Right........I'm having crazy ideas! My car is two tone and I like that about it. I often see black cars being broken that have the 16v kit kitted and wonder what my car would look like with the 16v bumpers and sides etc (maybe not the wheel arch fitments) if I left it black? I don't think it would look too weird as black tends to go with anything......? I think I am also right that nothing blue would show through so there would be no need for any painting? Here is a pic of my car (it now has gone back to orange indicators). Maybe it would be easier to photoshop a car with the kit and make the upper half my 'diamond blue'? So I found one on google for you. This is a good pic as it has black bodykit and I plan to go back to AMG mono's. Thanks. ![]()

Looks good, but perhaps a metallic gunmetal would be better. |

Cheers guys. I'm not sure either. I think it works on merc190uk's cars but I'm thinking the light blue doesnt work with the black. Shame. I hoped it might be an option for me to improve the car without having to pay for paintwork! Fitting the kit I can do....... painting I cant! Stu |

Ive always liked the look of having the 16v kit without the wheel arch trims and a very low subtle spoiler, like an AMG one or a ducktail. Somehow I always think those cars look wider. Maybe its just my eyes. Silver.........now theres an idea! Stu |

thing is just sticking the 16v kit on will always look a bit strange sooooooo if you play around with the car and look at the whole picture you then get a basic idea of what it could look like

Stu, If you're going to put on the kit (or bumpers) you should keep it all one colour.. It'll look better than two tone (I.M.O). Have a look at Moomycossies's car - it's a similar colour to your car if not the same. |

So, when exactly did you last drive through a clay swamp? ![]() That is truly f'ing horrid Steve! Two Tone - the clue is in the name - only works when the colours have a significant tonal difference. Squint at the image, and you'll see that the Gold and Blue are way too close to each other, which is why it looks kinda putrid. After seeing Mercedescossy's car I cannot see pale blue metallic looking better than in Single Tone; ![]() ![]()

Respray? Earlier wheels not right but have to say I think I prefer the slightly smaller size (I've always been a small wheels person, rollin' on 15s yay). Edited by pentoman, Sun Apr 12, 2009 5:01 pm.

Aha! I did have trouble keeping up, as you guys have similar usernames and I thought you both had similar cars for a bit. I'm clearly going mad.
