ok so my luck is continuing my exhaust has started to blow and the cops have already pulled me for it so thought pop in to kwick-fit on my way home just to get it looked at to see what the problem is. They very kindly said i needed £240 worth of exhaust as it is blowing at the joint of the front pipe and the centre section so need to replace them both. At the min im not really in any situation to spend that sort of money so looks like im gona have to do it myself so how hard is it gona be ive done a back box before and that wasnt to bad. Where is the best place to get a cheap set of pipes to get me back on the road quick

You could try here, it shouldn`t be to difficult to fit a new one, removing the old one might take a bit longer though, what with rusted nuts etc. http://www.onlineautomotive.co.uk/search_results.php?search_type=P&se_pc_id=1&se_sc_id=5&se_ft_id=1&se_ma_id=42&se_mo_id=544&se_es_id=23&se_yr_id=41 Ian |

Got the rear one from e-bay some time last year. for a 2 year warranty part I paid £37.00. Middle section was at the same price. I dont know for the front but it shouldn't be too expensive from e-bay. |

Alan, Halfords do a number of exhaust repair products, putty, bandage etc. and all very cheap. How about a quick temp fix to tide you over so that you can source a cheap exhaust from Ebay, or wherever ? Mike. |
