My books only go up to 1990 so will update when i find more (or if you have any!! ) 1982 Dec - 190 launched at Frankfurt Motorshow! 1983 Aug - Prototype 16v clocked an average of 154mph over 25,000km, 25,000miles & 50,000km in 8 days & nights at Nardo test track!!! Sept - 190 & 190E launched in UK. (1st Chass. no. ............001440) Dec - Zebrano wood on centre console. 1984 March - Magazine nets on seats. Oct - 190D 2.0 launched. (1st Chass. no. ............042091) Heated door mirrors introduced. 2.0 Carb increase from 90bhp to 105bhp! 1985 Jan - Panoramic wiper & multi-point locking introduced. June - Side repeaters. July - 2.3-16 launched . (1st Chass. no. ............134550) 1986 Aug - 190D 2.5 launched(5 cyl!). 2.5D turbo launched (U.S & Europe only) Oct - 190E 2.3 launched (U.S. & Europe only??) Nov - Heated mirrors now std!. 1987 Jan - 190E 2.6 launched(6 cyl). Feb - ASD replaces LSD on 16v. 1988 Sept - Range facelift (cladding, new bumpers etc). Height adj. front seat belts & better rear legroom. Improved 5-speed gearbox Sept/Oct - 2.5-16 launched.. 2.3-16 dropped. 1989 March - Evo 1 launched 1990 March - Evo 2 launched. June - 190E 1.8 launched.. 190 Carb dropped. 1991 ???? - Sportline options introduced for 2.0 and 2.6 models - chassis and steering sport pack & interior options 1992 ???? - 1993 ???? - LE launched 1000 made (each with numbered certificate) in red, blue or silver. Aug - Production ceased. ........................................................................................ Total 190's built =1,874,668 built (including 16v figs. below) 190E 2.3-16.-- 19,487 190E 2.5-16.-- 5,743 190E 2.5-16 Evo I. --502 190E 2.5-16 Evo II.-- 502 ......................................................................................... My LE is a bit of an oddity as it was a Mercedes Benz company car and wasn't registered till 1994. Edited by nullogik, Thu Dec 11, 2008 10:37 am.

From my research (monitoriing the classifieds and asking owners) I think I can safely say that for the LE series, they were first registered from 1st June 1993 (K Reg) to 1st August 1993 (L Reg). There were of course some anomalies like my own car that was registered in 1994, but the majority of them appear to have been registered within those three months.
