Sacco boards are different colour in the one on the MB stand. Besides I think Neil takes a much better photograph. He can snap my cars anytime. Edited by aemt, Wed Nov 4, 2009 10:35 am.

I suppose condition for age and colour preference will come into it too. Still..... it's not as if it's a competition with a valuable prize at stake. Surely it's more just a bit of fun. If it was supposed to be taken seriously, or I thought anyone might get offended in any way, I wouldn't have thrown my hat in the ring. |

So long as 8 holes are regarded as 'period', what about Derin, Surreyboy & Algord, all have nice original examples!! Surprising how few unmolested 190's there are on the site, or at least belonging to regular posters who are prepared to put them forward!!!! |

Mate, get over it. Your starting to sound like a little spoilt child who can't get his own way. Why is this so important to you? If i recall correctly, you were one of those who complained that only modded and 16v cars always win. So to accommodate the more standard cars and try and give a more open spread of cars being shown on the front page, we thought it would be a good idea to have one month out of the twelve for standard cars only. That's ONE month out of the twelve. But you still complain! I am not wanting to fall out with you here but you seriously have to stop acting so childish by filling this months competition thread with such rubbish. You are ruining it for everyone else. Is that your intention? It's not like there is any prize money, or anything at stake. It's simply an innocent 190 of the month competition, held just for the fun of it. So please stop now. Stu |

none of these cars are original ... all have modified tyres, bulbs, oil, petrol, filters, wax, polish, brake pads, Cats, Bum fluff and lost coins down the back seat

Oooo dear, all getting a bit 'bitchy' this month, people really don't like change!!  I personally thought it was a great idea, and was looking forward to seeing just std 190's with no kits etc. for a change!! If i could find a way of copying Derins pics, i'd nominate him! But i can't right click to 'save as', some help please admin!  |

Yea some of the comments this month are a bit petty, maybe subtle mods should have been allowed. The kind that you wouldn't notice unless your a 190 enthusiast (clear indicators, painted grill, period alloys that sort of thing). I was planning on entering mine this month but I dont think I would get away with it

Well so far it looks like Twopointsix, Joy, Tiff and Michael. Surely there must be more standard cars out there. Lets enter into the spirit of this and give the standard cars a good run for one month out of twelve.

I thought the rules were only the owner could nominate their car as we kept ending up with too many cars or was that just pie in the sky stuff? I almost feel like people are on the hunt for a descent standard 190 to make up the numbers

It has already been car of the month once this year. Got to give the other owners a chance. Besides it would be nice to see what other standard cars there are around after 16 plus years.  I also think Joy would give me a hard time as she has entered her 2.3 sportline. Very rare beast indeed.

I fear this may be the last 190 OTM we do as our efforts are undoubtedly not appreciated. I was unaware that we had so many people who are intent on spoiling things for others. Yep I think it is a great thing for the forum. I thought the negativity was just a blip which we had got over. We do not all have to agree on everything, but there is no point rubbishing everything we do not personally agree with. I for one really appreciate what the mods and admins do and applaud their efforts in running one of the best forums out there. |

i think it is a good idea too.... sometimes the modified cars overshadow the standard ones, so this time, they will be recognised for what they are.... original, and in some ways.... original is best. it is only one month of the year...... so that means that the other 11 months of the year EVERYONES car can be submitted and voted for..... hats off to ya guys.
