anyone know who or where to go to dispose of a an old cat i remember somewhere that you could get money for them but i havent got a clue as to where to start looking or how much you would get or should i just chuck it in the skip

I think your local scrappy will pay you something for it,maybe £40ish.

Don't bin it, Like 1st merc says take it down to your local main scrap yard or metal dealers!

Some are worth nothing and some are worth up to £40, the orginal cats are the ones worth the money.

cheers ill take a run down hay if i can get £10 i would be happy its a bit rusted but im sure it wont be too much of a prob

Most veterinary surgeries can perform a euthanasia and disposal service, although there will be a charge. I don't think they will pay you for the animal.

If there is a PDSA near you, they may be able to do it free. If you like they will give you the ashes back in a cardboard box.

I wouldn't recommend throwing the animal in a skip. You will be prosecuted by the RSPCA.
