How feasible is it to switch LHD to RHD; (for a regular 190, not an Evo)

OK - you'd need an RHD car for donor parts, and you'd need to move steering wheel, dash and pedals over. Plus there's whatever under-bonnet rejigging that needs to be done (exhaust manifold, I gather, etc).

Is it a matter of parts + £500's worth of labour? Or £1000 labour? More?

Has anyone done this? I went through all the pages in this topic and there was no previous thread as far as I can see. I'm sure someone must have thought about doing it to make an RHD Evo (and then discounted the idea because of the loss of value), but is it feasible for a M102/M103 190?

The battery and ecus etc are all swopped over to the other side , and everything on the drivers side goes to the passenger side , wing mirrors too , dunno if the axle is different ?

Thats just the start.....

Is this just a creative exercise? Or are you wondering because you have/or are considering buying a left hooker?

Just so that we can get it in context you know. :)

There is quite a lot that's for sure. But if you need any front end parts then i have a car sitting there.

Yes, I'm wondering with regard to a fairly high-spec M103 190. See what happens when you spend too much time on www.mobile.de...

I also have an RHD 190 standing by as potential donor, which is what set me thinking.

Hmmm... just spoken to UKmerctechie, and it appears that it's not economically feasible.

So Plan B is to petition HMG to switch over to driving on the right, like Sweden did all those years ago...
