Hi Guys. I am now the proud owner of this 2.5 190d

Posted Image

Since a teenager my car history is pretty vast; main ones being XR2s 4 x Astra GTE 16v, Opel Manta with throttle bodied 20XE (member of MIGweb), and then I found the joys of waste veg oil, and built myself what is now a pretty sophisticated filtering setup. Got interested in PSA diesels-ran a modified 306 on 100% WVO for 20k miles. Am also on vegetableoildiesel.co.uk

Have been looking for a 190d for quite a while when this turned up. It is exactly what I have been after; nice colour, 2.5ltr. manual. relatively low mileage, full electric pack-I had to have it!

Intentions are to fit 17s and maybe leather interior, and of course run it on WVO.

So a steep 190 learning curve ensues, hopefully with help of this forum

Welcome mate!

That is a very nice colour, awesome colour too. There are a few members that are running vegetable oil so a vast amount of information will be available to you.

Enjoy!

Now that is interesting. I'll take a look at their kit if they have a website?

Hi mate, welcome to the forum. The 2.5 is a lovely machine, loving the colour of yours.

I can often be found covered in veg myself, along with my 190 I run a 300td wagon. Always happy to help and to learn from others.

Iggy, any idea of price on that turbo ? If they can do a 2.5 they can do my 3.0.

I'd love a 300td wagon too; that's the problem with the 190, it's not exactly the most practical of cars in terms of load carrying :-(

I dunno, if you try hard enough you can fit an awful lot in a 190 !!! Dunno if you saw my first trip, I know it was posted over at the veg forum. But yeah, that is the main reason I had to go for a td, its basically a fat 190 estate :) Very similar mechanicals.

oops, hope I dont get banned for pushing the w124s :)
