An Ideal way to transport the smaller members of your family The Mercedes 190 , Morris Minor standoff lasted a while. The Dukes of Swansea were even there I quite liked this nice unmolested XR2 My Mum had one of these in White, actually quite fun cars I was standing next to a dwarf when I took this pic, thats his camera phone, who would have thought a DeTomso Pantera and a Midget in the same place, the midget was a nice chap. My own camera (such a clever bargain 6 months ago, now a bit ineffective) only managed to take two. It was a brilliant few hours. About 800 cars there, nine of them ours. Very laid-back and friendly, good weather, NO LITTER. It really couldn't have been nicer. Highlights - four vintage Bentleys, two amazing Lagondas - a brilliant time-warp 220SE and what seemed like 200 assorted MGs, Triumphs and more Minis than I could count. Car of the show for me was a really used, grubby, tatty Aston DB 2/4. But as Jeremy said (and this is the point of these things): "I cannot imagine why anyone would want to restore a Vauxhall Velox, but I'm really glad they do..." We must, more of us, go again. Serial victim... Posts: 6,875 Group: Members Member #1,403 Joined: June 13, 2007	It certainly was and the best thing was it's accessibility; five minutes (and signposted) from J5 on the M5. Piece of cake to get to and an utterly great bunch of people - some of whom, I suspect, live for it. Example: There was a car there which I thought I knew - a 1960-something Mini Cooper with a fibreglass Ogle-designed body. I'd known this car far ages. I'd briefly owned it, actually (but in those days, the documentary requirements were a little slacker than they are now and took weeks to come through, so by the time I decided that this was not for me, the matter was referred back and my name never appeared on the Logboog). I got my money back from the dealer, and that was that. But I can distinctly recall having had 'a significant moment' in that car. Natch, I couldn't bring myself to tell the optimistic old codger who now owned the car that my DNA was in the upholstery, particularly because he was stone deaf. Obviously, I couldn't shout. I just wished I could have stayed longer but the small one was becoming a handfull. It was great going towards the site, I followed a Jeson Intercepor and behind me was a Super 7, Ferrari and a new Aston Martin rag top. Edited by Rich27, Sun Sep 6, 2009 3:50 pm.

I had a chat with the organiser before we left who was pleased we had been able to attend. He had made sure we had enough room for all our cars together( which was not easy given the amount of people who attended.) I suggested we would like to return next year with more members attending and he said we would be made welcome. This place really is accessible, as Robert has already pointed out, to a large number of members. We had an amazing day and I cannot wait for next year. Hopefully more members will join us at a superb late summer venue where the star certainly is the car. To all those who did attend thank you for coming; it was great meeting you all - some for the first time. No doubt more pictures will appear in due course.

Good to put some faces to the names at last. Was expecting at least one one weirdo to turn up but I guess that means it must have been me! Will def go again next year but maybe camp out in the pub car park the night before.

There used to be a Daimler Dart flying around Sheffield around 10 years or so ago that looked exactly like the one in the first pic God i wish id gone. Such a fantastic array of cars on show. I have never seen a line up of 190s at a classic car show. Ours were probably the youngest Marque on show and from the comments I heard no-one seemed to think that they were out of place there. So full marks to the organisers for letting us into the display area rather than the visitor car park.
