean, hell... You'd have to play it about as often as you breath. So I say big fucking deal. I cheap it up a knotch when I have to. I don't like getting raped. And when it happens, I fuck those bastards up the ass! I don't believe in abussing it. But I do believe in fair play. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to even the odds. So, do I support pulling out the trump card when needed?

Hey, I'm not that obsessed. I've only really played SC III 3 times in the last month... I used to be really addicted to CotS, but I don't play SC III near as much as I used to. If you apply the right combos in the right order at the right time, Anti-AI moves are NEVER needed, especially not on CotS... CotS difficulty is NOTHING compared to some fighters on Extremely Hard and beyond. However, I will say I love the Fuck Yeah! .gif of yours. |

Here's the thing, though. Not to go against you, but not everyone knows how to play competitively. Some people don't want to spend several hours just to perfect a character on a game they might not even be planning on doing majorly. That's what those moves are for. For the people who don't wanna play competitively and just play for fun. Of course, I do wonder why the enemy is too stupid to be able to block those attacks when I do all the time. Oh, and FYI, I don't use those moves all the time. The last time I remember using them majorly was the first time I fought Strife, when he kicked my ass about 15-20 times, which was only because he was really pissing me off and I didn't feel like getting so worked up at a game. And the first time I fought Strife was a LONG time ago. |

When a man lies, he murders some part of the world. These are the pale deaths which men miscall their lives. All this, I cannot bear to witness any longer. Cannot the kingdom of salvation take me home? | |

Easier said than done. And you're exactly right, SuperBeast. You have the right idea. The main idea is to have fun. And if the game is being an asshole by being pretty much unbeatable, fuck with it right back. Instead of playing the same jerkoff over and over to the point that you want throw something across the room, just use plan B... fuck 'em up any way you can! I'm not suggesting I'm without skill. I'm the best among my group of friends who play the game. But fuck..me... Some of the fights in the game are ridiculously difficult. I'm telling you, the game designers are the ones who are evil! |

Well I'm not saying the developers didn't make the AI a bit over the top, but you shouldn't HAVE to resort to Anti-AI moves to win. To Beast, Strife is a fuckin' pushover, man. |

I thought you were gonna say "Gameshark" at first. <.<... Perhaps THE only way I could hope to beat Strife....Friggin pretty-boy prick and his health-sapping tactics... It wouldn't be so bad if the difficulty was EVEN...I can't even count how many times I'd practically breeze through several fights, and then get beaten down by a suddenly beefed-up AI. Sure, it's a great game and all, but would it have killed Namco to adjust the difficulty for us mere mortals? << |

Exactly. You shouldn't have to, but unfortunately, with the way the game difficulty was designed in this game, you HAVE to. It's one SoulCalibur III's few flaws.
Well said, my friend. The game is bloody ridiculous because of it. I mean, honestly... No one wants to do the same retarded dance over and over with some dick who keeps fucking you up the ass. People are going to want to move the fuck on! Really, it's complete horseshit. I've had the game for a while now, and I still can't complete some of the missions on NORMAL. How fucked up is that?? I can't even begin to imagine what kind of bullcrap the harder modes are. It's an absolute fuck up on Namco's behalf. Chances are I'll get frustrated and bored with the game long before I'll ever complete everything the game has to offer. |

Haha, I find myself slightly amused as well as in agreement. Me, however, I have my own CotS playing style, it's called "One Man Army." It's where I select a full team, but one character defeats every single enemy there is, all by themselves, and I'm usually using an Anti-AI move to do it.
I had my Samurai Excel (Yes from Excel Saga) and she'd use <-K and then hold B for that unblockable attack with Soul of Yoshimitsu. So in other words, she'd kick, and even if the enemy blocked that, they'd just stand there and watch, trying to block a move they never could, and if that didn't work, I used Katana and B+K and rammed their butts right off the freaking stage. My results? Excel is level 88 with 8 losses and 244 wins. Only 244 enemies in all 20 chronicles! One of the few times I felt I really had some skill was when I beat the Final Battle Mission on Hard. I took out Night Terror with my Ninja Sailor Venus and I was using Chains of Hades. Venus Love me Chain!
Oh, and Abelia is my favorite bonus character.
