Today I didnt use the car to go to school as my father's car was avalabile so I tooked it. Anyway...I went for a run with the 190 and just came back. The steering as I exceed 20km starts to wooble a bit, the more I increase the speed, the more rapid the wooble become. Anyone know why? |

I'd agree with what mindingthepotole just said.. when's the last time you had the wheels balanced and the alignment done? |

Unfortunetly, I dont think she ever had! She made about 6 years stored in a garage after my grandad gave up driving. Last September I tooked the keys and started to getting her back to life. So as I book my service in, I'll book include the wheel alignment. Just a question.. I'm going to change all the 4 tyres soon, do you think I'll do the wheel alignment before changing the tyres or after? |

^^agreed^^ its the most likely. When you say the steering do you mean the wheel itself ? Or the car wobbling left/right ? If its the wheel then wheel balancing is the most likely, if its sudden then perhaps a weight came of. You should also check all the wheel nuts are tight. You have MB alloys right ? If so then no need to worry about dodgy spigot rings. COuld also be cause if an alloy is kerbed badly and bent or bends a steering component. |

i would get the wheel alignment done at the same time as your tyres. they will balance the wheels when they fit the tyres, and then they should get the alignment done after. |

The steering itself it starts to wooble. Yesterday I used the car and it wasnt doing this. So yes suddenly! Yes I'm fitted with the MB 15 holes. The car always wobbles left/right cause of the road conditions

Check there are no bulges in your tyres I know what the buses are like over in sunny Malta!!! I rememeber last time I was over when MOT's first got introduced I heard a story through my dad how ture it is I don't know but I could well believe it happened a bus driver fitted new tyres to his bus to get it through the test once it had passed he took it back to his garage and re-fitted the slicks lol |

ha thats what i do on the ka ive a new set of tyres on the steels i got free when i bought the car and only done a few hundred miles so swap for the mot and run alloys the rest of the year as they rub a little on full lock never had any problems but always keep the tyres good its as much for my safety as the test and a little rub on full lock aint a problem if you know about it |

Bus drivers are just crazy here in Malta, so Benzsc1 I believe what you have just said! ![]() I have solved my Wobbling problem. Just noticed that my right fron tyre was a bit low, and checked all the 4 tyres and gave them the same pressure. Guess what? No wobbling anymore!!! Handles great, and it accelerates faster than it used to be! I thought I had a bit of problem which needed some money, but thanks to some air, I arranged it free!!

Great news! Its amazing how much tyre pressues can make the car feel so different people always say to me after I have serviced the car how well it drives normally its because the tyre pressure have been set correctly during the service I find the people who say this are the types that would rare lift the bonnet or even wash thier wheels...... Its always good when you can fix something with no financial outlay
