i was wondering if you could retro fit abs is it even worth the hassle???`

I suppose you will need to find a donor car and transfer all the brake lines, wiring loom in engine bay including OVP and computer, and wiring loom for the ABS light in the instrument panel. It is really good to have ABS especially with icy roads. ABS is not good at heavy snow when snow is still soft, and on gravel road surfaces. I can tell from experience, that it keeps the car straight on the road if wheels have different levels of traction. i.e.: two wheels on tarmac and two on ice. |

any idea what is involved might be the sort of thing to play with over the winter gather the bits and then fit as and when i get time kinda like cruise control |

you would have to change a lot of parts including the rear diff as thats where the sensor is for the rear wheels, both front hubs and all the brake lines |
