Collected the wheels from Bristol today. Very nice. Will get them over for a refurb to get them back to A1 condition; although they are not in bad condition at all. Tyres on them are almost brand new so if anyone needs them let me know.

The wheels: 4 x Carat Duchatelet Ronals, with center caps and security locking bolts

PCD: 5 x 112 : 7.5 x16 ET 35

The Tyres:
2 x 225/55/16 V95 almost new (7-8mm tread - even wear)

2 x 225/60/16 V98 " " (7-8mm tread - even wear)

Both pairs of tyres are load, speed rated and made by Federal.

I really hope you can preserve the graphics on the centre caps.
Vital, imo.
Really looknig forward to seeing them on the car, once you sort new tyres ;)

Centre caps are the metal ones. Great condition so will not need work on. Only work required on any of them is on the polished rims. so the main body of the wheel does not need to be touched apart from a polish up. So signatures will be safe.

Brilliant :D
When I saw Nicks, the rims had a very fine 'Diamond Cut' finish - are yours like that?

Great buy! I have a set of these that I need to get round to refurbishing however they are missing the centre caps! Not sure I prefer them to my AMG reps though!

Pretty sure mine should have the plastic centre caps that clip in though. Might have to see about getting some alloy ones made up if possible. Are they just flat disks?

flat discs with internal rim (about 6mm) fit in the rebate then one locking bolt

Ok thanks will have to see about getting something made up, or maybe leave them off?!

Pretty sure mine should have the same centre caps as these:

Which I believe are made of plastic and don't have the locking bolt.

Unfortunately on mine the rims have been curbed previously so not sure how I'll be able to retain the polished rim?

Might go for a dark grey finish or might just leave it and ebay them!

Checked out The Polished Wheel Company as recommended by Cossie Con (have a look at their website of the same name) They picked up the Carats within half and hour (they had a van passing near Plymouth) Will do full refurb included rim and centre polish and return the wheels next week. Thats service. Oh - I haven't let them have the centre caps just in case some of you were worried about the signatures. £40 plus Vat per wheel including polishing. Will let you know the result. They do a nationwide service by courier so worth checking out at that price.

Wouldn't they need at least one centre-cap to try and match it...? :ermm:

The main part of the wheel is the same colour as the cap. They have confirmed they will colour match before they strip. I did not want to risk letting them have a cap. Those are things that do go missing easilly but are a nightmare to replace. I would rather have a tiny colour variation than have to try and source a new cap.

Had confirmtion email from the people refurbing the wheels yesterday. One wheel has gone off to their specialist paint supplier for colour matching. They wont strip the existing until they have done a test spray to confirm the colour match.

That is indeed Nick's garage queen that he sold recently.
I took the pic of it when it was on display at MB World.

Just cannot decide which car to put them on to be honest. I really like the momoblocks which are now on the Bornite replacing the eight holes.. There is no doubt they are one of the best designs around for these cars. And the Carats with the silver/grey will look magic against the blue of the Nautical Blue. Probably both from the same era too. They might also be too good for the daily. I will put a picture of the Nautical up and see if Matt can photoshop it to give me an idea of what they look like
