I thought his voice matched pretty well, though he does have an ugly habit of emphasizing the wrong words. I haven't tried the Japanese voices yet. Most of the English ones seem alright to me this time, unlike 2. Nightmare and Talim are the worst ones. |

Why is Xianghua the only character in the series with the same voice actor for every game she's been in? Is it difficult to keep consistent voice actors for a fighting game series? They seemed to have done it very well with every other video game genre. Oh, and Siegfried's English VA is spot on. "Sinners need no mercy...or sympathy." However, Setsuka EVA needs polishing, but the right emotion is still there. Everyone else is fine. I don't know why you complain about Nightmare's new EVA. I enjoy, even if I so prefer his SCII voice and look like most other people. My complaint is that Arthur needs a custom VA! Grr...I like his character, he needs more props. |

What's wrong with the english voice actors? I really don't care about how they sound, but if I had to chose...I like Seung-mina's voice the best and hate Rock's voice the most

The English voices are all right, except YM1's lisp gets on my nerves sometimes. "Lethhh thhhettle thittth!" And plus: "Soul Calibur....FREE!" Yeah. And Girl 2 makes weird noises sometimes.... |

My opinions have changed a bit, I've been playing on English for the past two months. Overall, I like the English voice acting of almost everyone now, just a few I can't stand. It's easier, because I can understand my CaS telling the enemy to die and suffer. I give English a 8/10. The Japanese voice acting is much more professionally done, and although I don't really use it much anymore (unless I'm fighting Xianghua), I give it a perfect 10/10.

Having tried the Japanese voice actors... I honestly didn't like them at all. Maybe Japanese sentences are constructed differently or whatever, but it seemed to me like nobody had any emotion. And Siegfried... Freakin' ick. I'll stick with English. |

Yeah, what is it with Namco and their constistency to make Siegfried/Nightmare sound like a total retard? He's a guy with a huge sword. I don't want him to make Link-esque squealing noises when he kicks somebody. |

Well you know, Link's voice actor from Soul Calibur II *did* do Siegfried's voice in Soul Calibur III.

Only reason I've got it set to English is Girl 1 Evil/Calm. Absolutely LOVE that voice. Can't decide if it's sexily cute or cutily sexy. "How absolutely laughable." Ahh...

I'm currently taking Japanese III at my high school, so I prefer to listen and try to understand the language I'm tackling. The english voices just gets on my nerves, especially like everyone stated, Rock and Xianghua!! >.< |
