Hi All As above really, i've also read the sticky which confirmed i have all the bits in the correct order. I just cannot get this to go back together. The bit thats giving me the grief is the disc spring pair that loads the side slop. Hope that makes sense. Just cannot get the main shift bar all the way home. Is there a method to this that i am unaware of or is it pure luck. I have a steel bar thats holding the three arms in alignment but thats not helping . All ideas gratefully recieved. |

Oohhh, I just put one together not too long ago. I will try to explain what I did. -First get all the rods in order, and the washers (2 flat washers on the outside, 2 spring washers on the inside, convex facing toward eachother.) -Place the two clear plastic pieces in their place on the sides of the housing (it will help to grease them on to stay in place, same with all the other pieces). -Then gather the shift rods in one hand, and the bundle of washers in the other, and roughly fit them in the housing. -Make the centering adjustments of the washers using a flat head screwdriver until it everything seems pretty concentric. Then guide in the shaft, moving the rods accordingly allow it to fit through. It will take a few tries but just be patient, it will eventually all line up. Hope it helps. |

One more suggestion: Find a wood dowel or screw driver handle or whatever with the same diameter as the main shift rod and use it to get all the washers/levers, etc. lined up before feeding in the main shift rod itself. bobf. |
