the red M3 is virdi's (Cosworth), and the blue 320i cabrio is my mate nick who came along when he heard that the red M3 was gonna be there.

The blatent bonnet shot is to keep cosworths brother happy who spent hours polishing it :)

Excellent job on the pictures 10/10.

Very nice day out, enjoyed every minute of the GTG. Lovely Weather.

Many thanks to all that turned up.

I must say, it turned out better than I expected.

Kenny, I hope your mate enjoyed the quick spin around the block.

Glad everyone appreciated viewing the M3.

Good experience. :mercedes:

its the subject matter that makes the photos :)

I totally forgot I had my video cam in the back of the car, should have got some footage of those of us leaving rubber in the rub car park !!!

I just noticed, the BMW M POWER photo really looks like the wording is photoshopped on.

andy, we can always arrange to be there early and line up across the road to help you stop ?

You might have to!! Realised they had failed as I roared onto a roundabout!! Really sketchy with cars everywhere but managed to sling it round (thank god it handles!) with some screaming tyres missed the exit I needed totally and had to go round a 5m detour before getting back on route. Limped home with massive gaps betweenthe cars.

Cheers guys for a great meet. The location was very nice, plenty of parking and a nice drive there. Lovely weather too B)

Crysak - very clean car mate, you must be proud - keep us posted on your developments :)

Ewan - thanks for the ride in the VX220 :driver: - certainly different in almost every way to the rest of the MBs!

+ everyone else for being there - hope to see you all again soon.

It was a good meet. My merc would have definitely looked out of place with its cloth trim and wheel trims instead of alloys. :o So glad I took the vx instead.

RE, the pax rides - thats what the vx is for - completely pointless fun drives just for the sheer hell of it. :D

Actually I did use it to commute in this morning and am now sitting here wondering why I bothered. I did 40mph on the A31 and then 30mph on the twisty 60mph roads from the A3 to where I work. Bloody traffic!

Chris - I suspect that its the car that is out of proportion to you and me in the picture above. As Lisa said, it looks like its radio controlled!

I thought the best bit was when Cosworth (sorry can't remember actual name) asked me if I had a 190!! :D Sorry, er... yeah I just brought the wrong car! :D

To balance things out the next vx meet is being held at a pub on a weekday evening. I'll take the merc and remind vx owners what comfortable seats other cars have and what luxury it is to have central locking and electric windows. ;)

Sorry to have missed this, would like to have met you guys... judging from the standard of vehicle though and the way that everyone seems to have not only washed but waxed their cars also, I'm sure I would only have let the side down!

I'd be up for another meet in London or surrounding areas at some point again soon.

I reckon the location on Saturday was spot on. Lovely scenic drive there along the A31 etc, nice local roads and the hotel/pub had a nice car park although I was a little late for lunch/drinks unfortunately.

Great to meet up with everyone and make some new contacts. There was a strong 16v presence. Highlights included Will's immaculate 2.5-16v and Verdi being told off for his enthusiastic driving by a man in an MPV :P .

Definately up for a London GTG but my car needs serious attention first :( (another thread)

Basically the guy in the MPV couldn't take it because he was faced with all our nice cars against his dappy MPV (CRAP).

I bet his MPV couldn't spin on the spot like the M3 LOL.gif

totally agree bro

the reason that geezer thought he'd have a go at you that day was becoz

A. his wife told him to
B. like you said the guy was in a shity renault mpv :driver:

but it was funny wen you lashed back at him

the geezer: why are you driving like that for there are kids about! (quere voice)

virdi: WHATS YOUR PROBLEM YOUKIDS ARE MILE AWAY!!! (literally)

the geezer:   (lost for words and got scared)

have to admit though! the guy was totally lost for words infront of his misses
