so what does everyone know about them im gona be building one as part of my thesis for uni next year has anyone fitted one met anyone who has managed to run a car on nothing but water im looking your input opinions and help

for those that dont know the idea behind it is to use some of the wasted power from your alternator to produce hydrogen from water which is then fed into your engine to give a more efficient burn so you dont need to use as much dino juice some people say you can do this on pure hydrogen created as you need it and no need for petrol

even if you don think this will work i wana know why not just it dont and i will keep everyone up to date on how its going through build and testing if anyone is interested

A m8 of mine has gone into this in a big way and already got one of his 3 cars fitted with a hydrogen system. It's designed to assist with the fueling as opposed to running it completely. By all accounts, it's a bloody good idea, in that it can be turned off when pottering around town, or turned on when out on the main roads.
It uses dual electrodes filled with a hydrogen peroxide solution . . . . . I think anyway, and the gas produced is piped into the top of the air intake, thus enriching the mixture, or something like that.
Can't really say anymore, as that's as much as i know so far. I'll update when i see him next.

i have done a fair bit of research but how much of the stuff you read on the internet is true and how much is just made up so you never really know if it actually work or if it is just someone tryin to sell you something

the system im looking at should help rather than replace your petrol thinkin a multi plate set up run through a bubbler the up in to the airfilter

Hi Alan,
When I was at uni my basic searches were at sciencedirect, engineering village, ASME, SAE, NACA and finally the one I mainly used for my MSc was www.scirus.com ,
If you have an Athens account from your UNI you have to use it for most of the engineering databases. Otherwise check policies of uni for requesting journals and papers. Usually the latest papers and those of high importance are available on order.
