hey lads Was delighted when my package arrived with my new 18" AMG monoblock reps on monday. Had to wait until today to fit them to my 85 2.3 16V Bad news this morning when they went on Tried only one on the front right...Dropped the jack and the wheel really swallowed in the arch I must say! Then looked more closely....the tyre (which is a 225/40 18) was alomost touching the front bumper at the front and at the rear by the wing pod/moulding it would touch the plastic when the wheel was turned. Now I took this wheel straight off as I had to start work but il try them all again tomorrow. It looks spectacular but theres no way it would be driveable as it is. What are my options? Return the wheels? (hopefully they will take them back as they didnt fit) Get 17's (want 18's though!!) Flare arches and trim plactics? All input and advice apperecated. Kieran |

18's will fit, you just need 225/35-18 instead. The front bumper can be adjusted. I put almost 10 mm's of washers behind the bolt supporting the fender and bumper, pushing them both 10 mm away from the wheel. And moved the front bumper a bit forward... |

lowered 16vs are usualy lower than lwoered 8vs (atleast mine is by quite a bit!) and i had some minor issues with my 18s on the 8v. you MAY need to shave away a little of the front bumper and you will 100% need to roll/flare the rear arches i rolled/flared all 4 of my arches for 17s and they fit perfect, very very close but no rubbing as of yet .... basically.. yes they will fit with some work, if you jsut wanna throw em on and hope.. i dont think its gonna happen

I had no problems with my old 225/35-18's. Mine was on sportline springs with the lowest pads and 1½ ring cut off. It was pretty low... 215/35-18 should be no problem then. And you will get much more feel of the road
