Nice design, but you will have a hell of a time refurbing them. The seller is underestimating the time or cost involved in getting them sorted, Mercedes polished alloys really are terribly hard work. They will either need a lot of abrasive work to prep for paint, or the faces will need to be fully re-Diamond-Cut by a specialist. Also, the seller might have the size incorrect. From a few searches, the two sizes that wheel came in were 16x7.5 ET42 and 17x8 ET38 ![]() |

Yeah am aware of the hassle with refurb etc but just wonder how a set of 17's would look with some nicely profiled tyre to suit the 2.6 which has a 40mm drop? Plus I don't belive I have seen anyone fit these to a 190E yet and they are probably the closest design for new mercs that hark back to the old days in my mind

Yup, they're pretty lovely. I prefer them painted (as in the pic I posted), to polished. |
