I have found myself stuck when trying to remove one of my front door cards. I can't seem to pull off the headrest adjuster because I want to make sure i won't break it, and I can't get the arm from the door handle off the actual handle. I'm sorry for any confusion, but here's a pic.![]() Any suggestions? |

I can't help with the headrest knob. I've never taken off a door card that had that feature. I know on the w126 they just pull off (knobs that is )The lever will unhook from the rod as you move the whole black plastic surround backwards. Push it forwards first, then pull towards yourself, then back to unhook. Hope this helps. Al |

Trust me just pull it off it might be a little stiff. Use your fingers or pliers wraped in cloth.

The Knob will pull off, just like the other ones. After the face comes off, there are to screws, undo them and remove the switch, then you can slide the closer cap forward and out. If this is the first time you've taken a door card off, then make sure you lift it up, don't pull it outwards. http://s14.zetaboards.com/mercedes_190_club/topic/226321/1/ Edited by MICHAEL, Tue Oct 13, 2009 6:10 pm.

I just went outside and snapped these for you. Hope they help. After you have removed the seat control switches facia thingy, the door lever and surround come off like this (Or they do on a lesser model without such luxury ) You have to remove the 10mm bolt first, then push forward, pull and push back. Pictures describe better:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Al |

There's a plastic circlip on the biggest mount for the electric seat switches. Remove that and then the black trim behind the switches Nick Froome www.w124.co.uk |
