Do you think crematoriums should be able to pipe their heat into the local grid? In other words, commercialising waste heat? Or would you rather Granny just burnt away with no, er, after-burn benefit? Apparently crems in Denmark want to recycle their “waste heat” by distributing it into local heating systems. I think it's a very good idea. As the article says, coffins gradually release energy into the soil, eventually perking up the plant life.

Excellent idea. I wonder how they will calculate the fuel usage so they can charge you, Kilostiff/hours?
