Who's up for it ?

i am big time, just not been able to sort much info/research yet
spoke to DaveIrl about it in very small detail

here's my thinking :'(

three day break

leave uk fri/fri evening (if all could get fri off work that would be cool ) and camp somewhere in Ireland fri night

drive to and gtg sat in Dublin, camp the evening

drive back to uk Sunday

i think this could be a great idea and we have several members over there now so this could be a really good time for all of us to meet up

i know not many members from north and south will want to drive the many miles but would be one hell of a convoy through Ireland B)

so have i made any suggestions that are way outside the box or just impractical ?
or have i missed something really obvious that would help or hinder this idea

but most of all who wants in ? B)

COME ON IT WILL BE GREAT, WE ONLY LIVE ONCE B)

i hope to hear from you all soon :D

AT LONG LAST....... WOOHOO!!!! lol.

Count me in anyways.

But i can only imagine it involes a lot of hassle/expense for the UK members. So ive no doubt that it is impractical, but if a few people got behind the idea im sure it would be a very worthwhile trip.

C'mon.

B)

wherever it is, I'll be there. Dunno where to camp in Dublin, but there are plenty of places in mega scenic and picturesque Co.Wicklow.. just south of Dublin and no major distance to the return ferry..

as for the friday night, you have the whole island to choose from :)

That time of the year would campsites not be closing down for the winter but I would say oct would suit most best give everyone time to book ferrys and time off work

now that would be a convoy and a half ....

Yes it might be a bit expensive for the uk lot but admin could contact ferry company and ask for better rates as its a "club"....

Dublin is a bout a 3-4 hour drive from me so not a great problem.

Plus if it was this year it would give me a kick up the asre to get my kit on and sprayed ...

Why not leave it to next year and ppl will have plently of holidays to play with, because i know that i have no holidyas left from work at this point and some ppl will be on the same boat ...

Great idea though !!!

We could all meet at the Anglesea Circuit before driving the last few miles to Fishguard.

As for where to camp, the closer to Jonnie Fox's in Glencullen the better!!

Link to Jonnie Fox's website!

Perhaps if one of our Irish members gave them a call they would know somewhere!

Some great mountain roads up there, my friends do some midnight runs regularly B) :driver:

I think it would be a good location, that whole area or near Glendalough or something is all very tourist friendly i.e. will have good campsites ;)

ok

this is a good start B)

we have members up for it so thats great

i'll do a poll to ask what year you want 08 or 09

we could do both B)

seriously though the hardest part will be getting us all together in time for the ferries :X

do we get the ferry over lunch time fri (means day of work for people to get there in time)
or late fri night then most of us will not need to get the day off but some still may.

tents or hotel ? (hotel = warmth and bar  )

lets keep this one rolling as it could be agreat gtg / road trip B)

Sometime after we get this one completed, I'd like to see one in the North. As a bonus I can arrrange a track day at Nutts Corner Circuit.

camping would be cold but it just meens you need a thicker beer jumper to get you through the night.

I am up for it in theory, cost/funds and temps will dictate which car I come in. Another option is a static caravan somewhere, or a few.

great idea, sounds like fun,and would be an easy trip for the members in the west and wales,
also dublin is quite central and does not take too long from either port.
