Hello I have a problem, my vents arent working, the fuses are OK, I noticed that maybe the problem is in the ignition barrel, because somtimes they start to blow when I shake the key a litle in it, but a few second latter they stop again. What sould I do?

Do you mean that the heater fan is intermittent? Take the fuse out and re-seat it. .That has cured it on all 4 190's I have owned.. I hope it's that simple for you . ![]() Al |

Hello and welcome mate. This could be the conection to the back of the ignition barrel that has come loose. Its a big round black connector. I had a similar issue with my 2.6 after i replaced the ignition barrel. |

I would unscrew the trim above the driver's knees, remove, lay on my back, find the connector and wiggle it. Perhaps it just needs re connecting properly? If the barrel needs taking out, this has been a tit the lat 2 times i've had to do it. Al |

You need to remove the panel under the steering wheel, the one that is above the pedals. I think its 4 or 5 screws and it will drop down. You should then be able to get your hand up to feel around the back of the ignition barrel. You should be able to feel the connector and push it on if it has come loose. I'm moving this to the correct section Stu Edited by stwat, Mon Jun 29, 2009 9:31 pm.

Problem solved The connector on the back of the ignition barrel was OK I put in new fuses, it helped, the vent started to work until I started the car. After I start the car they stop to work. The fix of this problem is that I have to turn backward the ignition key 1mm and vala air is flowing. It look like its a litle problem with the contakt in the barrel. I can live with that. Thank evrywone for the help. |
