I see the retro meet has been moved to a sunday next year, http://retroshow.co.uk/index.html This also coincides with the German 190 GTG http://translate.google.com/translate?sourceid=navclient&hl=en-GB&u=http%3a%2f%2fforum%2e190er%2dfreunde%2ddeutschland%2ede%2findex%2ephp%3ftopic%3d667%2e0 I`m just thinking out loud here, maybe it`s possible to have Friday and Saturday in Germany and arrive back in the UK on Sunday, Jeremy? Anthony? I know it`s a long way off for anyone to commit for definate, what with the present economic climate/ job security etc, does anyone have any thoughts about this? Ian |

We'll have to sort out some things for this years show, most importantly getting as many of the cars on the club stand as early as possible, best stand award is ours for the taking then. Though Im guessing with the show on a sunday we'll be camping over saturday so that'll all be taken car of nice and early

Better get working on it then mate  Might not have a 190 if mine sells, but i'm still coming! have my eye on a 320CE Coupe that will tide me over until i amass the funds for a mint 2.5 16v moomycossie, just a warning mate, your new car has a tendancy to wheel spin at Retro

I am not absolutely sure, but, I think that this is NOT the same day as Hockenheim 2009. It looks like a 190 "Treffen" (meeting). Not the 16V. Jeremy

Correct, Ian did say the German 190 GTG, which as far as I know is much bigger than the 16v meet? Especially if they plan on 2 days of it! I'd love to do both, but money is not so plentiful so if I had to choose it would have to be tracktime meet at Hockenheimring. Although arriving to Retro on the back of the W201 meet of all meets in Germany would just be awesome. |

This is the German 190 GTG, not the 16v meet, it`s organised by Thorsten and just down the road from his workshop. just thought it might be a laugh, it`s held from the 10th to the 12th, so if I went I would have to travel back sat night to be able to make retro. Ian |

hey guys wicked news bout retro, but saturday would have been better. u dont hav to worry bout work the next day. hopefully we will get a bigger tarmac patch and see just as many 190's there as last year, so come on boys!!!!! You can count on our 3 cossies being there :- mangatmotorsport, jags 2.5, and my nephews blue/black. see ev 1 there.....

Ive only just found this thread! All the pictures of the Retro car shows in previous years that i have seen on this site make it look like a really great day out. Hopefully i will be able to make it next year, in 2009, if not i will undoubtadly come in 2010 as then i actually can drive and hopefully will be able to drive the 190 on the roads!

hmm it seems that retro 2009 would not make it! i was planning to join all of you there, but i dont think so! my car will be ready..(hopefully) till july, but my budget will not be upgraded..defiently! hope ill see you at the retro 2010!
