Hi & welcome to our site ,

I think you are the first 3 member family to each have their own Cosworth .

I take mine to trackdays often , and have lightened mine .

The obvious and easiest & cheapest way is to take out the front carpets , the rear seats and sound deadening , and the spare wheel and tools etc.

Then you can replace the front seats , and get some lighter wheels . After this , the cost starts to rise . DTM cars used carbon roof / propshaft / dash / and obviously , many body panels .

Moving the battery is good too . After that it is up to you as to how far you want to go . The standard brakes are very good , especially so after losing some weight , so replacing pads and fluid for track stuff is normally sufficient . Or you can go with an Evo II set up or one from the 320-24V .

Let us know how you get on .

Jeremy :evo2: :driver:

Ah guys i think we all know this car. It was on ebay a few weeks ago wasnt it? I think this is the one that the member 'aemt' was going to buy but then he bought a different one instead. Looked like a good one though, a really nice example.

3 Mercedes 190 cosworths in the family, thats a nice collection. The black one in the pictures above looks really stunning. What is the mileage if you dont mind me asking? Its beautiful, and i spy an unblead laptimer! Cant wait to see some pictures of yours! :)
