I'd seen the full red ones too, but decided they didn't 'work' with the blue, hence the Poll selection been limited to my two options, and remaining 'stock'.

Please do look at the car and visualize the overall effect.

As soon as some one can photoshop the requested images, it will become easier to make a decision. (I hope) :D

As the car looks quite standard as is I wouldn't change them...if you definitely are then clear as they'd go with your front indicators best.

If you want to improve the looks of the rear end consider getting rid of the tow bar?!?!

Hi Moomy, my 190 isn't 355, but 348 which is not quite so 'electric' as yours.

Working on a strict budget (not helped by the fact I've just been made redundant), my plans are to replace the frontscreen (chipped to blazes) and attend to as much of the paintwork and little dings as and when finances allow. Richy190E has a rear spoiler that I am seriously considering, but if I do that then the badges have to come off the bootlid.

Every now and then, I bring a 'looker' item forward to help cheer me on my way to my goal, as not everything I have on the list to do has a visual result. The general approach for the 190 is one of understated smart!! To try to confuse, to give the impression it might be stock, but it might not be...if you know what I mean.

The tow bar is reserved for Phil (Skutter) as and when he wants it, but if Phil changes his mind it'll appear on eBay. I am going to try and remove it soon because I agree with you about the rear appearance been compromised by it. Fortunately whoever fitted it did not cut the bumper skirt...phew!

Thanks, for the comments so far everyone...

Don't forget, if some one could photoshop the lenses for me I'd be very grateful. :)

i stand corrected ;)

i see what you are trying to do with the subtle touches, tbh im not sure about the spoiler you could go for the smooth look that will keep people guessing ie.. removing badges ect

Removing the badges is fine (and possible) but as soon as they look inside and see the automatic selector, they'll laugh!! :D

I used to have a performance car...getting it started, what a PERFORMANCE!

Mind you when it was running it had hidden potential, I say hidden, because I never bloody found it!! ;)

When your over next mike we can do a few bits with the car. Ie, de-towbar it, debadge and see how you like the spoiler effect. If you dont like it you leave it here...if you do then it can be resprayed and couriered :) all on the comfort of my new two post ramp!

Hey Mike, clear rear's will look good as ur 190 is finished in light blue, also they will match your front and side repeaters....
Normally my cossie has red tinted lenses on back, I love that U.S spec thing where the indicaters flash red.

Your car m8, nice to get opinion's but go with what your happy with.

Thanks chaps, although a disappointing result on the 'photoshop image' front ^o) , but the results of the Poll gave me a useful insight into your thoughts about a 'stock' appearance :D . To those of you who took the time to help, I am grateful. :)

your thoughts about a 'stock' appearance :D .
Yes Mike, i think stock is the way to go!

Even if your car wasnt stock, i personally am not a huge fan of the smoked or clear rear lenses on the 190's, no matter what other modifications there are on the car.

Having said that i can see why people may like them!

I would say stock or lightly smoked, I dont have time to fire up photoshop at the moment I am afraid. Clear really changes the look and unless your heading in that direction I think it will look out of place.

I would get a can of 'savage' brand black tint spray, and just subtly darken them bit by bit. I wouldnt go far though, your colour would look better subtle. Perhaps do the front indicators very slightly, just so they match the headlights... just a thought.

Dale, I like...but not sure the local Constabulary will... ;) (being monochrome, I mean)

I think I have enough help and opinions now to make a decision. ;)

Wifey, says I can spend a little of my redundancy money on the 190 (she still doesn't like it :$ ) but I will probably make a purchase soon, then I will post a photo of the result.

Many thanks to all who participated in the Poll. It was a bit of fun wasn't it? :D

Thanks again Dale.
