Seen them on Ebay and they are refurbished as well. Want to know if it would fit my car. They are 15 hole allies from a W124 with 205-65-15 tyres. |

Be good for you to link them in your thread, but generally yes a set of W124 15-holes will fit the car. The 205/65/15 tyres will be too big though, you should ideally have 185/65/15, 195/60/15 or 205/55/15s. |

Hi, I have the same wheels on my car, they fit fine and really suit the car too.... As Neil says, 205s are a bit big for the rim tbh, mine run with 195/60s at the back and 185/60s at the front, btw my car has just been lowered -40mm and I have no issues regarding clearince/rubbing etc, hope this helps...good luck! Think you might have clearance issues with 26" wheels!!!! I have 205/60 x 15 on mine, albeit with an offset of ET37!! |

D Merc- I want to lower my car as well. How did you get around this and what did it cost. Did you have to change the Springs and Shocks or did you manage to get away by changing just the springs. Cheers |

Hi PWBADI, For lowering I purchased GSF -40mm springs (£70) and got my local mechanic to fit them for £80....dropping by 40mm means that you won't need to replace the shocks (if they are in good condition that is). The drop is noticable and the handling/cornering is so much better. If you're handy with the spanners you could do the spring swap yourself (do not use regular spring clamps though), otherwise anything between £80-£150 would see them fitted IMO...my mechanic dropped the lower arms and my old springs just fell out. I will eventually be going la bit lower (maybe -50/60mm), after I get some Bilstien sport shocks and replace all bushes...but for now a -40mm drop is a great 'phase 1' modification...I think that all 190E owners should go for a 40mm drop...it looks like a 'factory' drop if you know what I mean...the single best improvement I've made to my car so far...go for it and goo luck!
