What do you need to know Robert?
It has a feed from the X11 diagnostic socket and an earth thats it.
The feed comes from the philips screw connection on the side of the X11 Diag socket.

Thanks - I've just got Bertha back from stage 1 of the EFi and standalone set up and the tacho doesn't work. The loom recieved work, obviously. It's not a cockup but the poor chap was under time pressure (i.e. me) and was a bit rushed. I'm no sparks myself, so do you have a picture which even I could follow?

Oh my guess was correct Robert. you were doing the EFI.
Because I am looking for the same thing as you do, but before striping everything off.
I was thinking to leave the wiring and socket in tact and just plug the pin going to Tacho with the Tacho output from ECU or EDIS in my case.

The wiring though would be a bit messy, and may introduce some electrical noise to the signal going to tacho.

Still waiting some experts' input on this.

Have you ditched the EZL/TSZ ignition?
If so this is where the tach signal originates.
The Unit generates the signal from the inputs from the crank sensor and snds it out to common TD output(the screw connection). If the ignition has gone you will need to connect the signal wire to the TD output from the new ECU.
