yeah i'l be going over early sat evening and setting up camp then drinking then trying to wake up and get everone else up and kenny up and to get to the stand before 9am ! want stand of the show in 09 !!!!!!! closes after sunday so no camping sunday night

I think we should stress the point of all members turning up early. They close the "stand of the year" voting at around 11am (iirc) so we all need to be there by then so that we can win it this year!

That's one of my things that I can't afford to make from Malta up to UK! A part from other expensise, and a good insurance that I want to make etc etc.. But I'm thinking of coming to Retro 2009 by plane accompained with some of my friends, or my dad. |

You need get some sort of permission before you camp?? I mean you can't just go there and camp?? I've got my camp ready for my #1 Winter 09 camping , it's going to be the last weekend of January, from Friday to Sunday. Hope it will be a good weekend!!

Dread to think what state we'll be all in at 9 the next morning!  Def have to have a Northern Convoy, maybe meet up with the Scottish lads as well, get a nice big crowd of us. As for those not camping the second night, surely they'll let us at least show the cars, then pack up after the show? It is a weekend pass after all. |

Been given the all clear for Retro but it's Hotel for us guy's. Can someone give me the gen on dates, tickets, timings and everything useful. I guess I'll need to book up soon. Only decision to be made is which car?????? |

I'll defo be there, perhaps not in the 190 if I pull the engine this weekend, perhaps I'll trailer it behind the camper as it might have the diesel in but not running by then... ? If I do come in the 190, and in order for the various crews to get on the stand for 10am, I think we should all try and get there the night before so we don't have to try and make it up there before 10am or something... |

I will certainly be there the night before. The huge benefit of camping sunday night for me is the ability to have a beer or twelve during the day, 10 miles isnt far but if I have to stay sober I probably wouldnt bother. I only live an hour away. Mind you, if I come in the wagon and tow the beast I could sleep in the wagon directly outside the pods gates

Well I'll be at work on the Monday morning so it'll be a long drive home for us on the Sunday evening. Damn, I'll just have to work twice as hard on getting slaughtered on the Saturday night.
