Hi Guys,
the vertical control lever of my r/hand air vent, next to the speedo, has come adrift and fallen inside the dash!!,the vent itself pulls out but the damaged part in which the lever operates is of course part of the dash. Without removing the complete dash ,is there any way of repairing it? :-/
Gordon.

Weve changed 49 56 and 59 without removing the dash board!

Hi Ben?,
Part 56 is the part that has lost its lever, i contacted Retro Dave, of the Mercedes Benz Club, (he strips mercs) and he advised me that that part is an integrel part of the dash?and the whole dash has to come out,, i need to obtain part 56 if this part is available, and the HOW TO REMOVE & FIX, instructions, thank you for the help and for any further help you can give me,
Regards,
Gordon.

hi part 56 comes out separate there are 4 clips that push out to hold it into the dash the bottom 2 you can slide a screw driver underneath and wedge up the top 2 take a little playing to pull down then the whole thing should come out they arent that expensive from mb fro the whole thing as they often break

they are kinda spring loaded in that they want to be in the position to hold the trim in place if you know what i mean when you have it out you might be able to to remove the trim to stick on another one
