Hi all, Unfortunately my life is running a week too late to have had the chance to snap up Tim's silver 1.8 that just sold, but I'm on the lookout for something around the same money, so if anyone knows of a suitable car please give me a shout! I'm based in London but am willing to travel for the right car. It has to be a manual 1.8 (preferably black or silver) as it needs to be insurance-friendly for learners - my wife let her non-UK driving license expire before converting it to a UK one and so has to start from scratch again in the UK... Oh, and while I'm here, I should add that one of my all-time favourite cars was a 190e which was for sale about 8 years ago in a classic car mag, which had a 5L V8 conversion from... ahhh, not AMG or Brabus... Carlsson? Standard bodywork, lowered, manual. I so wish I had been in the market for a car at the time. Does anyone know of any V8 190's that still around? Cheers, Brad |

IIRC a 1.8 is Group 12 and a 2.0 is 13. Really, the price difference between the two groups is a couple of quid. |

Ah, I thought I had seen that the 2.0 was group 15 (which seems ridiculous now that I think about it - maybe that is the for the 2.6). |
